The Arch Inn is extremely proud of our food and all of our dishes are produced on the premises using fresh, locally sourced products where possible. Being situated on the coast, we are lucky enough to be able to offer, when available, local scallops, langoustines, lobster and oysters alongside our ever popular Cullen Skink and Cider Battered Haddock and Skin On Fries.

The restaurant is open from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesdays and 11am to 9pm Thursday to Monday. The bar is open seven days a week.

The Arch bar has a veritable array of thirst quenchers including beers from two Highland breweries; Cromarty and Cairngorm; and gins from our doorstep distillery, Highland Liquor Company, including their award winning Seven Crofts.

The Arch Inn was listed as one of the 500 top food experiences in the world in The Lonely Planet Ultimate Eatlist and featured in the latest edition of the prestigious guidebook Scotland The Best.

When we arrived there was a note that the kitchen was closed. The barman apologised for not letting us know, so it was rather disappointing!

Restaurant accepted and confirmed reservation but was closed on arrival. Very poor attitude and no response from management. Don't bother going here.

A bit of a disappointment as the dining area is a stark, almost windowless room. The pub attached looked cozy and fun though no seats to be had. Food was good as was service. I’d give it another go easily for a pub seat.

Fabulous meal at the Arches on Friday 5th August. We were tempted by the starters but were glad we refrained as the main meals so so filling. I had a huge plate of mussels done in a very delicate white wine sauce accompanied by two different types of delicious bread and my husband a very generous portion of fish and chips. He said the fish was one of the best he had tasted. Would definitely go and and would also recommend….think it is essential though to book especially at peak periods and weekends.

My only criticisms: * Too much ponzu butter with the salmon * Rather expensive But overall very good quality food cooked beautifully, excellent service and a good atmosphere

Very good food — we have eaten here once a year for about 5 of the last 9 years on visits to Ullapool. Have enjoyed an interesting variety, always well-prepared. I hope as covid wanes they bring back the pool table — my daughters and I have had many intense games while waiting for our meal.
