An overall good experience... great food and a great view of Wrigley!!!! Service was good too...Only issue was the price... OVER $70 (not including tip) for 3 sandwiches and no alchohol...a poor value... but I guess you pay for the view....
This was even better than expected. Stylish comfortable decor, very good pleasant but not intrusive service and delicious apps, lunch options and drinks. Do not miss the spicy shrimp app. Prices within reason. Top notch.
Very cool place to eat before or after the Cubs game. The staff was great, food was excellent and the design of the bar was outstanding!
Great looking facility with good food
We had a fantastic time in this gorgeous bar that held eight people in a booth fit for a king and queen. Loved every minute of my time there. The drinks were fun and food was delicious!
Food is great. I have been here many times. Only had poor service one time. All the other visits were great. I think the music is too loud. It makes it difficult to talk. I really recommend the food, service, and comfortable seating.
Great place for a prefunction before a game at Wrigley. We had breakfast at 10 a.m. inside and were able to get priority for the patio outside overlooking the field at 11. One hint--don't need reservations for breakfast and host kind of scoffed that we'd made them.
The Shoshito Peppers are amazing. So addicting. The Fried Chicken Sandwich & fries are also good. And their cocktails are on point. We had the Old Fashioned & Manhattan....yum. We sat outside and overlooked Gallagher Way which happened to be doing Movie on the Big screen!
Only down side was the service. We rarely saw our waitress. We were on a schedule and had to go look for her. But been there before and had no issues with the staff.
We brought our son for his 21st birthday and were treated like royalty even on a busy Cubs game afternoon. It made his day! We will be back!
The most millenial afternoon tea I've been to. Sweets are from a bakery, not in house. No tea menu & no listing on what you're getting. Just okay.
Had a late lunch on the patio on a gorgeous summer day. Loved it and will visit again!
Great spot to grab drinks
Pre - cubs game fun
Before Cubs game we stopped for a quick dinner! So convenient, Great atmosphere, delicious burger ... look forward to my next visit!
Service left a lot to be desired. And if I'm paying $60 for two rounds of drinks I don't expect to wait 15 minutes just to get glasses of water
Overrated. Service was fine but your paying for them to just be a mediocre restaurant in Wrigleyville. Nothing special about the food or drinks. So many other cooler places to go with delicious food thats worth the price. I mean 4 tiny chicken wings for $15??? Never again.
We ordered two cheeseburger well to split ( our kid and us), service was slow and the burgers came out cut in half bloody red. We sent back and left without eating lunch. Big disappointment
We went for a drink and bite to eat. The bar was about 40% filled. When someone left a table by the window, we sat ourselves (pretty expected in a bar....and there were no signs indicating that we should not do so). We waited for 15-20 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. When she finally came over, the waitress chastised us for seating ourselves. I don’t think I’ve ever had a server speak to me with like that. It took another 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. It appears that management may already be aware of these issues, so I hope they act quickly to turn the service issues around. The food and drinks are decent, and the view and location are hard to beat. It’s a shame that the service is bringing this place down.
Great place, our service this time paled in comparison to our last visit. Ambiance is wonderful but best if you’re outside on a perfectly cool summer evening, which we were not seated although it was requested. It’s a great spot but seems hit or miss.
Service was excellent! The food was amazing! The decor was cozy and modern - had an awesome time here with my family.
Great space! Friendly staff!!
The bar is very nice and comfortable inside. They have an upper outdoor patio which is covered...perfect for people watching across from Wrigley Field. The service was not so great. We waited 30 minutes then had to ask for a staff member to find our server. 15 minutes later a server came to our table, but I was already at the bar getting our own drinks. At this point the bar was almost empty of patrons, so there was no reason for this to have happened. After another half an hour or so, another server came by. She said that she was our server. Which means it took our actual server about an hour ad 15 minutes from when we sat down to come to our table. This is not acceptable. We were offered no comps, just a quick apology. The food was good. I wish the selection was a little bigger. Aside from the service, I would recommend it to others.
Wonderful ambiance, excellent food and great service.
We will definitely come back.
Love love love the atmosphere! And it’s across from Wrigley!! What else could you ask for!
Great place for a before-game dinner in Wrigleyville. Perfect location. Somewhat limited menu, but otherwise good.
This place is always great and the servers are wonderful.
Great place before a Cub game!
Absolutely loved it. Our server Griffin was awesome!
We had 7:30 dinner reservations on a game day. We were seated in the area by the pool table and am guessing it was because it was much quieter than the regular bar where there were loud and over served Cubs fans. We were appreciative of the hostess decision to put us in that room but we were harassed by a very drunk person at the next table. The staff absolutely knew he was drunk based on their interactions with him (2 different staff members) but no one made the decision to STOP serving him and escorting him out. We were at the Cubs game as well so we absolutely expected to see fans at the bar as well. However, the hotel needs to consider how they handle overly exuberant fans, over served fans and those that cross the line. We spent close to $600 for the room, parking and dinner and it just sucked.... I must say that our server was great, timely and professional. Our food was great too. But.... we definitely didn't expect having to deal with the drunk next to us, after the staff knew he needed to be GONE...
It was too noisy...music sound be turned down. We should be able to talk at the table without yelling, but overall a great time.
Always a pleasant experience. Staff is friendly and very efficient
Loved this venue. Very warm and cozy on the patio and Wrigley Field is right there.
This is one of my favorite places in Wrigleyville. It is especially fun on game day on the patio overlooking the crowd and Gallagher Way. Service has ALWAYS been outstanding. Food as well. I will be back many times.
All out of Bloody Mary mix on opening day?!? Horrible preparation!
Absolutely loved The Bar at Hotel Zachary. We live in the neighborhood and were looking for a place with great ambience that we could walk to. Took our son, home from college for spring break, and he loved it too-a 20 year old and his "old" parents both liked the ambiance of a restaurant? How often does that happen? Limited menu but sophisticated pub food which was delicious. Our waiter was excellent. We sat at a table with super comfy seats but plenty of folks sat at the gorgeous bar, having dinner bar side. Lighting is perfect (I'm a nut about lighting-bad kills the mood.), music was lively and there was a lovely terrace with a fireplace with plenty of casual seating. The Bar at Hotel Zachary has a sort of chic, low lighting, industrial, upscale library/pub vibe going. Also spotted a cool industrial style long table with seating for 12 which would be a great place for a celebration. We will be regulars!
Fantastic food and drinks. We went there before a concert at the Metro and loved the ambiance and coziness mixed with elegance.
It was a cold, windy winter night and my husband and I were in town to visit our daughters. They both live near Wrigley, so we met at The Bar at Hotel Zachary for a drink before dinner. The room was so warm and welcoming, and the service so great, we ended up staying there all evening. We ate dinner here (was very good), and more friends ended up meeting with us there. So what began as a quick drink at 6:00 pm before dinner, ended up being drinks, dinner and friends until midnight!
Awesome new restaurant in Wrigleyville. Beautiful!
