The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown. The menu reflects the concept of Mediterranean mezze style dining, consisting of many small plates, rustic in nature and reflective of seasonality and creates a natural progression and flow for the dining experience. The Aperture’s menu reflects three fundamental tenets: intention, balance, and focus. The menu - and its individual dishes - are approached with the objective of putting critical thought into every component, eliminating the extraneous, and ensuring a natural flow across the menu. The culinary program is heavily influenced by the cuisine of the broader Mediterranean region and the simple, seasonal cooking of Southern France, Italy, Greece, and the Levant.

The finest of dining in Walnut Hills! The small plate concept is great for the opportunity to try several dishes. The charred carrot was very flavorful...spicy but not too hot, the scallops were fresh and uniquely prepared, the pasta was amazing as was the Wagyu short rib. Save room for the white chocolate tort. The decor is beautiful and we had great service.

Excellent dinner at Aperture. All the dishes we had were incredible, all very flavorful. We had the carrot, mushroom, rigatoni, gnocchi and mussels dishes. All were incredible. My wife didn’t particularly like the mussels dishes because of the strong flavor. But I liked it. I think the carrot and rigatoni dishes were our favorites. Service was great. We will be going back soon To try the other dishes.

The food is creative and tasty. A few dishes were way too spicy, such as the carrots. Presentation is good. The ambience is too basic and sterile, not warm. The industrial black rugs look bad. They should go.

BBQ week was amazing…chef could definitely open a BBQ restaurant, and I would enjoy it almost as much as I do the Aperture menu!

We were disappointed in the BBQ special. The meats were overall dry and overcooked. The brisket was and sausage were ok but the others were dry. Especially found the chicken to be small pieces and dry and were charged a large supplement to have chicken instead of another meat choice. Sides were all good - especially the collards. Service was good. Cocktails were good.

We have been to The Aperture many times and have never had a less than stellar experience. The service is efficient and friendly, and the food is outstanding. But this last time we dined during Chef Brown's Texas BBQ week (July 1-5) and it was phenomenal! The brisket was the best brisket we have ever eaten, and the wings, ribs, and pulled pork were fantastic as well. All of the sides and sauces were delicious. It was reasonably priced for the amount of food they offered. I hope he does this during 4th of July week every year!
