The interior design is unique, spacious, and cozy. Servers are very attentive and warm.

When we got there we were sat right by the door which was open so it was chilly. They were accommodating and gave a new table option. There were five of us and when the food got delivered we only got four meals and it appeared they forgot the fifth. Also we took pictures in the photo booth and never got the email with the pictures. Our waitress was nice but not apologetic about missing the fifth meal. I had dined here before and was excited to bring my family however the experience was not one that I was proud to have recommended.

The space is very interesting and the food is delicious. However, within the first five minutes at our table we were interrupted multiple times by wait staff loudly saying "corner!". It was so annoying we asked to move. It seems as though tables in the barn are the only tables not subjected to thus disruption. The hostess was kind enough to move us there and we enjoyed our dinner.

Great ambiance and friendly service! Food choices are limited but they give cornbread to every table which is nice.

Local place in NJ which my family and I hesitantly tried. What an awful experience! Stay away and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This place is overrated and a wanna be city restaurant. Waitstaff is not trained properly. High prices for what it’s worth ! And one dish, which escapes my mind, can be used as spackle! Pointed out to waitress and she didn’t know what to say! Really? Stay away!!

Front porch swings and rocking chairs. Hand stencil wallpaper. Your great great grandparents oil portraits on the wall. The mounted head of a wild boar. Hand forged coat hooks and knob and tube type push button light switches. This is the recreation of the farmhouse that existed in Clifton long before Route 3 and even the railroad. Not one aspect looks Disney. Relax and melt in while being served some of the best tasting fare in Jersey. With all its restaurants you cannot find anything like this in Montclair. Barrow House is destined to be iconic.

Came here for a coworker's birthday. I saw that many people on instagram had went to this place so I figured why not. The outside is very cute with a porch and porch seating but you have to talk to the hostess. The bar has a super rustic southern feel to it. The staff dress as if they live in the south on the country side. The menu isn't crazy big at all. The pricing on the food is a little pricey especially with the small portion they give but everything tasted amazing. They give you cornbread as you wait. The cocktails are delicious as well. They have this super cute photo booth so I totally recommend taking a pic before leaving. This place isn't an every week outing just an fyi.

such a cute place with all the different rooms make you feel like you are somewhere else with the open doors feels like indoor/outdoor dining

Food was excellent... the noise level was extremely loud and our waitress left much to be desired, but the food made up for the poor service.
