Everything was delicious! Started with oysters and clam chowder, both were absolutely amazing. I had the dover sole for dinner which was incredible, a must try if you have never had it. A little pricey but well worth it. Hubs had the fish and chips which was really good. Two thick large pieces of haddock with a light batter. Overall wonderful experience!
This was our first time at this restaurant, and it was fantastic, from the food to the drinks (great list of IPAs!) to the ambiance and the service. This is our new favorite fish restaurant in Boston! We'll be back soon!
Highly recommend appetizer clams the mussels are FANTASTIC and I thoroughly enjoyed the tuna. Flavorful and perfectly prepared.
The food is good but pricey. Server was ok. We ordered oysters and the person who brought it out wanted to put it on the stance like everyone but he just told her to put it on the table. Is it because I am a minority compared to those around me? Hmm. Order lobster roll- it didn’t come because he forgot, we told him we didn’t want it. He brought it anyway. There was one lobster roll- 48 dollars. Really? So good is good but is it that good? Uni- oyster- not every piece have uni- a slight stain of yellow does not make it uni oyster. Inconsistent between pieces. Loud, so will I go back- probably not.
Oysters were well priced and clam chowder was as dense as it should have been.
Will not be back. Food was just ok and over priced. $75 for a fillet of sole was a little high for what I got. Nothing to tell friends about. Was dissatisfied, expecting better food when they charge so much for it. The ceviche was good but chef went overboard with the lime. Oysters were good but tuna steak lacked appeal. Service was good.
Don’t want the restaurant to contact me. They have only opened in July so I wish them luck.

Disappointed that the lobster was rather chewy so I didn’t enjoy it like I thought I would
Took my husband for a birthday dinner. Many choices of appetizers and entrees. Had the smoked bluefish pate , Caesar salad and bluefin tuna. All excellent and beautifully prepared and presented. Wine was delicious. Vanilla creme brûlée for dessert came on a plate with a candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate. They treated us to the dessert. Waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again!

Food was great. Service was very slow. Waited a long time to get check and to get card back. Server was nowhere to be found. Another server had to come and help us.
Food was amazing--oysters, fried artichokes, salmon, monkfish, and burger--drinks were a touch uneven, but the food made up for that!
Food and atmosphere was great. Service was great, except felt very rushed from the time we sat down until we received the check. It was a Tuesday night and not busy, so not sure what the constant rush was. All 3 guests felt the same.
We went here for a nice, upscale dinner during our honeymoon. Everything was fanatic! The vibe was so cool and the service was attentive and down to earth.
We would highly recommend!
Delicious fresh fish and a nice number of interesting choices. The fresh oyster selection was the most extensive list we have encountered around Boston to date. Service was excellent and the ambience delightful.
Excellent fresh fish, with creative presentations and fabulous preparation. My wife and I are light eaters. We ordered the black bass whole fish special for two, a bowl of New England clam chowder and a side of sourdough (baked in house) and we were "stuffed". Service was first class.

One of the best restaurants in Boston. A lot of places went down the hill after 2020 and never recovered. In Banks being a new place the food and service is of a great pre-2020 quality. Joseph did a great job for our big company, service was fast, welcoming and flawless. Rare these days unfortunately.

Ridiculously expensive. When ordering a fish dish that is listed as Market Price, customers should be informed that the price is $68. There were also several bones found in said $68 dish.

I was excited to read about the restaurant in Eater, but I was underwhelmed by our experience. The service was on the slow side. For the prices, I was surprised to see dinner brought out on a large tray, and the server was flustered by which entree belonged to which diner. My husband had the fish and chips which were soggy and lacking crunch. I had the baked halibut which had nice flavor, although one of the mussels hadn’t opened. Our friends had the lobster bake and the ribeye - both seemed to enjoy their entrees.

Took 20 minutes for oysters to come out! At a fish house, no less. This is not standard in the city. Of course they were excellent. The Faroe Island salmon was delicious, medium rare, but the sauce was so salty as to be nearly inedible. And the pork belly in the sauce was as hard as beef jerky. We want The Banks to succeed but they’ve got some work to do.

Excellent experience at this newish venue. The restaurant is light and airy and the food was delicious! The fish dishes were superb and creative. The service was attentive. We will be back.

Was looking for celebration destination. The reviews of Banks were very good so we gave it a go. The service and ambiance were great. Perfect. The food, on the other hand, was below expectation especially give the price point. The 4.50/each shrimp were stringy and tough. The Caesar salad was over dressed and soggy. We sent the fish tacos back as they were super greasy. My Swordfish was delicious but for $42 I would have expected more than a four bite piece. We wanted to LOVE this place but we’re disappointed.

Started with the caviar tasting which was outstanding and ended with the mussels. Everything was delicious and the bartender was extremely pleasant.
They have done an amazing job reimagining the old Post. Some modest but nice improved decor but what is special was the menu and the quality of the food. Very large portions so share if you want to try more of the menu. Will be back soon.

Best service ever! Wife’s halibut came back and wasn’t up to par and the manager, not the server, came back and retrieved her meal to send it back and even sent mine back, that was perfectly made, to ensure that we could eat together. Changed our silverware consistently, ensured we had full glasses of sparkling water at all times, there are no complaints at all about this place.
