   We enjoyed dinner on the balcony as we listened to a wonderful musician. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was fantastic. It was such a relaxing evening.

   This place has a great cocktail menu, wine list and food menu. We were there on Mother's Day weekend and as most restaurants lately- they seemed a bit under staffed. There was some miscommunication at the front desk - we were told the brunch was sold out on Sunday but there would be a cafe open with breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Coffee was a yes but no food was available. The staff was friendly and polite, even under stressful conditions :-)

   The entire property was beautiful! The service was great. However , the food for me didn’t meet expectations. The shrimp and crab dish was $32 and was the size of a side dish. No salad and no bread. I ate the whole thing and left hungry and I usually only eat half a meal. For that price, I should leave full. The rest of my party had burgers , chicken and crab cakes and it was just good, not great. Glad I went but wouldn’t necessarily go back.

   We had reservations for two following a theater production. The couples before us in line were each seated in the dining room. The hostess then took us to a tiny table in the bar. I mentioned that we had made reservations and I would prefer to be seated in the dining room. She gave me some excuse about “2 tops”… It took a while for the bartender to come to our table for our drink order (never introduced himself), then instead of making our drinks, he was cleaning up the bar, washing glasses, etc. and finally prepared and brought our drinks. And although we specifically requested ketchup when we ordered our meals, the kitchen staff brought our meals without any. The entire time we were there, the walkway between our table and the bar was like a runway for the waitresses that were working in the dining room - I think to place and pick up drink orders. Not very relaxing and no view of the beautiful Yellow Breeches 😔. So they “take” reservations, but don’t seem to know what reservation means. Disappointing experience.

   Loved my meal-cheddar burger & a side salad. The sticky bun for dessert was so good! The waitress & all the servers, hostesses etc I interacted with were friendly, skilled & very accommodating & they work so hard! Highly recommend The Barn!

   Our server was great,very friendly and helpful. Food was just ok,cocktails very good. Appetizers were delicious, and dessert was just ok.

   This was our second visit to this restaurant. There were three of us in attendance. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is very interesting. They have multiple rooms, a deck and bar that can be used to enjoy your meal. The service was great, the food was very good and portion sizes were commensurate with the price. The winner of the night was the crab cakes. Almost no filler and a large portion of lump crab. The salads were a good choice. The crab and asparagus soup was average. I needed to add some salt and pepper to bring up the taste. We will definitely be returning to the restaurant.

   Our experience was lovely. The service was excellent and the food just as excellent. We also enjoyed the music provided by Ben Simcox. He was very easy to listen to and the volume was such that we could listen but also converse with each other. We’ll be back. Thank you!

    Took a long time before anyone approached our table to serve us. Order was submitted to the kitchen wrong therefore we received the wrong order. 8 oz steak was the size of a 4 oz steak. Scallops not fresh, frozen bag is my guess,. Took over an hour to get our incorrect order once we ordered. Would not go back!
