The Anchor is a seafood restaurant and oyster bar in the heart of beautiful and historic Over the Rhine. Located on the corner of 14th and Race, we are right across from Washington Park and Music Hall, making us a perfect destination for both pre and post theater meals. Convenient parking is located across the street in the Washington Park Garage. The Anchor is open for lunch and dinner Tuesdays through Saturday. Enjoy lunch and happy hour specials daily. We feature both traditional and communal seating. Voted Best Seafood and Best Raw Bar in Cincinnati for the last four years. Seafood is delivered fresh daily. The Anchor offers a rotating selection of east and west coast oysters and other raw bar favorites, a variety of whole fish and other seafood specialties, including a classic New England lobster roll! In warmer weather, enjoy our beautiful patio overlooking the park. If you have a party larger than 8 people, please call us directly to make a reservation.

Tuesday night HH with a girlfriend. Our crab and oysters were great - however there aren’t many spots to choose from downtown. Our server walked away from us a couple times mid-sentence, didn’t know much about wine (typically I can get over this, but I’ve seen his there for about a year). The wine also seemed corked (even the wine list was poor). However, he was nice enough the remove it from our bill without us asking. I can’t rate much on the ambiance, as little to no one was in to eat. This made me sad. :(

The food was good but it took over an hour and a half to get it. Our server was very gracious and we certainly did not harbor any ill feelings toward her. She was a great kid!

The Anchor, if it reopens, needs to pay attention to the patron’s needs. Train your wait staff regarding customer service and expand your menu.

First time. Won’t be the last. Friendly, attentive service. Excellent and reasonably priced wine list. Varied standard and specialty menus. Perfect portions... enough for sharing; not too much alone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a wonderful time at The Anchor. Everything was delicious and the server knew the menu items well. The Scallops were amazing! I will definitely being going back.
