   I booked this lunch for a family 50th birthday for Tuesday 20 June. On arrival we found the gates locked and the restaurant closed, with a sign saying it was closed Monday & Tuesday. Why was my booking accepted (and reconfirmed the day before the booking) if the restaurant was not even open? This was a special occasion, booked months earlier, that was ruined by bad administration.

   This was not what I had expected. The food is usually good but this was not up to standard. Very expensive

   I admit to being a fussy diner but asked to omit something from one of the paninis but was informed they’re not made fresh on the premises so unable to amend . Not really their fault but would put me off going again .

   Was a lovely atmosphere for a valentine lunch. However was disappointed the burger was so small in the bun, although it was very tasty. The desserts although acceptable could have done with a little more sugar in the cheesecake base and crumble topping... this is obviously personal taste. The staff were friendly and professional. Shame the gift shop and farm shops weren't open to heighten our visit

   The customer service was lacking. Nobody came to our table to ask if everything was ok and nobody collected our plates, or asked if we wanted more drinks. Until we spoke to the manager about it. We had the roast beef which was ok but we couldn’t eat the beef as it was so tough.

   Lovely venue for a relaxed brunch, family orientated with a good selection of dishes. Plenty of parking, we had no need for disabled access so can’t comment.

   A very pleasant lunch catching up with a friend. We were attended to quickly and asking questions about choices which were promptly answered. Food arrived in good time and our choices were very good tasty and hot. A delightful setting and we will be returning again.
