You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce.

Complete with wood fires and Palmers award winning ales, the pub is the perfect location to refuel after a day on the coastal path or for a special evening meal with friends or family.

Great staff and service, very friendly and efficient. Great with dogs and very dog friendly. Lovely ‘old’ place. Food was delicious and freshly cooked and all good value. Will definitely be back.

A lovely pub, busy and buzzing (but in a good way) with nice seating outside or inside. The menu was interesting with some nice twists on pub classics. lunch options also available. The servers and bar staff were lovely and really went the extra mile to help Us (we had an assortment of aged relatives with us :-). The food was enjoyed , there was a small kitchen ‘oops’ , which the staff sorted out well with no fuss or bother. Lovely place and we will come again. Of note : parking across the road is £8 but keep your receipt and the pub deducts a couple of quid from yr bill to share the cost, which is fair.

Such a lovely evening - the food was really delicious and the staff were great, very friendly and fab service. Obviously busy for good reason, we’d thoroughly recommend.

Lunch for 4 arranged. Mussels superb, cod fillet and Sea Bream delicious and Lamb wonderful! The most fantastic staff. Professional, friendly, hard working and aware. My only criticism is about all the dogs- glad they’re welcome but not everyone is keen on dogs and food together. The tables are very close together and we had such a huge dog next to us who was all over my feet. A little more space would be appreciated. Fantastic place and will definitely return.

We have visited the Anchor a number of times in our visits to the area. It has never failed to get the 5 stars from us. 3rd june 2025 the lamb shoulder and cod loin were deliscious. The service was just right. Even the dog was relaxed. The views and walks and good choice of beer and wine all add good reasons to visit here again soon. Fantastic Thank you

A lovely mains. Both of us had the lamb shoulder. Very tasty and good service. Could have been a bit more carbs since we had been walking along the nearby cliffs. Drinks a little expensive but great location overlooking bay.

Great reception when we arrived, menu was well written. We chose mussels to start and cod loin mains. All cooked to perfection. Tried several of Palmers beers and the cellar is kept well. This is a super country pub right on the beach.
