   Went for dinner and opted to choose from the menu rather than the two fixed price options. The restaurant was extremely busy (full) and the only detraction of this was the ambient noise of people talking was quite loud, and made listening to the waitress difficult at times, but not the whole time. The food was first rate, and one of the best places I have eaten at certainly around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The presentation was excellent, and the different taste combinations were unique, interesting but all very good. Everything was cooked as you would expect in a place like this and very tasty. One of the good things about our dinner was the timing of when they bought out are share plates, each one followed on, and we didn't have plates of food sitting there going cold while we got through the previous plate, it was refreshing and pleasing to experience so kudos to the chefs and wait staff. Its a low light setting, so if you wear glasses, take them for the menus, but this is not a detraction, just point to note. the Ambience is quite good with that setting if you were on a date, or a special occaision. I would definitely go back to here. Its pricey for some things but the quality is worth the expense. Dishes to have the Kingfish Crudo, Mushroom Skewers, Lamb Backstrap and the Chocolate pudding were all fantastic.

   We had the set feasting menu , which never disappoints, it was delicious. The only negative was the 45 min wait between main meal to dessert, which was too long.

   Repeated offender of arson . Once you have been afflicted it is only the dining experience that may assist with these symptoms. Impeccable service.

   Definitely won’t be going back. Very disappointing. The food was lacklustre, the place is loud and the bathrooms are not fit for purpose. The whole draw card of the place is the kitchen and the fires and most of the tables (all, unless you sit single file at the bar) are not facing/focused on the kitchen. Don’t expect wedges and salad to be served at supposed fine dining. Service less than fitting for the purported level of the restaurant.

    We have been to The Arsonist four times now over the last year and each time it is outstanding. The service is of high quality, always friendly and efficient and customized to your individual needs. Our daughter is GF and Lactose intolerant, and the menu was adapted with ease to her individual needs - very much appreciated. The quality of food is unbelievable, and delivery is excellent. Atmosphere is excellent, however one thing which creates the atmosphere, and the feel of the whole place let our experience down. Unfortunately, it was very warm in the corner where we sat and the smoking from the stove made our eyes sting. You don't want to lose that, incredible smell and atmosphere so I am not sure how you get around that but wanted to provide you that feedback. Many thanks for an amazing night once again. We will be back but may request a different table.
