From the moment we walked in the Arbor we were welcomed graciously. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. The three of us indulged in salmon, the dover scallops, the mushroom risotto and the corn chowder. Comments from the salmon melts in your mouth to this is the best corn chowder I have eaten were made. also understand that the martini was potent. Definitely our go to place.
Went for my son’s birthday. Except for the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, the rest of the appetizers were not great. Even the olive lovers in our party of 4 said that the olives in the tomato salad were too sharp. The chili was just ordinary. I thought the beef was ground too fine. However, the 4 entrees, risotto, bucatini, short ribs & duck were very good. I’d go again for the food. There was no acknowledgement of my son’s birthday. Not even the server gave him well wishes.
Really love their branzino, duck, and tagliatelle. Don’t forget their garlic fries as well! Great ambiance and beautiful bar and open kitchen. I am making this a regular go to joint from now on.
Everything but the dessert was fantastic. Deserts were just okay, the cookies were the lowlight, mousse was better, cheesecake best, but all were ok.
The best were the seafood dishes and the salads, the brussel sprout salad especially.
Romantic setting, excellent service, excellent food. Would go back again.
Phenomenal food and outstanding service, this place is a gem located In Pasadena.I highly recommended this restaurant. Jose was such a dream and made my time here truly delightful.
The atmosphere and service was great. Upscale appropriate for any celebration - we were there for our anniversary and it was the perfect choice. Food was delicious and well prepared though a touch over salted (which is the only reason giving 4 stars instead of 5). Still it was the best duck I've had outside of Paris! Service attentive and professional. Parking a breeze. Will definitely go back.
Our party shared several appetizers including the heirloom tomato salad and the spicy beef chili with a beef fat candle! Absolutely delicious. I had the diver scallops entree and they were huge, sweet, and tender but the accompanying risotto cake was meh bland. The cocktails were fresh with delicious ingredients and top-shelf liquor. The wine menu (by the glass) could have been a bit more expansive but I found a refreshing white from Paso.
Absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding our serve gave us a warm welcome and answered all of our questions and provided us with recommendations. I will dine here again and recommend it. We ordered the beef chili, tomato salad, shrimp penne, sea bass, and chocolate mouse for dessert. All amazing.
Great service, food and craft cocktails.
Really well designed, spacious, high ceilings, cute bathrooms. Felt very cared for as we reopen after the pandemic.
Just revisited the Arbor. I forget how special this restaurant is. The chef/owner is the key to this restaurant’s success. When we took friends who had never been there before, they said it was the best dining experience they have ever had. It’s all about the flavors with the food and the meals set this restaurant apart from most.

First of all, I love using OpenTable for Reservations as they tend to make great suggestions, and The Arbour is one of them. I choose this for our Anniversary & Birthday celebration with the kids as they enjoy the finer things in life, especially food with a picky palate.
As you approach the restaurant, it's very inviting and we were greeted with a smile, thought the single table to the right of the entrance seemed out of place (where I wouldn't want to be seated). I make a habit of studying the menu before reservations to get an idea of what's avail and would order.
The candle fat chilli was the most unique and an absolute MUST TRY and didn't disappoint. Hubby loves tomato & mozzarella cheese and this was as expected, refreshing with a greek twist with the cucumbers & olives.
I went with the Special - Diver Scallops. a good portion of 5 perfectly seared scallops and crispy garlic risotto cake (rice cake), a wee bit too many peas though.
Hubby tends to order steak everywhere he goes and while on the plate was a pile of brown things, but the steak was perfectly medium rare and the brocolis added a nice crunch.
1 plain cheese, 1 plain w/o cheese and chicken alfredo that's not on the menu as they are kids friendly. Though we wished that the waitress would ask how they would like their burgers as the ones they served was well-done and my boys prefer medium to medium rare.
was very attentive even my kiddos noticed as their water glass kept on being refilled.
Overall a great 1st experience for the family.
TIP: They have a full bar so you can order anything aside from their suggested cocktails. Which i knew before I ordered.
Delicious, locally sourced food. Very nicely prepared and presented. Friendly, courteous staff. Excellent service.
It was our first time here, and we had a very good experience. The service was very attentive and everything we ate and drank was excellent. Their menu is pretty short, however, though the wine list is good, long enough. And the guy at the next table (not really very close) was basically giving a loud enthusiastic lecture to bored tablemates which was not the restaurant's responsibility, right? There are so many restaurants in Pasadena that we're attempting to try all the ones that are highly rated and this one fits. We would come back, no hesitation.
Delicious night! Our server Jose was terrific.
We’ll be back
Best service and food! Perfect for a nice date night
The ambience was terrific and our waiter was fantastic!
Everything was amazing. The hostess is so pleasant and attentive.
excellent service by our waiter !!!
It was lovely. Great space and delicious food.
Service was friendly, but a bit slow. Food was delicious and we love the way the restaurant has adjusted for the pandemic.
The food, service and atmosphere are fabulous. But, you pay for it all. I'm not saying it wasn't worth it. Just that I got a bit of a sticker shock. Of course, there were 5 of us, and we enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and two of the entrees were duck , so...I can't complain too much!
We will definitely return. It was a lovely post-covid celebration.
Went for date night. The food and staff were exceptional. Time flew by and we enjoyed every minute of it. Can’t wait to go back again!
Not the best experience but they are making it right.
I've never been disappointed at The Arbour. The food and service are always excellent.
Kudos to Chef Ian and his well-trained staff!
The food was terrific. The wait staff was outstanding. This was a first date night out in over a year. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my daughter’s graduation. They made us feel really special. The food was delicious and they wrote “Congratulations” on my daughter’s dessert. The staff is very careful and wears masks and gloves. Even the cooks have masks on the whole time. I was very impressed with this place. If you are looking for a special occasion place, or just want to treat yourselves, I highly recommend The Arbour.
Love the free parking, amazing service, great food, and ambiance!
Our server, Josè, was really nice and attentive. He made good recommendations when we had questions on the menu. One of the better old fashioned cocktails I’ve had in Pasadena. The risotto was really good.
Best place in town!!
Just the best!!
Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and friendly, attentive service! Thats what makes every dinner at The Arbour a real treat. The new strudel dessert with housemade ice cream makes you think you're in Europe, so save room!
Loved it really delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Fabulous service! So nice to be at a beautiful restaurant. Appetizers are large enough to share! Pasta is freshly made everyday on site. Excellent seafood. Food is beautifully presented.
Superb neighborhood restaurant. So glad they survived!
This was the first time since Covid that we'd been to The Arbour. Everything was excellent. The service was great and the food was outstanding. The only downside was the wine list that offers very few choices for wine by the glass. It's a unique and pretty room. We're looking forward to returning soon.
We dined indoors for my husband's birthday. The tables and booths are all spread out so there's a good feel of privacy and also safety. Our waiter was very nice and engaged with our 7 year old daughter. Everything we ordered was very good. My husband had the sea bass and I shared the shrimp penne pasta with my daughter. The pasta portion was very large. The pasta was cooked al dente the way I like it. We had the apple strudel for dessert and it was surprisingly light and flaky. The waiter did apologize for the food taking longer than usual to come out. We went on a Monday night which was busier than usual. We would recommend this restaurant to others.
The restaurant was lovely. The food was good, but what really stood out to us was the amazing service from our server, Jose. He was the best! Very helpful, friendly, and made us feel at ease. His suggestions were spot on as well. Overall, glad we tried this place out!
Each time we come here, we wonder why we don’t come more often. Everything is fantastic and we always have perfect service.
It was a very nice restaurant with good food just a tad pricy
