They are really starting to get their pre-pandemic groove back! Lots more menu options (including, for spring, their stellar white asparagus soup with basil oil), lots more seating, and more creativity on display again, such as lemon foam topping veggies and duck cooked two ways. The service was the low point, with the waiter acting like he was trying to rush us out the door the whole time. (But as my companions pointed out, that's usually better than when the staff forces fake friendliness on you.) Keep up the good work, Arbour, we're rooting for you!
Wonderful experience. The staff was so accommodating and cheerful. The food was delicious!!
We re fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality in Pasadena. Wonderful food served by caring staff in a very safe environment.
Another outstanding meal. Thanks again to all the staff for their ongoing commitment to excellence during these challenging times.
Good food, attentive service, nice large room, not overly noisy
Fantastic food. Nice servers. Service a little slow but maybe cause of less staff.
Loved the vibe of the space and the appetizer was great. Thereafter things kind of went downhill. 30 minutes for the main course to arrive and no staff interaction during that time. I will go back as I think this was unusual due to covid starts and stops.
We went to the Arbour to celebrate our wedding anniversary! It was the first time dining out since June 2020 (which was also at the Arbour) and it was great to see Chef Ian and his staff. Glad things are finally opening up again.
JOSE our waiter was amazing… He was so kind, he did not rush us, I brought my teenagers there and he treated them like adults with respect and was equally attentive to them as he was to myself and my friends that were dining. It was so relaxing and enjoyable… And as we exited to the back parking lot the chef thanked us for coming and said good night. It reminded me of small-town living and the care that they give at restaurants in small towns in Italy. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends!
Really wonderful food every time. I almost never order chicken breast in a restaurant because it is inevitably dry. Not at The Arbour! That was probably the best chicken breast I have ever had. Everything else I have tried there has also been outstanding. This is a favorite restaurant, a real gem of Pasadena. I highly recommend it!
Warning: there seems to be some glitch in the GPS systems used by Uber and Lyft when they look for this simple location, and they may drop you off somewhere else entirely. This can be particularly problematic when at the end of the meal they try to pick you up at the restaurant to take you home. Just be aware.
So glad you are open again and Nicholas is a fabulous person. He is a great asset to your restaurant. All the other staff members are really wonderful too! Thank you.
This is a neighborhood gem!!!
Amazing food!!!
GREAT waitstaff!!
Charming place!!!
The Arbour immediately makes you feel at home in their welcoming presence. I returned for a second time after recommending the restaurant to my friends.
It's the exceptional and kind service, the delicious, fresh menu and overall ambient atmosphere that made me feel comfortable, yet important. My girlfriends and I hadn't seen each other for awhile, so we ended up staying well past closing hours and not once did the staff remind us that they were closing.
Bridget and Daniel were closing (Sunday) and were so sweet in allowing us to take our time to leave, which is rare and greatly appreciated. Jose - who was our server, definitely added to the beautiful culture that is The Arbour.
I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
Their seared tuna over crispy rice is amazing, and the marg's were tasty as well.
I went to the Arbour Sunday early evening with my friend. Everything was perfect; our waiter was very polite and knowledgeable, always there when we needed him but not being intrusive, food was delicious and nicely spaced out so did not feel rushed, drinks well made. Would gladly come back!
Foods was good
Lovely service, great kitchen, good wines, definitely enjoyed myself
The food and service at The Arbour were fantastic and as good as I remembered from the "before time" ! I was happy to see The Arbour open...wishing them continued success!
A phenomenal meal. We loved every item we ordered. Our server had the best personality and was extremely diligent in ensuring we had everything we needed. Will be back-often!
Our server was fantastically attentive. We were seated outdoors and it was cold AND raining but two strong heaters were provided on either side of our booth and we had coverage from the rain. Food and cocktails were great!
This food is amazing, I wish that I also ordered an appetizer. The only reason everything wasn’t 5 star was because we were seated outside due to covid-19 restrictions. Even still, just looking inside made me want to come back to get to sit inside as well. Service was awesome and even the bread is good enough to eat without butter. 5 stars for date night
Good experience. Server was very attentive, and food was good.
Service, appearance of the dishes, taste, al fresco ambience - everything was "spot on."
We were delighted with our dining experience and hope to return very soon.
Recommend the duck!
I had the butternut squash soup and sea bass entree. Both were amazing. Service was excellent.
Nice outdoor space.
Duck was amazing as eas the butternut squash soup. Will.come back.
Overall would prefer Altaeats for a similar experience and pricepoint. Would return for the duck entree but the bacon tart, chocolate mousse, and cheesecake were not that impressive. Amigos said the beet salad was great though.
Service was very very good; their hustle is apparent and the main reason why I will return
A superb dining experience! I hope to go back here often.
Food was great and service was attentive.
Our first time back since Covid. The staff was wonderful. Greeted warmly and our server was friendly and gave great recommendations. Above all the chef was fantastic and everything on our table was enjoyed greatly. We will be looking forward to a return date night.
Love the Arbour.
Wonderful as always. Lobster salad delightful & service exceptional.
This was our first night out dining after 2.5 months of staying home. It was so nice to dine outside.....and at The Arbour. The food was overall great! We had the Brussels sprouts salad to start, and the salmon salad and the duo duck. If you like Brussels sprouts, this salad is for you. It was sweet because of the pine nuts and a bit savory from the goat cheese. We thought it was a great way to start. I LOVED the duo duck. The salmon was excellent, but the salad could’ve been better. Nothing special with the salad. Overall, we felt safe, the food was great, and the service was excellent!
The duck and all the vegetables with which it was served was delicious! We began with bacon tart which was underwhelming, however. Great martinis!
Excellent and attentive service and delicious and perfectly prepared food. This gem on South Lake Ave. should not be missed. So glad to have The Arbour back serving sit down dining again. Thank you Javier for the excellent service!
I didn't understand why we were sat in the side walk while others were sat inside. They claim the section inside was part of the patio but it looked closed off to me. Food was ok.
The food was either cold or over cooked. We asked for a medium and the meat was well done. We were also seated outside in a dark area, granted there were heaters which was nice but we were all the way at the end of the outdoor set up next to the retail location adjacent.
Amazing restaurant. I loved it but my date was cold because the window was open. I know restaurants are doing their best under these circumstances but the inside needs some heating.
Love the restaurante , the service is excellent and the food was delicious
My wife and I dined at the Arbour for Valentines and it was a wonderful experience. Their Covid accommodations were handled both safely and unobtrusively so the evening felt very much like a ‘normal’ night out — which was most appreciated! Thanks Arbour!
