   Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. The atmosphere is depressing. The pub is in need of serious renovation. However, the food we ordered was good (crispy chicken sandwiches). Service was slow considering we were the only customers there. Website advertised a Thanksgiving turkey dinner which they did not have. Won’t be back unless renovations are done!

   The service was great but our meals, even with a small menu for valentines day, were terrible, we will not go back.

   This is was our first time at the Augusta House. It took a bit of time to be greeted at the door. (The girls behind the bar were not paying attention as we stood waiting.) It also took a bit of time for us to be served our drinks, which was two drafts - we noticed the waitress spending time on her cell phone, which made us wonder if she was actually on her phone or putting in orders through that method. Regardless it doesn't look professional especially when we felt it too much too long to serve up two drafts. We were soon after served by Tim (I think), who was awesome! He was far more attentive. The food was outstanding and the experience was overall very good. We will come back.

   We go to the Augusta House almost every Monday night for the entertainment and to meet friends. Always an enjoyable experience.

   Charming old home is a Gastro Pub in downtown Hamilton. Three of us agreed - GREAT spot for surprisingly good food, casual and friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Kudos to the owners for value and quality in a fun package!

   We go out for fish & chips once a week. It was the best fish & chips we have had to date. Service was very good, the atmoshere left a lot to be desired.

   Augusta House is a downtown Hamilton "Gastropub". We arrived around 6:30PM on a Wednesday and stayed for a little over an hour. During that time there were diners on the front patio but we were pretty well alone inside. We ordered the Tempura Vegetables as an appetizer to share. The portion was quite large and the tempura was light and crispy. My husband chose the Montreal smoked meat sandwich which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Beer Battered Halibut which I also enjoyed. I even enjoyed the big chunky fries that came with this dish. My husband enjoyed his Guinness Stout Ale and I my glass of Pinot Grigio. We'll go back to Augusta House again sometime soon.
