Excellent service. Lovely ambiance. The oysters, steak, and pasta were particularly good.
This is our second time at The Arbour, but it will not be our last. The food was excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful and the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Wonderful! My wife & I started with oysters on half shell, and drinks. My children were offered pasta dishes of their choosing. The oysters were delicious and the drinks (4) first rate. My tuna and polenta with asparagus entree was excellent and sized right and the house pinot noir was nice. My wife ordered a pasta dish with shrimp, I did not sample it. During the meal we had a pleasant visit with the chef (Ian) who entertained us as though we were family. I choose apple strudel for desert and it was wonderful, my wife had a pumpkin pie slice which she enjoyed. . The room is comfortable and warm with ample spacing between tables. In terms of value we left after spending about $240 including a 20% tip. Highly recommended!
The ambience, the service, and the high quality of the food is exemplary. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Delicious food and great service
Great ambiance, food, and service. Computers were down for billing so our waitress brought us a free dessert and coffee.
The Arbour is a delightful gem right in the heart of Pasadena. The decor is bright and classy, but with a casual, friendly vibe. The food tonight was delicious, as usual. Chef Ian Gresik carefully sources the highest quality product then prepares it in a tasty and visually appealing way. The raw seafood medley was artfully presented and consisted of a generous portion of Maine lobster, shrimp, oysters and mussels. The pasta course, all housemade, was a rich umami delight with white truffles. That and the delicious bread and butter could have made a meal in itself! The main course of short rib was tender, served with a gorgeous pan juice, accompanied by seasonal vegetables. The pecan pie with a quenelle of whip cream was the perfect way to end a delightful meal. Service was friendly and knowledgable. You can tell the staff take a great deal of pride in their work. The wine list is focused, but diverse. The selections really complimented the cuisine. It's always a pleasure to dine at The Arbour and I look forward to returning as soon as possible.
Wonderful setting. Nice and airy restaurant for a date night.
Best gourmet meal we have had in a long time. Service impeccable as well.
The staff at the restaurant were very pleasant. I got a bit confused with the parking situation so I called and the hostess clarified that I should look for the village parking off of Hudson. We opted to sit outside but you’re actually on the sidewalk. I was under the impression that there was an outdoor patio. Service was phenomenal! Our waiter had some great recommendations for each of our pallets. My friend had the tuna, which she loved, and I had the rigatoni. The serving sizes were great and I even had enough to bring home for leftovers. For dessert we had the apple pastry. It was the perfect amount of sweet but I’m not sure I would have it again. It was great for a Thanksgiving dessert. The staff were very mindful of people passing on the sidewalk that may have tried to interrupt our meal, which we were very thankful for. It was a great night and wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.
Very good family meal
Service slow. Food not hot.
Thanksgiving menu — everything was delicious
Went for Thanksgiving dinner, which was prix fixe everything was excellent. Mushroom soup was especially delicious, and my wife and I both had the turkey dinner, which was quite nice. Stuffing was so good I wish the restaurant would offer it year-round. Would be worth returning just for that. Desserts also good. Service was attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was also quite nice. We were both very happy with the evening!
The Arbour made our Thanksgiving special. The service, the food, the ambience, the wine - all wonderful. It was our first time and we are already planning to return. Kudos to the chef and to each person that contributed to making it a fine culinary and overall dining experience. Bravo!
Hostess not aware of ADA law regarding service dog. Tried to seat us outside.
Excellent service good food will go back
Delicious food and excellent customer service
We ate outside. Inside was noisy. Service was great. One person's steak was too well done and they immediately brought him another which was just right plus a small salad to eat while waiting! Will definitely go back.
Finally made it to The Arbour for dinner after years of wanting to check it out. Was slightly underwhelmed. The food, although very fresh, fell flat on some flavors and overly salty on others. Once the restaurant filled up, the ambiance was probably the best thing the restaurant has going for itself. The layout lends itself to covid safety so that's a plus. Decent, but not great wine list. Service was polite and prompt. Wish I had more positive things to offer.
Lovely ambiance. Basic menu. Great bar cocktails!
Decided to celebrate a friends birthday early and neither one of us had eaten here. Made the reservation for four and included that we had a birthday. When we got there, hostess was very nice and offered us a different table to be more comfortable (2 of us are pregnant and she noticed) if need be. We sat and Thomas, our waiter, took care of us the the whole night. Very lovely for a simple girls night out. Food was good - portions were more than a “serving size” and maybe good for sharing. Overall had a great time.
Was visiting the area and tried The Arbour, after reading other reviews. We all enjoyed our food and service was great too.
Great service! Excellent Brussels Sprout salad. Yummy cocktails.
Poor food ,
Parking is convenient.
Great food and service. Decor was also very modern and not stuffy. Only complaint was that it was a bit chilly and drafty indoors. Most people had to keep their coat or sweatshirt on during dinner which made it a lower star experience.
Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The mushroom soup is outstanding. Our waiter/sommelier gave excellent, knowledgeable, recommendations for pairing wines.
Fantastic all around!
Not too casual not too fancy, perfect for date night
Food was delicious, service was great, and they remembered it was our anniversary!
This place is usually great but the service has gone down a bit. I think they may have been short staffed or something. Staff seemed apathetic.
The food was very good, but the staff was amazing. We would definitely recommend.
Food is very fresh!! The chili with the beef fat candle was fabulous. Everything we had was delicious. Everyone was nice and friendly. Highly recommend The Arbour!
Ice meal GREAT server
Solid eatery in Pasadena. It's upscale casual, if that's a thing? Cool looking place but a strange layout. Crew is very nice and service excellent.
Food is very good. They LOVE salt, so it fell short of excellent for me. Tagliatelle app was good but this was over the top with salt Not enough to ruin the dish but certainly enough to not love it.
Duck Duo was a little better but still, why so much salt!? My wife had a special, seared yellowtail on crispy risotto cake. This dish was great. Served with asparagus, it's a winner.
Bar looks great. Excellent selection of whiskey. I opted for wine. Good menu with limited but enough glass options. Pinot was a complete winner with Duck dish, in spite of salt issue.
If kitchen can back off the salt, though!
Great service and food! We will definately be back.
I booked this restaurant as it was recommended on various sites as a well-reviewed and romantic location for other fresh California cuisine and strong wine list. The staff were not knowledgeable about foot or wine, was rushed through our meal, chairs going up while having dinner. The wine we chose was brought to the table after the meal was served. It was a cumbersome experience. They all did their best but I don’t see us returning.
However we have in the past & will in the future dine at Arbor even if there is not a special occasion
I asked to move to different table ( drafty cold at first table )
Waitress very politely accommodated us !
I asked for extra rapini in the tagliatelle and it was done nicely!
From the moment we walked in the personal service was warm, friendly and inviting. The food, as always was excellent. The Brussels sprouts salad was delightful as was the main course of salmon and ahi. Will definitely revisit shortly.
