Average at best. Schnitzel was dry without the sauce, rosti potatoes were pasty and too thick to crisp up as expected. Cheese fondue and the complimentary birthday cake saved the night

We ordered the 3 course special. Our choices were just okay with barely any feta cheese in one of our salads with feta. The addition of mustard in the standard dish of Rouladin was totally unnecessary and basically "americanized". Took away the flavour of the original dish to actually taste the bacon and beef and pickle. Unfortunately, the restaurant looks very tired and certainly needs a good cleaning and some work. No padding in the seats in the booths, dirty and thread bare carpets, and it could definitely use a freshening up with some paint and a good airing out.

Had a wonderful lunch/dinner with the family the service was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were on the larger side, and was of great value for such great prices. Great place to eat for all ages.

The Alphorn Restaurant in Collingwood delivers a refreshingly original and eclectic experience, authentically capturing the spirit of a culturally Swiss establishment. We visited for breakfast, a less common time to explore such cuisine, but the menu remained diverse and true to the Swiss culinary tradition. I had the mushroom cheese omelette with rösti and toast — straightforward, unembellished, and exactly as described. Others in our party enjoyed poached eggs and the popular schnitzel and egg combo, which was a standout for its novelty at breakfast. A unique highlight was the server’s willingness to accommodate an unusual request for mashed potatoes and gravy — a testament to their excellent service. Pricing hovered around $15 per entrée, perhaps slightly above typical breakfast rates, though it may reflect the specialty nature of the cuisine. Including juices, coffee, and tip, our total for four came just under $100. While the food quality was fair, it’s important to note that breakfast may not be the most accurate representation of the full menu’s potential. The warm service and cultural charm of the space make me inclined to return, especially for a late lunch or dinner. Bonus points for having vegetarian (not vegan) options available, which pleased a few in our group.

Beer was flat and on a warm side. Microwaveable desserts should not be served. Great vibe though.

The restaurant sure is very unique and fun! The service was quick and friendly. We selected a beef stroganoff with spaetzle, and schnitzel with roesti (swiss style hashbrowns). The stroganoff was quite nice, not a big portion though. The schnitzel and roesti unfortunately were disappointing, not much flavor, the roesti too mushy on the inside. The black forest cake from a local bakery made up for it a little bit.
