Very nice location with a great view. Service was great. We had a fun time. Making a Reservation was never simpler even when we had to change days.
We had the beef short ribs which were very tender and delicious. The portion was generous. The only thing we had noted from our last visit is that a bottle of wine was much more expensive. We only ordered one glass at $14. Dinner here is not the cheapest in the Huntsville area that is for sure. An anniversary outing may justify the cost.
Absolutely an amazing honeymoon dinner ! The severs were so amazing especially Murray! He was so caring and sweet ! The food was unreal ! The steak was a great size for my husband who loves his steaks ! Everything was perfect! I don’t see why anyone would have anything negative to say about it ! Well done Antler Staff for making our honeymoon dinner so special Saturday evening !
Great food, great service. The only down-side was that this was our anniversary dinner (noted in the reservation) and we were seated beside a noisy party of 25 people. Was not the most romantic setting (and we would think that they could have accommodated better), however still nice experience.
The food was good, but not worth the price. It was comparable to what I would get at the Keg, but almost double the price.
The food, environment, and service was amazing. Just wished the hotel was the same.
Murray was amazing as our server and the food was beyond our expectations-will definitely return!!
Great food, can’t wait to eat here again. The rib-eye steak was to die for!!! The service was great and all our needs were met. Highly recommend!
What we both ordered from the menu, was not what was served to us. It was a great meal, and not what we ordered.
Best meal we have ever had - Thanksgiving turkey dinner. We live in Guelph, but will come up next year for Thanksgiving just to have that meal again. Hope the same chef will be on staff then.
8oz AAA steak was almost as good as harbour 60 in Toronto.
2nd best I ever had
I exceeded the character limit in my review (which I will post on TripAdvisor), but in short, they overcooked the meat and under-cooked the vegetables. Service is very friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, but we will not return.
Excellent dinner, wonderful staff- only criticism- notopen in winter.
Beautiful log cabin restaurant nestled in the woods -
Always loved going there in winter with the open fires outside.
Had dinner at the Antler on Saturday night. We had a wonderful experience, as always. Been coming here for 5 years now. Murray was our server again this year and he was as great as ever! Thank you Deerhurst.
Everything about this restaurant was great except for the food. You could get a better quality steak for the same price or less at a chain steakhouse. I would much rather be going to the Keg for my next steak. The potatoes were unsatisfying and the steak was extremely chewy/tough. I couldn’t get through half of my steak and it was a shame. We got the charcuterie board to start, and it came with cheese meat and mustards... there was no crackers or bread to use with the mustard...kind of confused.
Our group of 4 enjoyed our meal at Deerhust Antler Steakhouse and we had great and friendly service. The restaurant did become a bit noisy as the night wore on but it's likely because it is so popular! Our table was ready when we arrived and there weren't many filled tables at that time so the piped in music was a bit loud however our server took care of reducing the volume when we asked. The food was delicious, I had the vegetarian dish and my husband had the baby ribs which were melt in your mouth tasty. Our only real complaint of the evening was when we went to pay with our Deerhurst membership card we were told that we could not separate the bills per couple to receive the discount. I didn't understand this. Each couple respectively had, and paid for, their own membership card with the understanding as a party of four, the discount would be 25%, but the bill should still be split for payment when requested. We were told that if the bill were split, then the discount would not apply to either bill. Unaware of this strange policy, one member had to pay for the whole dinner on their credit card which is not what we the customers wanted.
We were there about 20 mins early than the reservation time. The greeting staff told us our table was not ready for us with a rough attitude and told us sat wherever we liked. When the table ready close to my reservation time, another greeting staff brought us to the table but without any pleasant smile and when we asking her if possible to bring us another coloring paper for my daughter and she just refused and said no others in bad attitude too. But luckily the waitress was nice and get us what she could do.
Our server, Murray was excellent. Food is very good and ambiance is nice.
Our dining experience at antler exceeded our expectations with food, service and atmosphere. We celebrate a honeymoon dinner date while staying at the deerhurst resort here. The food was impeccable. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our evening our first time there, food was great , waiter was very good
We will dine there again.
Bone in rib eye was missing the bone. The atmosphere is a little dated. Servers were mixed bag.
Nice place, good service, particularly good steak and sides.
We had to move 3 times until we were comfortable. First we were in the screened porch area and it felt stuffy, then moved into dining room and were seated with a vent under the table and it was freezing and by third move we were happy. We were given one small roll that was cut thinly and dried out for 2 people. We noticed other tables of two with at least 3 whole buns. I ordered the seafood pasta which was delicious and my husband ordered the $58 T-bone steak. He asked for medium which we were told would be pink. It was medium well or more and there was no pink in sight. Waiter said he get us another. In the meant time, I thought it would have been nice if he offered us a complimentary glass of wine or later complimentary desert or even a discount on the steak but no, nothing. Was not impressed with the service and the stale bun sealed the deal that we won’t be coming back which is unfortunate because the main courses were good, but too many other places that we will get treated much better.
We had to wait a little because our table (we had a reservation) was still occupied. But after that the service was really good as well as the food. It is pricey just like the entire resort.
Steak hard as a rock and overcooked. zero flavor.
Ordered a Mojito and was a poor bartender attempt.
I didn't enjoy my dinning experience neither my family.
My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and did not have a goood experience. The server sat us and then forgot about us. Glasses and dishes were never cleared, she never took our drink order until our food arrived. We didn’t receive the complimentary bread and when we asked about it our server said they were out o bread even though people that were seated after us received bread. Our steaks were cooked well but very poor tough cuts of meat. It was very expensiive and low quality of meat.
Wonderful view from the patio. Service was great. Friendly staff and a lovely setting.
Asked for medium well, first time it came well done on the inside & charred on the outside. Second time it was raw on the inside, couldn't eat it. Potatoes & salad were good, service was ok. The guitarist was very loud so could talk to my partner without yelling. Overall was not the best experience and would not go back.
When entering the front of the restaurant there were empty beer cases upturned at the front door. It was a sign of things to come. The quality of the food was terrible. Starting from the bread basket which both our table and another table next to us had to be sent back. The steak was okay but the braised ribs were definitely reheated. The sauces were terrible. Not worth the price!
After our horrendous experience at the lodge, our dining experience was an unexpected surprise. Wait staff was very good, the salad was exceptional and our main courses were very good. It wasn't ideal being located by the fire exit on the porch and the inside needs a bit of updating. A renovation to make the porch larger and give your customers more room would be excellent. Overall though, a very nice experience.
Good experience. Would return.
I visited with my dad over the weekend and we have a great experience! The service is amazing and super friendly and the wine was spectacular. The mussels were my favourite! I would highly recommend sitting outside since the restaurant overlooks a golf course and during sunset; it is a sight to see. Overall I would highly recommended for all except for families with children.
The scenery is quite nice on the outside patio area, however that was the best thing about the place.
We ordered the mussels and crab dip as an appetiser. The mussels were very good however the crab dip/shrimps was 6 cold shrimps with a small fishy hard cream cheese crab dip on the side, definitely not as advertised.
For our mains we had the vegetable pasta, which was average at best, the seafood pasta which again was average, however both these two dishes came out cold. The other two in our party ordered the $48 steaks medium rare and both came out very well done. When they complained about them they reluctantly replaced them after having them cut through the middle to see if the middle was done properly. Any steak house should be able to cook their meat evenly throughout. When they did replace them they served them just the meat. So they ate the sides and then were later served two chunks of meat on a bare plate. Usually if there is an issue with a dish, they take the whole dish away and reserve the entire thing so that the diner can enjoy everything together.
For the price, the food did not stand up to the quality you would expect, especially for a place that claims to be a steak house.
Very nice meal and worth a visit
Food and service was great. However I said it was my wife's birthday and requested "a cupcake with a candle" and this was printed on my confirmation. However I waited after dinner with my coffee, but a cupcake never arrived, so we left.
Antler is a fantastic venue for upscale dining. The meals and service were second to none!
The food's quality and its presentation are anayzing. That comes with a great view and service.
Nice dinner for two and nice quality. It was our first year anniversary dinner, and would have been nice if they had given us a free desert to celebrate. Other issue I had was that my steak was overdone - prefer medium rare but it was more on the medium side I ate it anyways but would have been better if it was cooked correct. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.
Johnny’s attentiveness to our needs was outstanding!
The airconditioning on the hottest weekend of the year was lacking.
Absolutely fantastic service and food was exceptionally great.
