The Avenue - Dublin
An all-occasion steak tavern that glows with sizzle and warmth. Serving fine steaks and tavern fare to family and friends in Historic Old Dublin. Serving Dinner Nightly.
Food was amazing as was Chris. He always takes great care of us!
Sliders are the best! The steak is amazing. Still searching for my go-to side dish.
Not a fault of The Avenue but I specifically requested an indoor table since this was a special occasion and we dud not want to be on the casual outdoor patio. Somehow it was wrong and we had no choice but an outdoor table. It was very loud with a large party of adults and children seated next to us. It was not at all the relaxed dining experience we anticipated. Quite disappointing! That being said, our service and food were both very good. I will be sure to check and double check my reservations the next time.
The Avenue is one of our favorite restaurants. As always they did not fail us! Food was great, the timing of all the courses spot on, noise levels... not to high, we could hold a conversation and not have to yell and Stephen our waiter did a fantastic job! Well done Avenue for another perfect family celebration!
Birthday. I received a dessert last time not this time. Oh well. Next year!
Wonderful!!! My first experience at the Avenue when they first opened was not a favorable one, but my last two visits were just wonderful! Food and service was exceptional! Now it is one of my favorite places to eat!
Great food, slightly pricy, very loud. If you want an energetic crowd, this is the place for you!!
Great meal! Great service!
Steven and the rest of the staff are excellent and food was wonderful!
Every time we go to The Avenue in Dublin, the restaurant’s position as our favorite Central Ohio restaurant is reaffirmed. The food is expertly prepared by Chef Jeff Lindemeyer and his staff, the service is wonderful, and the whole place runs smoothly under the leadership of General Manager, Kristen Luff. Our associate this time was the always excellent, Janine D. Keep up the good work, we’ll see you again soon!
Tonight was our anniversary. Our reservation was for 8:00 and we weren't Sat until close to 8:40. I gad gone to the bar to get drinks while we waited and had to have someone at the bar flag a bar tender she knew to get service.
We order a charcuterie board however it was underwhelming for $16.00 and none of the items paired well. Well our waiter knew it was our anniversary and said the dessert was on them, he never checked back often enough to even offer that dessert before we left. We waited almost an hour for our table and a full hour for our food.
I would have thought the manager would have come out to our table but that never happened either. We'll never go back. Disappointing for spending $170 for two people and it not feeling like a special night.
We showed up 20 minutes early for our reservation, and were not seated until 30 minutes after that time. The food was great and our server did a great job.
Awesome food, great wine selection and our server, Kassandra was amazing. She got everything just right. Definitely plan on making this my go to place when I’m the Columbus/Dublin area
We went for a birthday dinner. The note was on the reservation and told to the front and waiter. Nothing was done or said about it until I asked when leaving.
We had a very nice time. The food was exactly what I would expect of a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. The food was very good, the atmosphere was nice, and we had a good time. We would go back.
Wait staff was excellent, as was food....but the table placement is poor. Basically had to literally move the person sitting at next table to be able to even get to the seat, and then bumped elbows with them. The closeness made it very difficult to carry on a conversation. For the price of the food, our table should have been afforded more room.
First time here, excellent steak and wonderful atmosphere. Oysters were also fresh and delightful. Service was very respectful and did not make us feel rushed.
This was our first time to The Avenue and we weren't disappointed...the entire experience was positive. Service was great, food was excellent, atmosphere was alive. Had a great evening and will be back...often!
The food, esp the steaks, were average. The meal was rushed - we were 1/2 way thru our salads when the entree arrived. The steaks didn't have much flavor and I felt that the ball of butter on my steak was more of a coverup than an addition. It is very noisy inside and the tables are crammed together.
I've been twice and I won't be going back.
Fabulous as usual.
The steaks and sides were great. It was quiet and comfortable with great service and we weren't hurried. Lovely evening!
My guests had steaks and were very pleased. The scallops were small and unimpressive.
What an incredible dining experience, from start to finish! It was our 25th wedding anniversary & our server made us feel extra special! Even suggesting champagne to start & offered a complimentary dessert! We never felt rushed in any way & loved the smart, trendy atmosphere w/o being too upscale. Our steaks were cooked to PERFECTION as well. We will be frequent customers of the Dublin location!
Mary, our server was wonderful! We also enjoyed a Birthday treat.
The location and the ambiance are excellent, however, The Avenue really needs to do a better job on the service. We really enjoy the bar and the happy hour but the quality of the food in the restaurant and the value really needs to be improved to keep up the the Cameron Mitchell standards we have come to expect.
Food is great, service is average.
We were sat late, but it was a very nice experience!
Food was fantastic as usual, but service was extremely slow and server was not on par with previous visits and what you should expect at this price point.
Overall it was great and we left happy. The food is delicious and the servers are very professional.
Everything was amazing!
My wife and I eat out three to four days a week and this was our third trip to this location. We have been to the Grandview location about the same number of times. Like all CM restaurants, the place is well designed and the staff looks great. We had made a reservation on the patio and we know from experience that sometimes it takes a little longer to get a table. On this night it was about 15 minutes until our table became available, which was fine with us. The rub came when it took around 20 minutes to bus the table and get it ready. We commented to the hostess a couple of times, she was cordial, but not very responsive. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was decent and priced well. I do not get steak at The Avenue because I think the steaks are sub par when compared to Hyde Park, Jeff Ruby, The Top and J. Gilberts. I decided to try the Beef Stroganoff and even became more interested when I heard it was made with Beef Short Rib. My wife ordered Chicken which was good, one of the others in our party ordered the Stroganoff and the fourth person had the veal, which he said was average. The Stroganoff was average as well, it tasted okay and it was difficult to find much beef and it was shredded into very tiny pieces. It was average. Our server, Rachel was good not great but very nice. I will not rush back, but I am certain someone with whom we dine will want to go. The Avenue is not at the top of our list. Lastly, while I can not prove this and no fault of the restaurant but I am 90% sure the valet burned the rear right wheel on my car. I am extremely careful and the last time I looked a couple of days ago all four wheels were perfect.
Great dinner for our anniversary. Yasmeen was a fantastic server and fun to converse with
Excellent experience! Great service, very attentive, friendly, and not rushed. Food was amazing. Pricy, yes, but that was expected before we arrived so it wasn't hard to deal with. Steaks were cooked perfect and had great flavor. Very cool ambiance. Fun music playing at the right level over the speakers. Loved it. Definitely will return for a date night some time.
We were celebrating a birthday and had the pleasure of having Drew as our server for a second time. We love the quaint feel of this location & the ability to have conversations over dinner without a noise level problem. A true favorite!
Rebecca our waitress - The Best
Our experience was underwhelming. I ordered a filet mignon, which was cooked properly but bland. My wife had branzino, which was equally mediocre. The creamed spinach was good, however, and was used by both of us to add flavor to our entrees.
I would but bring your ear plugs.
It’s like all the Cameron Restaurants except the one on 161
terribly noisy. Don’t plan on talking
or being able to hear conversation.
It’s too bad . We would frequent these restaurants more often.
Back to school for the kids
Very average for a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant. Our server was great and it’s always a nice touch when celebrating a special occasion to get that complimentary dessert. Sides are very common. Little seasoning and plain. Bland mashed potatoes, 6 small asparagus with butter, and the side salads are truly sides that could fit inside a coffee cup. Lamb and the Filets were cooked to the liking. Drinks often took awhile to show up as it looked a little disjointed with the server doin food and relying on someone else for bar. One of the other things we were really surprised about is that 5 tables sat there unbussed for nearly 30 minutes while we were dining. Obviously didn’t affect our meal but just a side observation that we wouldn’t typically expect from this type of restaurant. Atmosphere was nice with the retro feel. All in all a decent restaurant but just not what we expected from a Cameron Mitchell place and therefore probably not worth the $$$ to go back to this location.
Abe was incredible. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and took care of us as fellow CMR Assosicates. We will be back absolutely!
