The Arbour - Pasadena
Date with the hubby! Server was fantastic, food delic as always and we had great time!
Sea bass, Duck & Lamb Chops perfectly prepared & delicious. Cocktails way above average. Our waiter, Garret, provided excellent service.
The chef is wonderful. Everything is delicious. When I was there, something had been taken off the menu, and he made it for me anyway!! Couldn't ask for more!
Great ambience, good food and comfortable booth. I recommend this charming retaurant to anyone looking for a contiental menu.
Delicious lunch in a lovely setting. Couldn’t have been better.
Elegant dining setting. We were there on a Monday night so the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. We ordered an artichoke arugula salad and oysters. I don’t recommend the oysters but the salad was yummy. Our main entries were the sea bass and lamb chops. The dishes were outstanding. The fish and the lamb chops were lightly seasoned so you could feel the taste of fresh food. The sides that came with the dishes were cleverly chosen to accent the main dish. I like the way the chef chose his ingredients. Very new, bold, innovative. Definitely will come back.
I had never been to this restaurant but had been looking forward to going. The entire experience was outstanding. The service, food and ambiance were amazing! We had the table for two right next to the fireplace. The duck served under a cloche was perfect.
The Arbour is absolutely wonderful on all levels from cuisine, ambiance, comfort, decor, detail oriented and a unique culinary experience above and beyond.
I will highly recommend to everyone I know.
On Saturday night, the kitchen was a bit backed up, so our entrees took longer to arrive than they should have. The server was very good about keeping us informed, but still it was an unfortunate faux pas in an otherwise wonderful experience.
A little chilly sitting near the window in winter, but seating comfortable and not too close to one's neighbor. Food was creative and very tasty! Dessert also yummy.
Lunch at The Arbour on a quiet Friday was very nice. Divers’ scallops were excellent with a medley of kidney, garbanzo and edamame with foam. My friend had pasta with sausage and rapini that looked lovely. Their wine pours are on the scant side. I love the space and would definitely love to host a private dinner in their side room which is beautifully done. All in all a wonderful addition to the Pasadena dining scene. I’ve only been for lunch and it’s not very busy which concerns me, although friends who have been for dinner say that they are busier in the evening.
As always... food was amazing! Such a great restaurant!
The cocktails and food are great. High quality ingredients prepared in incredible combinations that aren’t at all pretentious (except maybe for the smoking duck). The service was fantastic, not only for our table, but for all of the tables (from what I gathered from people watching).
We’ll definitely go again.
This place is a great addition to Pasadena! Food was excellent and the room is very cozy. Can’t wait to go back. It will be a regular.
First visit and we were really pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Excellent food. Service was lovely. It's a big space so there was plenty of room for noise at the bar, but a quiet booth for us, and a separate room for a private party. We'll be back.
Awesome experience. Great food. Would highly recommend.
Great food, as always. Service was prompt, although it did take a while for our server to come take our order. Everything afterwards was perfection. Food and service was not lagging and we acknowledge that it was a very busy night, so that might have led to the slow start. Overall, we were extremely happy with our overall experience.
This was our first experience at The Arbour and we will definitely go back. We loved the menu and the presentation of all of the dishes. The beet salad and warm artichoke heart appetizers were awesome! Our service was personable and informative. Thank you Craig. The open kitchen design and the dining ambiance was a delight. We are counting the days til we return to The Arbour.
Food was excellent as was the service. Usually the restaurant is loud but you can carry on a conversation easily. Arbour is our new favorite restaurant.
I will no longer recommend the Arbour to anyone until they bring back my favorite dish bison tartare back they removed it from there menu and replaced it with a sad beef carpaccio which tasted horrible Also the sea urchin pasta dish was sad and dry and they almost burnt my scallops so overall I was soooooo disappointed with my dinner last night and we went weekly for my bison tartare and beef fat candle chili I will not go until it’s back on menu please replace a tartare with a tartare dish not a dry carpaccio
Table wasn’t ready for reservation time, about 45 minutes late. Waiter was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Ribeye was under seasoned.
We met friends for dinner and it was the first time we’d been seated in the main dining area, so I was a bit concerned about the noise level. We had a booth against the wall and it was perfect! Low level, atmospheric, noise and very comfortable. Our server was good and not bothersome but there when we needed him, so much appreciated. 2 of us had the special entree, which was delicious and the other 2 had the fish. We had one baked California for dessert and it was a perfect meal.
I've been talking up The Arbor, ever since I dined there! The service was excellent, Jeremy made the best recommendations for drinks & food & was so friendly! From the time I stepped thru the door, to the moment we left, I felt like I was being treated like a rock star.
Highly recommend! Food, service, and atmosphere is all good.
Table not ready on time then once seated no one appeared for 10 minutes. Service was generally slow and clumsy, such as the busboy asking we pass him plates instead of going to the other side of the table, and dinner and dessert being served without providing utensils. Appetizers were great - chili and the poke special were flavorful, balanced and nicely plated. Desserts were delicious, too. There are many restaurants in Pasadena at the same or lower price point with more professional waitstaff. If quality service is important, consider other options.
We had a wonderful time here. Understand it's not the least-expensive option, but the food is fresh, flavorful and filling.
The pear salad with prosciutto, onions and mixed greens was tasty, and the dressing a perfect compliment. While I enjoyed the many flavors of the mustard-rubbed rack of lamb with couscous, the missus dined on the sea bass with polenta and cauliflower. I sampled this, too, and found it so fresh and flavorful. The wine and dessert were the perfect compliment to our meal.
We enjoyed professional, friendly service and the entire atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again.
We loved our “day-after” Valentine’s Day dinner. Craig was our server and he was amazing. We really appreciated his explanation of the menu and his recommendations. We look forward to our next dinner at The Arbour.
You can always depend on The Arbour for good service and great food. Plus fun atmosphere.
Easy Friday reservation, nice table booth. Overall service and attention was good although the food came out kinda slow for us. Also, the meat seemed to be a little too over seasoned / salty while the starches and veggies seemed under seasoned. We got the lobster and home made noodles special along with the rack of lamb. Rack was cooked to a rather nice medium rare. Place seems more appropriate for couples rather than families with kids.
We were there for Valentine's Day. The offers were pricey but not overly expensive.
They ran out of the appetizer my wife and I wanted. At the end of the evening, we learned they had thrown out the 1/2 of the meal my wife hadn't eaten and was going to take home.
Also, at the prices, I think a small glass of champagne should have been added.
On the positive side, to make up for their errors, they let my wife choose a "midcourse" for her appetizer, and they cooked a whole new serving of the food they threw out for us to take home. This is exactly what should have been done.
The food was ok but not as good as the last time I was there. I am unsure that this was due to Valentine's Day. We'll probably give this place another chance, but not in the very near future.
We were dining here For the first time....Valentine’s Day! Amazing food, service and ambiance. Can’t wait to go back and see there normal dining menu — This very well might be the top restaurant in Pasadena.....and we’ve been to some great ones!
eccellent food and the waiter was great. i will recommend . they also have a fireplace that made it cozy
The general service was good, bartenders were a little slow however. Also, the table booked through reservation was changed by the restaurant. Overall a good experience.
I chose this restaurant for our Valentines Day dinner, on recommendation from a friend. The food was good, the ambiance was nice, and the service was okay. But for a special dinner I would have picked another place. For every day, it was good.
We have been to Arbour several times and enjoy it a lot. Our favorite waiter is Jeramy. He did rush us and yet he was very attentive
Pretty pricy, but great for special occasions! The Duck was excellent!
