   Lovely meal, all well flavoured. Bit of a limited menu but I guess that's how you get quality. Staff very attentive. Excellent cocktails.

   We enjoyed our meal … I did want a different dish to the chicken but I felt it a little expensive. One in our party had the beetroot risotto and it was a little tasteless and there wasn’t enough of it The waitresses were lovely

   Food very good with imaginative cooking and changing menu. Staff need to up their game especially as at 6.30 not that busy: indifferent slow service though did improve towards end even though restaurant busier???

   The food was outstanding, everything on the menu had an interesting, delicious twist. Great wine list, lovely attentive staff, the decor and atmosphere was cool, cosy and relaxed. A lovely evening all round, we will definitely be back 😋

    Lovely restaurant exceeded our expectations was recommended to us but had already decided to give it a try everyone enjoyed staff where really helpful in particular a young man who was our waiter will definitely revisit this restaurant when we are next in Dumfries and have no problem recommending food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Thank you

    Absolutely lovely food and enjoyed the wine too. Service was a bit inattentive at times; we had to ask a couple of times for the wine list but would definitely go back.

    Amazing service. The meals were served very sharply, waiting staff were attentive and helpful, mocktails were excellent. The food is brilliant quality as well and something a bit different for the town. Will be back again!

    Dinner here was unreal! The best Christmas dinner I have ever had out & so lovely with special treats & extras added! The staff were beyond accommodating with us changing times & went above & beyond to fit us in! So impressed & can’t wait to go back - best meal out in a long time - couldn’t recommend it enough, great value for money!

    The menu has changed since our last visit in the summer of '22. It is attempting to move to a more 'haute cuisine', and I think there are some bumps along the way that we experienced. I found my fish was perfectly cooked, but the sauces quite bland. My partner's meal was more flavourful but the ratio of ingredients was off (far too much cranberry sauce and root vegetables in relation to the lentil loaf). However, we quite liked the wild mushroom starter. they also have a good wine selection by the glass. We discussed it afterwards and gave a rating of 7.8 overall. So a solid review, better than many places in Dumfries, and I can see how with further time they will further strengthen their offerings.

    Went on a Wednesday which is steak night and was excellent value for money. Everything was perfectly cooked and the mac and cheese was superb. My sister went for the Turkey Christmas dinner which was a large plateful of very tasty well cooked food. The end of the meal featured a pear and vermouth trifle which was a triumph!

    Overall very nice experience and the food was great! Suggestion of a different dessert wine E.g Tokaji or Sauterne as the only listed dessert wine was a little disappointing, but otherwise everything else was very enjoyable.

    We were a table of 4 people, nice staff nice ambiance. Food was delicious, starters came before we got our first drinks. Main course delicious, ordered another drink which took a while to arrive, also got asked a couple of times if we would like to order another drink but we already had. Desserts delicious. Staff were lovely BUT maybe just a bit more organisation on the drinks ordering/receiving. We were there for two and a half hours and only had two drinks which is quite rare for us when we go out.

    Went for the Wednesday Steak night and it was really good! Steak was beautifully cooked and the sides were delicious. Chose the red wine and it was very easy to drink! Overall, very good experience and will definitely return (may try regular menu as it looked really good as well!!)

    Our third visit to this restaurant. Was looking forward to having a particular Mocktail but unfortunately it had been removed from the list.... My mum had a pork Belly Raman, although she said it was very tasty but the amount of meat was very disappointing. There were 2 chunks on top of the dish, however the remaining bits of meat were so small she had to try to find them and quantity was disappointing. I had the Chicken Kiev which was lovely and a good portion. We did mention this to the staff. Not sure we will be returning anytime soon as didn't feel value for money for that particular dish. Thats a Shame as we like the restaurant and the staff are lovely.
