The Arlington never disappoints. Delicious food in a lively atmosphere. Solid wine list and attentive waitstaff.
I am a retired chef , disappointed the crab cakes had very little lump crabmeat. The fennel slaw that came with it had carrots, which wasn’t the issue , they looked like they were the peeling from a carrot ! At the prices they charge and I’m not complaining about price , but presentation should be better. ... using a mandeline would have been more professional and easier to eat . I had scallops and they were cooked perfectly, but a little more of the grain risotto would have been nice. The bacon jam that was the garnish was on the money ! Frito. Musto appetizer was very good . But I left there hungry ! ...
Went for Easter usually the food is very good. This did not meet our expectations at all
We went for Easter brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. The cost was $28pp and it was not worth it. There was barely a selection of lunch items except for salad and carved turkey. The breakfast food was acceptable but nothing special. The dessert was just some different filled croissants and chocolate chip cookies. I was disappointed.
Very dissatisfied; all 4 of our meals were barely room temperature or even cold. Swordfish and crab cakes were over cooked. Cold risotto with scallops.
If we hadn’t waited so long for the meals, we would have sent them all back. On top of all this; inattentive service. All this for 150.00...Won’t be back anytime soon.
Everyone was very friendly. With the exception of our server not attending to us in a timely manner and/or offering refills, etc., our experience was great.
we have enjoyed the Arlington in the past but this was not our favorite visit. we were treated very well and the service was excellent. our meals were not as good as other visits but we still would recommend it and we will return.
Our 2nd meal here - once for lunch and this time for dinner. The lunch menu is definitely more expansive and better. We felt the dinner was a bit over priced and wasn’t as good as the lunch. That said, the staff is very accommodating and the service is very good. Will go back during the season for lunch and I would recommend a wider dinner selection.
We fell in to the Arlington only for find it was the old Bayberry Inn which has obviously been redone. We showed up during Happy Hour hours and were able to enjoy discounted oysters which were very good. We ended up eating a lot of appetizers and had the crab cakes and a hamburger. The hamburger was quite good as were the french fries. We were steered by our waitress who was very helpful. The oysters were very fresh and very inexpensive. If you want raw seafood at Happy Hour times this is the place. We will certainly go back. It is not an extensive dinner menu, more a bar food menu. The mac and cheese was interesting as well. We did not leave hungry, or poor.
Food was delicious, ambiance great, however overall experience felt very rushed.
good experience overall. Apps did not come out hot. Service was excellent--Aimee
The Arlington is one of the best restaurants on LBI. The menu offers many options especially for those who are gluten free. The food is just delicious! The duck entree is a standout!
Nice cozy bar, interesting menu. You have to have the bread.
This was our first time at The Arlington and we will definitely be going back. The service was wonderful, from the hostess to the waitress, everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I had the Market Salad and haven’t been able to stop craving it, followed by the equally yummy shrimp and grits. My husband had the salmon; my son had the coffee-chili rubbed steak. Both of them enjoyed their meals thoroughly. We finished with the Caramel Budino which did not disappoint. We plan to return very soon!
Food and service was ok at best. We are definitely ok with splurging on a great meal, but this seemed terribly overpriced.
This was the first time coming to this place and we will be back the food and service were outstanding
Great food and service on New Years’s Eve
Only problem is that while food was tasty everyone agreed (4 of us) that the food was too salty.
Great food and ambiance.
We enjoyed our Dinner at the Arlington. It was our first time. The food and service was good. The octopus appetizer was tremendous! We especially liked the spacious seating... Definitely going back!!
Exceptional food and beverage experience on Long Beach Island.
Love the Arlington. Food quality always the best. They will customize menu. Also the drink selection is great! Great wine choices. Love it all .... wonderful servers too.
Enjoyed our meal. Food was very good. Service was professional and friendly. Would not hesitate to go back.
Everyone enjoyed the seafood and handcrafted cocktails. Pricey but nice atmosphere and decent food.
Fresh Swordfish from Viking Village was great! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Moist. Tender. FRESH. Delicious accompaniments. I asked to substitute potatoes for purple sticky rice. They were great as were the mushrooms. Quite noisy when we arrived about 8:30 Sat PM but quieted down shortly thereafter. Would like to try their brunch.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and enjoyed our meal choices. The service was good. But the decor was sparse and uninspiring.
We visit the Arlington every time we stay on LBI in October, and they have never failed to impress. Food was wonderful, the drinks great, and the service impeccable. We ate there this past Sunday, and have already made reservation for this Wednesday. Got to get there at least twice during our visit.
Slow service, very noisy. Ordered a simple burger, which was overcooked and the French fries ice cold. We were overcharged on the bill so glad that we checked it and they did revise it.
Not a good experience
The veal chop my husband had was fabulous. I had the Lobster roll, it was good but not great like all my previous meals at The Arlington.
Excellent craft beer choices. Food was excellent, too. Pricey, but it is the shore. We'll go again, but not often due to price.
Slow Service and steak that was ordered medium and came out well-done.
Service was horrible and it wasn't even crowded. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone even approached our table.
Nice place for casual dining. Food was average. Server was very nice but service was average. Dining room was very nice, not too noisy.
Service was a bit slow but great attitude. Venue was noisy. Food was wonderful. Winelist was a bit limited. Beer list looked great.
My beer flight was not correct and got mixed up with someone else's. It'd be nice to have more options than IPA/Fruity beer. For the price I just felt like there could be more to the establishment. Pretty good service and the rib appetizer was amazing.
Had the soft shell crab appetizer for dinner-so very good and was two soft shell crabs. Others had the kale and Brussels sprouts Caesar salad which they raved about. Scallops were very good. Great craft beers!
Excellent service. Food was yummy and a good value for the quality. Plus they have bourbon on tap.... I said BOURBON ON TAP!! And its good bourbon. First time there was Sunday night; 2 brothers played music in the bar. Very talented. The bar tender and staff, professional to say the least, very attentive. Couldn't ask for a better way to end the summer of 2017. Been to the Arlington's sister, Daymark in Barnegat Light several times... these sisters aren't twins but man they are both great additions to the LBI food scene and night life. I'll be visiting both during the off season.
Good good, service, ambience.
Great meal! Loved the fried chicken skins, lamb ribs and duck breast. Wife had soup and a salad. Wine was good too. I would definitely go back there as the menu had a lot to offer.
The Arlington is always good! It was a chilly night so I had French onion soup and the appetizer portion of rigatoni - both were good. My husband had the tomato salad and crab cakes. He was very pleased. The complimentary bread is so delicious that it's hard not to fill up on bread and resist the offer from our waitress for more!
