Inspired by the Gilded Ages, The Astor Bar on Level 2 of the Hotel, is a bar and lounge combining modern-day glamour with old-world elegance, much like the city that it resides in, Kuala Lumpur.
The brass-trimmed panelled entrance with its custom-made hammered-brass door knobs, reveal an inviting bar area set against dark wooden shutters, brass accents, rich leathers, horse-hair wall panels, luxurious black-and gold marble, and gold leaf ceilings. Set away from The Astor Bar's main entrance, is a discreet entrance to a private room, offering the ultimate experience for those seeking seclusion.
The Astor Bar's Cigar Lounge is equipped with a special air filtration system and private storage lockers for personal prized cigar collections. My fiance and I had a good time at Astor Bar. The ambience was so amazing. The service was good as well. They served us well with full of politeness and very respectful. What I was disappointed with is, food. Half of the menu was not available when we are ordering. Most favourite selections was unavailable and that made us feel bad. Then we ordered Astor Signature Burger and the taste was quite bad and was very oily. That was the saddest part of the night. The champagne that we had was a good one. We enjoyed. The complimentary dessert was a bomb. Raspberry cheesecake if I am not mistaken. The cake was so so good in taste and a mouthwatering dessert. Overall, we enjoyed that date night.
