This is the third time I’ve tried Allenberry. Every time it’s the same; understaffed, still seating tables, waitresses running around like fruit flies, mediocre food. Drinks are good, but grossly overpriced and good luck getting more than one because you’ll never see your server.

The all-you-can-eat crab dinner was amazing. The staff was very accommodating for my post-surgical strict low-fat diet and substituted sides and even heat up some no-fat butter I brought along. We always have a great time at The Barn

The barn at Allenberry was delicious. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is fantastic. The patio has music playing and a roof, overlooking the property & creek. We had the pulled pork Mac & cheese and the short rib. Both were FABULOUS!

Our server Sarah, the coleslaw, the espresso martini, and the dessert were all great! The crab legs were not very good at all. They put the crab on top of the fries.. which made them soggy. I would definitely come back and try something else.

Ambiance was wonderful. Actually expected quality after driving 2 hrs to arrive. Was excited for "all you can eat" crab legs only to be disappointed by the worst meal I have ever had. Myself and my company were to say the least "disgusted". Our service was the worst, the meal was not of any quality. I could have done better and spent less by staying home and purchasing my own crab legs and cooking them myself. Crab legs were over-cooked; waitress had no idea how to clean a table or even get you another drink. Manager attempted to do his job but no to any standard we had been used to. At the end of the meal (when leaving "brown-colored" crab legs behind), the manager attempted to give us a $25.00 gift certificate for when we return. He would have impressed us more if he would have discounted our $200.00 meal. As indicated to the manager, he could keep the gift certificate as I can assure you that we will NEVER return and would not recommend The Barn to any of our friends.

On 5/7 we had dinner at the Barn. We ordered the charcuterie board. I asked the waitress how much baguette comes with it, she said a half of a loaf..it came out with 3 skinny pieces of bread about 1 1/2" long.. there was to be candied walnuts which never arrived..this cost $18.00..so disappointed. Then the waitress did not take our order until the charcuterie board was finished..my husband ordered steak which took some time. We were so hungry waiting, I asked if we could get some rolls.. well,,one roll came out sliced into four pieces and there was an upcharge of $3.00 (are you serious)? This is a disgrace.. Also, we were asked when making reservations if we were celebrating anything and we said our 47th Anniversary..why did they ask? No one even mentioned it.. Not happy with our meal..price gouging, could have been a lovely dinner.

Weather was perfect for a Sunday brunch and the view quaint and soothing watching nature and fisherman, casting on the YellowBreeches. From the hostess, who ask if we would prefer to sit on the deck to the wait staff and waitress were all smiles, friendly and accommodating . The brunch was not disappointing. We ordered the eggs Benedict (recommended) the waffles with fried chicken with a drizzle of maple seasoned perfectly sauce, which was just enough kick to make it different and a must get again dish. The salad with strawberries and candied walnuts was a nice touch all the flavors. The biggest surprise to us when the check came it was under $50 and both of us looked at each other and went wow that was a lot of food. We must share this experience with others highly recommend.

We enjoyed the cocktails and brunch menu items but the service was just not very good. Once we we seated, it took at least 15 minutes for a server to take our drink orders, and we never got water refills. The staff was pleasant enough, but definitely lacking in their attention to and timeliness with us.

Wonderful place, the staff are fantastic, I was a bit concerned because of a few negative reviews, but my wife and I went for our first year wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. We stayed the night, caught a play, and had dinner at the Barn and breakfast the next morning. All great. We'll be back in the future for sure.

We honestly stumble upon Allenberry passing through. We wish we could’ve stayed longer, the food at the Barn is INCREDIBLE! Huge portions. Don’t skip the sticky buns, you won’t regret it!!

We had trout and salmon and lobster tortellini. All done to our liking and served up on beautiful white dishes. The side of shoestring truffle fries is a shareable item, don’t miss this , great thin well done fries. The desserts are a trip to happy land, the turtle cheesecake is a winner.

We went for their first Wednesday Night AYCE crab legs and had a great time! They have an awesome drink menu so we started at the bar for cocktails. Bartender, Lucas always makes the best drinks and we enjoyed the atmosphere while waiting for our table. Once seated we ordered quickly and our first round of crab legs came out with fries and coleslaw super quick! Our server, Thora checked on us frequently and made sure we had refills asap! She was super nice and attentive. The dining room was super full but we were taken care of from start to finish. We will definitely be back for another crab night or dinner soon!

They were short staffed and it was the kickoff for all you can eat crab legs. Service was slower than normal. I ordered a steak medium and it came out rare. It took 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and, my party had to get her attention. She proceeded to ask if I wanted to have it sent back and recooked. It came back dry and not flavorful at all. We waited 15 minutes for a Pepsi refill and barely saw our waitress. The crab legs were very good as were the scallops and appetizers. The manager did come by and ask for suggestions. I would go back and recommend the crab legs.

The Barn is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Central PA. The GM is amazing in his attentiveness to needs, and quite honestly, the whole staff is above par. I wish I could rate it higher than 5 starts. As a Boiling Springs native, I am so excited to have such fine dining in the area.
