Food was average and Very expensive. The restaurant is very pretty they should improve the menu and the quailing of the food for such an expensive restaurant it was very disappointing The bolognese pasta was not so good

This was our third visit to The Banks and it was the least satisfying. Service was attentive but a bit amateur. We had two servers, presumably working in tandem, but there was clear confusion between the two of them as to what our needs were. I believe one server may have been a trainee? In any case, service was unusually slow throughout the evening. Cocktails from the bar took in excess of 20 minutes after ordering to reach our table, and once our food orders were taken, 45 minutes passed before the food arrived. The staff were quick to bring us the bill after the meal once we asked for it, but again it took 20 minutes for the staff to work out the totals and bring us the credit card form. All this contributed to a very long evening. As for the food, it too was not as memorable as twice in the past. The (expensive) Dover Sole was merely OK, not outstanding, as it ought to be for its $75 cost, and the King Salmon entree was accompanied by a disk of - something - that was curiously free of any taste whatsoever. Also, the Dover Sole arrived with its accompanying sides of potatoes (not the fingerlings the menu promised, but chunks of a larger spud) and basically inedible broccolini that was tough, under-seasoned, and unappealing. Both sides were on the cool side, as if they might have sat for a while after they had been plated. On the plus side, we did have pleasant and knowing help from the excellent sommelier. The Banks had been an attractive place for good seafood in the past, and I hope that last night's visit was an anomaly and not a worrisome sign that their earlier excellent standards are beginning to slide.

We had a good experience at The Banks! The room was impecable (there are two floors, we sat upstairs) it is a little bit cozier. Food was very good and service very friendly and professional. Drinks were served immediately and were well prepared. The place was quite empty for a Saturday night.. but hey this happens I guess.. We will def go back and wish them the best of luck!

Our first time in this restaurant and not last for sure! The presentation of the food amazing! The taste even better! Little slow at the beginning with the service but after everything was served at timely manner.

My only complaint was that the dessert was pricey. And did not meet the same quality as the rest of the food.
