I need a refund i made reservations for 11 no one explained nor was it listed on OpenTable that the kitchen closes at 1045. We came for the full experience of the illuminarium and the bar. We walked in and out because of no food we had drinks at the show and want food. Why let us make a reservation without explaining the kitchen closing time and give the customer the option of if they would like to go in.
Food was awful. Sliders were dry, tacos tasted awful and dry, had zero flavor and there were hard pieces in my chicken in the tacos. People’s mask’s were on the floor along with napkins and trash scattered under tables. It took well into 45 minutes for the tapas to get to us. As soon as the food came, we ate a bit and asked for the check immediately and left. 45 minutes of just waiting for, not even a full meal, but tapas! I will never go here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I am so embarrassed I took my fiancé here for his birthday. I wanted to cry on the way home and apologized profusely to him. This place is a cash grab and they should be ashamed to even be an establishment. And illuminarium is opening other locations? What an awful idea. 0/10.
The vibe of the bar is really nice. But the price of the food and drinks are too high. Service was really good though. If you're looking for a bar thats not ridiculously crowded, and just want to sit and enjoy company this is your best bet. The drink we got was good, the fries however we cold and soft.
We didn’t have food, we just came for drinks. Drinks are not good. Taste like artificial juice mixers and served in plastic cups. For a bar, and drinks priced $16 that’s very disappointing.
The space is very cool though the scenes are computer generated and a little underwhelming. Looks good in pictures.
We were shocked and disappointed it was a small room and the walls had one image that stayed on for at least 15 minutes and then a second image and it was just these two images. After going to the Safari at Illuminarium Atlanta‘s just very disappointing also the cover charge to get in was $15 a person and the drinks were $16 each it was just over priced for the experience.
Cool concept but a few things need to be addressed. We had reservations when we arrived we had to wait 10 min before being seated. No big deal. Then the waitress lost our drink order and after 15 min came back and asked again. Then took our drink and food order again. Didnt see her again till food order came out. After that didn't see her till we flagged her down to get our check. Hostess was nice and professional and did her best. Should go once......would not go back.
Cool experience and atmosphere but wish there were more than 2 scenes being displayed. Got a little bored and left early.
The atmosphere and the drinks were great! We didn’t order food so I’m not really sure how it was. When you get to the door you’re told you only have 90 minutes to be in there. Which I get, because of the crowd. I honestly wouldn’t have paid for the reservation if I knew there was a time limit. It took about 20 minutes before someone came to get our drink orders. Then another 30-40 minutes to actually receive our drinks. By that time, we didn’t have time to order another one because our time was almost up. I would not waste the money for the bar
If you are planning to attend this experience please note a couple of things:
1. The experience is different and is enjoyable. Prepare yourself to be mesmerized by your surroundings although the projection only changes between two scenes.
2. There is a 90 minute table limit. The wait staff was short staffed the night we visited which delayed the drinks and food, they did not rush us.
3. While the music choice does not go with the scenes, it was still nice music.
4. It can be underwhelming to some but it is still a nice outing and something different to do.
5. It is a BAR, keep that in mind and you will enjoy yourself. Socialize with your partner or group and have fun.
Giving it a 4 out 5 on whether people should visit.
The experience was amazing and the lights were really amazing. Unfortunately for a $15 cover the service isn’t great and the drink selection is minimal and is served in a plastic cup.
Let me start by saying illuminarium was awesome! My fiancé and I went for date night and the vibe was great! Customer service was awesome and the wild after dark experience was one for the books. The food was trash! We ordered fries and mini tacos (chicken) everything was flavorless!! The drinks were awesome!
We had been to the Illuminarium show previously and were really excited to try out the bar. Things started promptly at 8 - we were seated in nice comfortable chairs - it started out good. A few items:
1. Time of service. It was 36 minutes after we were seated that we had drinks in our hand.
2. The scenery was computer generated and lacked detail - it was underwhelming.
3. Music was not in sync with the location of the scenery. I thought that was the point (to feel like you're in that location).
4. Everyone was really friendly.
5. The drinks themselves were very good - bartender had a long pour and we enjoyed the drinks.
Great concept - execution needs some improvement.
The Bar at the Illuminarium would be a cool space if they didn't try to milk money. $15 cover. No tap water, must pay for bottles. $16 cocktails that were airplane quality and served in plastic cups. Drinks are too expensive and not good enough to hang out for long enough to get your money's worth out of the cover.
The space itself is pretty cool and fun to look at. It cycles between 2 scenes, a flower garden and a Japanese street. Its a glorified screensaver, but it makes for good pictures and was fun to look at. The music was really loud and clubby, which made it hard to talk and honestly took away from the immersiveness of the experience.
In the end, we found out they had a $2 beer special which allowed us to hang out longer without breaking the bank, and the food was pretty good. The space itself was cool, but I would not return or recommend it for the current cover, prices, and quality.
This is a great bar for date night. The ambiance was cool and the food/drinks were tasty.
Didnt eat, but just went for nightcaps. Little pricey considering the $15 cover charge but was still unique. The building rent can't be cheap... and removing the cover might change the clientele.
I felt like it was overpriced. The food wasn’t amazing and drinks were okay. I understand the cover but I really was underwhelmed. I loved the ambiance but they need a better menu to make it worth the price.
Don’t waste your time, or money. $15 per person cover (plus cost of drinks) for just a small room with projectors, awkwardly loud music that doesn’t even fit the images on the walls vibe and mediocre drinks. It felt like a party where no one showed up or if they did they left right away.
Staff was nice, felt bad for them. Seemed everyone else there only had one drink and left like we did.
Horrible drinks, ok service
I loved the Vibes in the place. I only recommend adding more food options.
We felt like we got scammed lol.
Interesting idea but could be done so much better. The projections were underwhelming, and the MUSIC. I wish they would have played better music because it is loud, it was low-tempo rap/hiphop/soundcloud beats over and over, they should have had house music or something with more style and variety. I guess if you don't mind Fetty Wap for 90 minutes then it's for you.
Sliders were surprisingly good, drinks were strong, server was fine. If this weren't quite so overpriced we would have been happier.
I was so excited to try the new immersive bar. Marketing really set it up to be a great time. However it was not. the Immersive environment was cool but could have done more. two scans were a bit blah. Our drinks were not good. My prosecco tasted like a flat moscato sent it back and ordered a gimlet which I never received. There were so many workers at the bar and what appeared to be one overstressed server working the room. Hat to hunt her down to get out check. The food was so so so the tandoori wings were so huge they were frightening. The music was good. Over all the experience needs to be greatly tweaked. It's a super concept but execution is lacking. At this point I would not go back and neither would I recommend it.
Very nice upscale bar with a tantalizing scene. I would highly recommend the grown and sexy to visit here. Loved it.
Limited cocktail selection but other than that it was nice.
Service was not great and the $15 cover is not worth it
I had high hopes after entering the beautiful atmosphere and feeling transported to another place instantly…sadly, the hopes plummeted drastically afterwards…there weren’t any food options for pescatarians or vegetarians. The menu seen online for the bar is not the same one offered once you arrive. The food was underwhelming and that’s a generous statement. Service was incredibly slow and it took us 1hr and 15min before we received our food order. The drinks came slowly as well, thankfully it didn’t take an hour though. If you want to visit, I HIGHLY recommend eating your fill of dinner elsewhere and just have a drink or two here. It’s incredibly beautiful once you step inside and the music is great, but don’t get your hopes up too high for much else.
The servers and bartenders were slow and not organized. It took 25 minutes to get a drink. When I got my crown and coke it was watered down. The 16 dollar glass of wine was terrible. It has a great view and so much potential but management needs to fix the service and drink quality.
Perhaps my friends and I are not the target audience. It seems to be aimed toward the Instagram crowd looking to grab a few posts before moving on. There were several women on their phones taking pictures with various poses...they seemed somewhat content.
*I apologize for the forthcoming pretentiousness.*
I didn't expect much of the cocktails and it was on par with the expectation. Limited selection overall. One cocktail tasted only of Sprite. One had the simple nixed, so it was tolerable.
I've never been one for the club scene, but I assume that was the music vibe they were going for. The walls vibrated from the music. Not the best when you are projecting images on them.
And about those walls. The entire place is white to allow for projected images to fill the room. The projection was the reason for us to try the bar out. It sounded like you'd be transported to some amazing landscape. The running joke of the night was that we were placed into a Windows Vista animated background. The quality was horrible. It was a computer animated background to look like a rainy, metro side street in Japan then switched to cherry blossom trees...with very large animated koi swimming by...in the trees. I was expecting some high quality images. My galaxy projector is more impressive than what we saw.
The best we could do was laugh and mark it off as another "and now we know" experiences.
We we’re very surprised with what we found. There were beautiful scenes being projected on the wall. However, there was incredibly loud music blasting that didn’t fit with the themes that were being projected. It was so loud that our group couldn’t talk to each other. We were also surprised and disappointed with the basic bar menu.
We were expecting craft cocktails in a bespoke space presented in a unique way. That wasn’t what we found.
The projections are great, but the bar program and music need to be tweaked. I’m rooting for this place. It’s a great idea.
The ambience is great!! Love it. My parking experience was another story. Terrible!
I loved the bar experience. The drinks were fantastic. The scenes were amazing. I would like the scenes to rotate between all available and not just the two they had alternating the night we were there.
I feel the service was super slow and overpriced for what we got. Super limited selection as well.
They’re running less than a quarter of features provided on the website so we only switched between two scenes.
Music was obnoxious and didn’t fit the vibe of the bar and aesthetic.
Disappointed with how far my money went.
