   Found the food design and cocept good but the value to price ratio somewhat off. The starter cold and the fish dried. This place may work but mainly due to a very nice setting and in truth lack of competition.

   Absolutely fantastic meal and 1st class service at the Art School restaurant on 29th Oct. Opted for tasting menus (normal & pescatarian). Foods and flavours exquisitely put together – sommelier was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, Richard our waiter couldn’t have been better. If you want to splurge, you’ll struggle to find better food or experience in Liverpool.

   This was my second visit to the Artschool. I was there with my wife, son, and daughter-in-law. Lunch from the prix fixe menu was excellent. The fish (trout as a starter, hake as the main) was perfectly cooked and stylishly presented. My daughter-in-law's request to substitute a vegan starter into the normal menu was met with "certainly madam" by the ever-attentive waitress. All dishes were of top quality standard, as were the three wines we sampled. The dessert platter is a brilliant alternative to sticky toffee pudding etc. This really is a top class restaurant at a very reasonable price. Our next visit is already booked.

   Little disappointed that on entering the restaurant our"guide" to our table merely kept the door open for himself and not for my husband and I. Our Sommelier was rather remiss on replenishing our wine as she leant across the table to do so. The food and waiter service were excellent, although the above criticism may seem a little picky to some for us it is part of the overall experience but would not deter us from revisiting.

   We had another wonderful meal at the Art School Restaurant for a family occasion last Thursday. The seasonal menu was outstanding and the options on the Menu Excellence were all tempting and really beautifully conceived. The service is outstanding and the recommendations on the wine were excellent. The portions for each course are also just right and you don't get that full feeling after a long meal. Excellent, friendly staff, particularly the young woman who recommend the wine and a great atmosphere in the dining room. We love the Art School for a special treat and would recommend it to anyone. Best restaurant in Liverpool by a mile!

   Simply the best mea I have ever had. It is expensive, but the food is an event. We were there for 3.5 hours and tasted food like never before. The service is incredible, all combining to provide the ultimate experience. Only critique is the cost, but I would glady pay it again.

    We went here on Saturday night based upon people I know who have been along with TripAdvisor reviews and ranking within Liverpool. Firstly it isn't cheap, for the two of us with a reasonable bottle of wine it was just over £200.00, but worth every penny. We had two choices of menu the tasting or excellence. The food is amazing from the log burning reception area with canopies with a glass of champagne, through to the starters, mains and desert. I particularly liked my wife's choice of turbot and caviar, I think the best fish dish I have ever tasted and the personally for me the baked Alaska desert. We were just wowed away with the place, we will definitely be returning but rather than make it a weekly/monthly booking I think it's best savoured for a special occasion where you need to impress. Amazing.
