Step inside and perhaps it's hard at first to reconcile age with the comfortably plush 21st century home to the finest cuisine and wines

It is soon obvious though that the Inn has undergone a complete modernisation makeover tastefully achieved without compromising the many original features that are key to the building that last underwent major change as far back as 1804.

Rab, as he is known, has built up a considerable reputation for running restaurants where quality, taste, originality, variety and value for money are a trademark.

    Lovely food, the fillet steak was excellent,staff outstanding and the room was so nice with a private bathroom, definitely be back

    Fantastic food served in an impressive pub. The staff were delightful. Well worth the money. We eat in the pub side which was nice but book a table in the lovely restaurant.

    What to say ...food was great , staff are just fab ..nothing is a problem and the environment is lovely . Always a treat to visit this restraunt .

    We thorough enjoyed our meal. Food was delicious, service excellent and the log fire so cosy and warm on the coldest of nights

    Welcoming hostess friendly and attentive throughout our visit.The food was great. The haggis scotch egg starter, perfect runny yolk, was lovely as was the garlic aioli. The main course was mega. I had rare cooked roast beef, large Yorkshire pud, roast tatties, honeyed roasted parsnips and carrots, tenderstem broccoli, cauliflower cheese, served with a full flavoured rich, deep gravy. All was very tasty and cooked perfectly. We were offered the pudding menu. It was declined as my party was all stuffed full. A great dining experience.
