Delicious food and excellent customer service
Celebrated an anniversary dinner with family. Had impeccable dinner and service . Will return.
Tables are spaced nightly. There is a die hard crew at the bar - not so sure this is a good idea right now.
This has become our go-to place for birthdays, anniversaries and just yummy dinners. Great ambience, both inside and out. Always friendly and helpful service.
Great restaurant, safe and clean environment which creates a relaxed experience the staff are friendly, and the food is great!
The Arbour is one of my favorite restaurants. I’ve been a fan of Chef Ian for many years and have never been disappointed with anything he’s prepared.
His staff is a like a well-oiled machine, we’ll trained and friendly.
Jose was an excellent server! Fantastic food!
After all it was OK experience. Service average, food is not memorable either. We tried but we don’t think we will be back.
Amazing service all around! Would highly recommend!
This is the place to get a great martini. The mixologist makes great cocktails. The menu is somewhat limited but has delicious choices. The service is friendly and efficient.
Ambiance and service were fantastic. The food and drink were great, too. Intimate space in a booth, separated from other diners. Great restaurant! Free parking behind is nice too.
drinks were not the best and the food salty :( but the staff was nice and the table was great. They acknowledged our anniversary, which was nice.
The need to keep the front door wide open when the temperature is in the mid 40’s impacted the dinner. Also the food - specifically the burger- was very salty.
The shaved Brussels sprout salad and duo duck dish was excellent. The fresh bread was also excellent. The server José) was both helpful and gracious.
feels like food is not as good
all very ordinary
Food was good if not a little pricy. Our table wasn’t great as was next to service counter
Reliable restaurant in a South Lake Ave, Pasadena location. Good food and knowledgeable wait staff. Kitchen gets overwhelmed when the restaurant is full, which it was as we approach the holiday and so the food took a long time to arrive at the table. But this was a minor complaint.
Atmosphere is good, services is good, food quality is a bit lacking....
So we ordered these:
Oyster - fresh... I mean, as long as it is fresh it can't go very wrong...
Apple salad - the arugula is VERY salty, the waitress is nice enough to take it off from my bill, but it's kind of odd she asked Do I want to take it off from the bill...
Seared Ahi - very normal, not an item I'll order again... The whole dish just don't look right...
Duo of duck - maybe I have high expectations on this and it turns out a bit disappointed...
Seabass - taste ok.. it served with some sour vegetables which make the fish taste a bit stand out
The bread served warm, but the skin is a bit hard
So overall it is good for some "group gathering which food isn't a priority" type restaurant, not much for a memorable fine dining type..
The chef was outstanding and really made our day by making our plain birthday cake into a delicious presentation in both taste and presentation.
Always a great meal! Beet salad, roasted butternut squash soup, oysters, duck, and chicken in garlic sauce…. All amazing dishes. Please give the chef our highest praises… such delicious food! Thank you.
The food was fantastic & the service was terrific !! Our only issue was that we were seated inside & the front door was left open all night on a chilly Dec night. The host would not close the front door so we moved our table yet the draft remained so be sure to dress warmly.
The food was tasty, the wait staff was attentive but not intrusive, the overall dining experience was enjoyable.
Highly recommend the baby artichoke risotto, it was delicious. The shrimp penne was ok, I wish it had more capers. The seared tuna was just ok as well. The service and ambiance were great.
Absolutely delicious and our server was wonderful, Thomas made the experience even better for our birthday celebration!
Great service I love it
Fantastic food atmosphere and service
The food was delicious and the server was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Service was excellent, food was very good, good place a quiet dinner.
An amazing restaurant! Loved every bite of food and the staff was incredible. A must-visit Pasadena restaurant.
Wonderful service and excellent food.
We enjoy returning to this neighborhood gem !
The Arbour is the perfect restaurant: absolutely delicious food; perfect lighting with tables just far enough apart to be safe during a pandemic; a slight murmur of voices to make it festive but you can still talk in a normal voice; great service and really friendly waiters.
Always awesome. Wonderful seasonal food and excellent service.
Excellent service. Lovely ambiance. The oysters, steak, and pasta were particularly good.
This is our second time at The Arbour, but it will not be our last. The food was excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful and the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Wonderful! My wife & I started with oysters on half shell, and drinks. My children were offered pasta dishes of their choosing. The oysters were delicious and the drinks (4) first rate. My tuna and polenta with asparagus entree was excellent and sized right and the house pinot noir was nice. My wife ordered a pasta dish with shrimp, I did not sample it. During the meal we had a pleasant visit with the chef (Ian) who entertained us as though we were family. I choose apple strudel for desert and it was wonderful, my wife had a pumpkin pie slice which she enjoyed. . The room is comfortable and warm with ample spacing between tables. In terms of value we left after spending about $240 including a 20% tip. Highly recommended!
The ambience, the service, and the high quality of the food is exemplary. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Delicious food and great service
Great ambiance, food, and service. Computers were down for billing so our waitress brought us a free dessert and coffee.
The Arbour is a delightful gem right in the heart of Pasadena. The decor is bright and classy, but with a casual, friendly vibe. The food tonight was delicious, as usual. Chef Ian Gresik carefully sources the highest quality product then prepares it in a tasty and visually appealing way. The raw seafood medley was artfully presented and consisted of a generous portion of Maine lobster, shrimp, oysters and mussels. The pasta course, all housemade, was a rich umami delight with white truffles. That and the delicious bread and butter could have made a meal in itself! The main course of short rib was tender, served with a gorgeous pan juice, accompanied by seasonal vegetables. The pecan pie with a quenelle of whip cream was the perfect way to end a delightful meal. Service was friendly and knowledgable. You can tell the staff take a great deal of pride in their work. The wine list is focused, but diverse. The selections really complimented the cuisine. It's always a pleasure to dine at The Arbour and I look forward to returning as soon as possible.
