   Last night of the season was spectacularly beautiful with great food and a bell-ringer of a sunset. I had swordfish with fried oysters and broccoli rabe; my husband had the seafood stew, both excellent. By the standards of fine dining in the Vineyard, it was not expensive and the setting is outrageously beautiful.

   Beautiful view on a beautiful evening. We sat outside and watched the sunset at the end of our meal. Our server Ana was terrific!

   We thought our food and server were both top of the line. They were out of a number of entree options and when we expecting to finish the meal with dessert they were out of pie and could offer only ice cream.

   As a New Englander and big fish eater, I can say I had the best swordfish ever at the Aquinnah - thick cut, simply prepared, perfectly cooked, moist, tender. Also highly recommend the little necks, cooked in a light garlic herb, butter broth that demanded extra bread for soaking up the sauce. The other meals, shrimp scampi and burger, were also good. Short but nice wine list, homemade desserts, and a breathtaking view.

   Beautiful scenery not only at sunset but all the day. Food was tasty, prompt service and might even dine with celebrities.

   The Aquinnah Shop is in a lovely spot with beautiful views to the west over the water. The staff are very nice and the food is adequate. I almost always have the lobster roll which comes on a brioche bun and is good. My friend had the chicken sandwich which he said was only okay as it had too much pesto. The garden salad we shared had a sweet-ish dressing which I did not care for at all and could not eat. It is a nice Vineyard place to go with okay food.

   After hearing such positives about this place, got there about 815p, got good service, but was very disappointed with the food......

    It was outstanding. The sunset view was amazing. the food was very good-I had the crab cake and cole slaw appetizer, followed by seared tuna, red potatoes and broccoli. The strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode was delicious. The service was a bit uneven, as they brought my entree before I had finished my appetizer. It took a while or my check to arrive-that might have been because the restaurant became more crowded as it came closer to sunset. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting MVY.
