THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.
I was not made aware of this and Open Table took the reservation that I made online and provided me a confirmation number. On the day of the event, I called reservations at the Deerhurst Resort to try and change the time of my reservation with Antler restaurant, only to realize that it was closed for the season.
Very disappointed and embarrassed that I didn't have a reservation that night to celebrate my husband's b'day.
The food was excellent and cooked too perfection and very friendly service
Overall the food was very good. Unfortunately, it was very expensive . The portion size for both crab cake and scallops were small, there was one cake for $17 and only 2 scallops for $19.00.
Everything was ok. But at a $$ restaurant, I expect more than ok. In particular, poorly seasoned food is a big no-no. I actually had to use the salt and pepper on the table.
Overpriced on most items example two scallops for $19 , ceasar salad $11
8oz steak $48
Took 15 min before we even ordered a drink. Drink was made with powder rather than fresh lime juice.
Appetizer, muscles, was just ok.
Ordered the lamb and beef tenderloin. They were horribly over cooked and dry. Wild mushrooms were not completely cooked and their potato was dry and uninventive.
Overall, a terrible meal and we are really not that picky! Waiter was nice and did not charge for the entrees.
Quite the disappointing evening. We have been here several times, always sitting in the enclosed porch area. We thought we would sit in the main dining room. Not doing that again. Too noisy and too confining for just people in a corner. The service still is wonderful, we had a great spring salad but for a place that specializes in grilled steaks, etc. we were very disappointed in the quality of the meats for the first time since we have been there. The tenderloin was completely flavourless and my medium rare was practically scorched outside and medium inside. The rack of lamb looked like it had been prepared from frozen and neither looked well grilled and was not of high quality. The only saving grace for the two of us were the truffle fries and wild mushrooms. Considering the cost of the meal, we may not go back again unless we hear of improvements.
Absolutely amazing. Incredible food and 15/10 service. They’ve made great improvements in the last year and we can’t wait to go again. I highly recommend the Bison Ribeye. Nothing compares in the Huntsville area.
Server forgot to tell us the specials, didn’t ask how my husband wanted his bison cooked. We heard about the specials when our server was waiting on other tables. We weren’t asked if we would like a second drink. Food lacked flavour. This was our anniversary dinner and we were very disappointed. We drove from Barrie just to go for dinner. Prices were for fine dining and we didn’t get that. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Undercooked my daughter’s steak not once but twice. Food was ok, my steak was good as was my wife’s. Sides were very salty but ok. Service was very good. Waitress was very nice and apologetic. Overall food at Deerhurst was average. We expected more given what we pay per night. Best meals were had in Huntsville off the resort.
Quality food served with style and grace. They are happy to accommodate any reasonable request and to do so with willingness and enthusiasm.
Such a great way to spend our 4th wedding anniversary! The steak was to die for (and I am PICKY about my steak); HIGHLY recommend the foie gras compound butter!
Had a quiet table in the screened porch, wine meno offered good selection although would like to see an Oakes Chardonnay from California. Beef tenderloin perfectly cooked and very tender. Baked potatoes delicious although I found the bacon topping to have too much maple flavouring to be paired with a steak. Roasted tomatoes and radishes excellent. Our server Linda was as always excellent. Attentive, cheerful and very knowledgable.
Thank you a perfect evening.
We celebrated our Anniversary. We are residents at Deerhurst. We booked a later seating at 8:30. First they couldn't find our reservation. No biggy because we had one and my confirmation # handy if necessary. Unfortunately we could not have a drink at the bar as they sorted out our reservation as they said they didn't have any one tending bar. So we waited 10 minutes in the lounge until the Manager came and found our name at her first attempt. Its a fairly easy name to Spell. "Mailow". Our table in the veranda amazing as always. We ordered champagne and the server did bring the ice bucket but did not quickly chill the glasses as we requested but we took care of that ourselves. Appetizers were terrific but unfortunately our Entrees were not. The Veal Chop was dry and cool and the Seafood Pasta was dry. Being 9:00 9:30 the kitchen is winding down and maybe they ran out of sauce. I was surprised when I asked the server for grated cheese the server didn't have a cheese hand grinder and did not offer any ground pepper. So when I asked for cheese the server reluctantly brought a small dish with large chunks of cheese which of course I did not use. We are the type of couple that make everything work and don't usually let anything bring down our time together. In saying that when the server did ask how everything was I did mention it wasn't as good as usual. Alittle disappointing. In saying that its not always the Servers fault if you are unhappy with your meal. Again we are not the type of couple to complain and my husband did leave a 20% tip and the champagne made everything GREAT. I thought I would tell you our experience. Hope to see you again soon when we return for the Fall Colours. Cheers
Not worth the prices they are charging. I believe the steaks are from frozen and inattentive servers. Would not go back.
