The Attic, an iconic Long Beach staple, was established in 2012 by owner Steve Massis. Situated within an eclectic 1920's craftsman style home. Dining in, is reminiscent of enjoying Sunday supper with family and friends.
Inspired by a desire to evolve and further elevate the existing concept, the Attic underwent some exciting changes in the last year. With the guidance and imagination of local designer, Tara Rigi, the interior and exterior were restored to accentuate the craftsman's iconic beauty.

The most significant change came in the form of our new chef, Cameron Slaugh, who joined our team near the beginning of 2020. As a newcomer to Long Beach, he finds inspiration from local, seasonal ingredients, and draws on his early beginnings of growing up on a farm. All of which he uses to constantly reimagine our menu, marrying New American cuisine with southern traditions.

We sat at the bar and ordered gumbo and a wedge salad - both were delicious, especially the gumbo which had a great roux and beautiful shrimp. The wedge salad had homemade blue cheese dressing - yes. The bartender was very nice and attentive. All around great time and great food.

Our server was so kind and very helpful. I really appreciate it since I brought a person that was elderly. He helped her a lot. The only issue we had is we ordered the gumbo and it came out kind of lukewarm. It wasn’t hot. I prefer my gumbo really on the hot side Then on the lukewarm side, but other than that, everything was fabulous.

What a great spot! This was my first visit to The Attic, but it won't be my last. The food was delicious, along with tasty drinks. If that weren't enough, the service was delightful. Nathaniel is a 'standout' bartender, professional, friendly and attentive.

Lovely atmosphere - outdoor dining yet sheltered from wind, sun and rain. Unique menu with portions big enough for sharing. Service was attentive, yet not suffocating. Food comes out as it's ready from the kitchen, so discuss pacing with your server. Would definitely dine here again.

The food is a 10/10! The restaurant was fairly empty so they only had patio/bar seating for dinner (not as ideal), however the bartender was excellent and, again, the food was phenomenal. Worth visit and apparently the brunch is epic as well!
