The Avenue is growing in renown and reputation as a casual restaurant with an upscale cuisine. Focusing on locally sourced foods, there are a wide variety of appetizers, small plates, and entrees. A full bar provides beautifully rendered cocktails, craft beer and quality wines. On Sundays, the focus is on brunch with a special menu that holds something for everyone. We were expecting more, better quality. It wasn't horrible by any means but the hype didn't materialize. One and done.

My spouse really liked the clam dish. I had the rib eye and baked potato. I thought the steak was too lean meaning a ribeye should be marbled and this was dry and a bit tough. My baked potato was under cooked so not steamy and fluffy- more like cold and a bit chunky.

Not what I expected at all. Food was better than a lot of places in Hot Springs, but the service was poor. Wine list was good, but the environment was like trying to serve fine dining in an old ice cream parlor. Not even tablecloths on their cheap tables and uncomfortable chairs. Really poorly put together restaurant from an aesthetics perspective besides the racing theme on one wall. Really poor service. Good food. Fries on the main were cold but otherwise the two salads were good and the main was good otherwise.

Can’t say it was good. It was marginal at best. The chorizo tots were the smallest appetizer I have seen and not tasty. The burger was pretty, but so not good, the meat had no flavor. My friend ordered the pork chop and said it was tough. Can not recommend!
