Great service. Amazing food. Love our neighborhood restaurant.
Food was unique and delicious! I loved every dish we tried.
Amazing food and tremendous service.
Creative menu, beautifully executed. A paradise for foodies. Charming, classy, cozy venu off the beaten path but conveniently located near Crown Center. One of the very top places in KC>
Nice place with a good wine list and interesting food options for dinner. Sat at the bar first for a couple of drinks before dinner and the bartender could not have been better to work with and be around. Will definitely go back!
It is amazing to have an intimate restaurant with food of this caliber in Kansas City!
Had a great time, wonderful food and awesome service
Fantastic food and surprising tastes. Small plates aren’t so small and one of my top 5 memorable meals in KC this past decade. Amazing food, great value, and drink selection was perfect. Few tables and close seating. Definitely heading back and highly recommend.
Truly one of the finest places to dine in not only Kansas City, but any where. Nick, owner and chef, spent time cooking at NOMA in Copenhagen, named best restaurant in the world several times over. Kansas City is most fortunate to have he and his wife Leslie creating such delicious and memorable dining!
Had an 8:45 reservation. They didn’t seat us until 9:15. Ordered 6 items and only got two before we had to leave. We had to be somewhere at 10:30. The food that we got was great. We left disappointed.
We felt rushed. The dishes, as usual, were excellent but it was hard to enjoy them. We ordered four dishes at the start, as requested. We were about half-way through the first dish when the second arrived. We were less than half-way through the second when the third and fourth arrived together. Which one do we eat while it is hot? Or do we rush through all three? Quite frustrating. In addition, the dishes here are complex and it is good to get an explanation of what each contains when it arrives since we did not memorize the menu. No such luck. In the end, we felt like we were eating at a fast-food restaurant. Eat and go, please!
The food, service and appeal was excellent!
Food was incredible just so busy it was a little slow. We don’t mind that too much.
Beautiful venue and ambience. The service was terrific. Both of our meals were terrific but after ogling the orders of other diners, we are going to go back to try something else.
The food was AMAZING. Really enjoyed our meal. Our server was very attentive w/ just right amount of attention. Like the pace of the tapas delivery. Modern Decor is a bit spartan but it is a small place. Will visit again!
Everything was delicious but the pasta was outstanding!!
Lovely as ever
Ate at the bar. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Food was delicious and the server nailed the wine pairings. Fabulous experience.
With its creative and meticulously executed menu, the Antler Room is deserving of its reputation as a destination restaurant. The small plates are ideal for diners seeking a variety of dishes and tastes. The pasta offerings were uniformly excellent as were the desserts. Since we were a party of three we eschewed the bar for a table and it's proximity to the restrooms a distraction. The excellent cocktails and bustling bar will be our choice on a return when we are a party of two. The only glitch was one of pacing and we waited almost 20 minutes between plates three and four. Fortunately the wait person became aware of the situation and remaining dishes delivered at a better pace.
Highly recommended and definitely an excellent value for quality of offerings.
Had an early reservation, and the place quickly filled up. Smallish space, and felt cramped with the table next to us, but likely not much can be done about that. Service slowed quite a bit once it got busy. Server recommended 5-6 plates for two which was spot on. Almost 30 mins between our 3 and 4th before the rest came. Food was nice, well presented, and interesting menu.
Food was amazing. A little pricy, but worth it for the quality.
My wife ate at the Antler Room for Valentine's Day. They had a special four course menu that night. Between the two of us, we ordered each of the night's offerings. Each plate was delicious and very creative. We definitely are looking forward to returning so we can try their regular menu.
When we think KC we think The Antler Room. Atmosphere is casual with a service that rivals Michelin. From the hostess, waiter to the kitchen team, everyone is working as a team to deliver a experience to remember!
We went to The Antler Room for the Valentine's Day Prix Fixe menu, and it was divine. It's the only time I've been there, so I can't speak for their regular menu, but that night it was, hands down, one of the very best meals I've had in KC. The beef tartare, the stuffed pasta with honey butter, the pave -- all memorable and delicious. Our server was a delight, and the wine pairings were fun and interesting. Two thumbs up (well, four, since it was two of us together on Valentine's Day). Can't wait to go back!
Shared the bananas foster waffles with cornflake ice cream and smoked white fish tartine with a friend. We both agreed it was one of the yummiest brunches we have ever had! Definitely recommend the waffles! Can't wait to return.
Ok needs more vegetarian options
Truly spectacular, service and food was impeccable. A culinary gem in Kansas City.
Great dinner with friends - tried nearly everything on the menu and enjoyed all of it! Love how we just ordered what we wanted and they bring it out in a stepped order!
Exquisite meal. Interesting combinations. The freshest, perfectly cooked seafood. Interesting wines. All very reasonably priced. Will return as soon as possible.
Good food. Fantastic service. Cool environment. Amazing cocktails. Definitely a spot to check out.
The small plates are a brilliant concept to highlight the amazing food that comes out of this kitchen! Who knew cauliflower could be this amazing!!!!!! Can't wait to return!
Everything they set down was SO delish! Great suggestions on the wine list as well.
The flavours and the aromas of their creative dish are incredible.
The Antler Room is definitely in my top 10 favs restaurant in town.
I would add 3 to 4 oz more of Pasta just because is delicious and very hard to share ;)
Great place to be
Great overall experience, will definitely be back
Each dish was really excellent. Service was great! I don't remember our servers name but she was very friendly and knowledgable. We especially appreciated that they clear plates and re-set silverware between courses so the table always looks fresh for the next item. There were a few times throughout the meal where we could barely hear each other talking because it was so loud, but thats not something that really bothered us since we're all young and are sometimes loud as well. Just something to be aware of if you're taking older people who are more sensitive to noise :) We were also celebrating a birthday so it would have been fun if they had done something special for that, but it definitely didn't spoil the experience! Overall, great experience.
We have eaten at many high-quality restaurants, in KC and elsewhere, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the food at The Antler Room may have been the best we've ever had. We always had trouble getting a reservation because it seemed to fill up quickly-- now it's easy to see why!
The menu is built to share small plates, which amounts to a build-your-own tasting menu with seasonally-changing options. We shared six dishes plus a dessert, and every single one demonstrated amazing, unique flavors and perfect technique. Portion-wise, we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed even after many courses, and the quality-to-value ratio was astronomical. The cocktails also tasted phenomenal and were incredibly balanced.
Despite multiple courses to juggle, the service was exceptional. Not only was our server extremely personable and professional, the kitchen timed our meal perfectly and divided our selected dishes into courses that worked together. We never felt rushed or were kept waiting, which is difficult to pull off.
Parking is on the street, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot within a short walk. The restaurant is relatively small and feels cozy. There's a garage door off the main dining area that I assume can be opened up when the weather is nice. The noise level provided a lively atmosphere without preventing us from having a pleasant one-on-one conversation.
We look forward to returning to The Antler Room and bringing friends!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Antler Room. The only aspect of the meal that was better than the exquisite food was the spectacular service we were provided. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Staff was very accommodating to reseat us for a hearing issue. Overall very nice evening
The great experience begins with the ladies that greet you as you walk in. The wait staff were exceptional and the food is the best around. The food is unique, exciting, and feels a little adventurous for some of the dishes making for a great time.
Fantastic food. The plates are made to shared. Plan on 5 to 6 plates for two people. Some reviews have said crowded and noisy. I would say maybe a little bit louder than most but not bad. Seating is pretty normally spaced in my opinion. The food was terrific and the service was some of the best I have had anywhere. Friendly helpful staff, I highly recommend Antler Room. Try the dessert with the recommended wine pairing you will not be disappointed.
