The Americano is an Italian-inspired steakhouse that is modern in approach and Italian in spirit. With an elevated, yet approachable menu it serves every taste, from fine steaks, such as prime and American Wagyu beef, to freshly made pasta, Italian antipasti, and Mediterranean seafoods including Italian crudi. Chef Beau MacMillan and Chef Peter McQuaid blend a European style of highly personalized, tableside service with contemporary Italian-inspired dining to create an unmistakable, convivial experience within the heart of North Scottsdale. The Americano's culinary vision shares the spotlight with an inventive cocktail program that is playful and intricately devised. The Americano also features a thoughtfully curated selection of 200 distinct wines from iconic, established and emerging Italian and American labels.     The food was a bit uneven — the pulp was flavorful and well done, while the tuna tartare lacked seasoning and felt flat. The salmon was fine but forgettable, and the king crab pasta stood out as the highlight of the meal. Overall, the experience felt overpriced for the quality. That said, the service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, with particularly good wine and desert recommendations.

    I was disappointed with the entrée I ordered my steak, medium rare and a steak came out cold and had absolutely no redness inside. Also, the sauce is tasted horribly. I will never come back again.

    The Americano never disappoints. The food is always amazing. The staff is fantastic and the ambiance is perfection. If you have not already tried The Americano, you are missing out!

    Was pretty noisy and the cost was more than what I would have valued for the food and delay given we arrived when it was slow. Waiter was nice and kept after drinks. I would go again but was pretty pricey

    Love the Americano especially for happy hour! Drunk Wifey is a great tequila drink. Bone in veal parm is also a must try for entree.

    Whenever we’re in Scottsdale for our annual getaway, dinner at The Americano is a must. We first found it years ago when the Four Seasons’ restaurant was under renovation—thankfully, they pointed us here, and we’ve never looked back. The seafood is unexpectedly excellent for the desert (the salmon and oysters never miss), and though I’m not much of a red meat eater, my steak-loving companions rave about their beef dishes. The wine list is superb—we’ve found some rare Italian reds that blew us away. Service is polished but never overbearing, and the space, while maybe ready for a mild decor refresh, remains comfortable and inviting. We always leave happy—and already planning our return.
