   I hate having to do this but I have eaten here twice in the last week so this must say you are doing something right but there was just a couple of niggling things I felt could be avoided. 1. Bank Holiday Friday. There were flowers on the table that were sitting in dirty water that were dead. Fresh flowers would have been a great improvement. 2. The outside tables were a disgrace, filthy. Passing walkers would just walk away. 3. One side of bar, full of empty dirty glasses, dirty dish cloth just left on bar. Not nice. Visit yesterday. The service was very very slow. No continuity. Tables cleared but no effort to take second dessert orders. Had to ask for cutlery to be replenished. I will still go. This is a lovely pub that could be greatly improved on. Food lovely but photo of dessert just sent that morning via mail had no resemblance to dessert ordered the very same day. Sorry, don’t let the above put you off, give it a go.

   Excellent as usual, friendly, helpful service, good choice of drinks and tasty food, nice ambience in the dining room

   Amazing Sunday lunch definitely recommend a vist, staff are lovely and attentive. In a lovely setting too.

   Couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome. Lovely, helpful, and warm staff, every single one. We visited on a Sunday afternoon having booked at short notice. Everything was available and service was perfectly paced Another bonus for us that we were able to book a table guaranteed to be away from dogs. A marvellous pub Sunday lunch experience.

   Good food and service. Dog friendly. We enjoyed the Sunday lunch in the bar. Craft beer good.

   Love the new decor, service was good as ever. Our grandson wasn’t behaving too well and staff were sensitive to his needs. The food was excellent, came quickly and we enjoyed it very much. Decided not to stay for dessert which we were disappointed to miss. We’ll be back! Great Sunday lunch!

    Nice country pub doing some lovely wholesome food, friendly and attentive staff. A nice pint of Landlord as well.
