The Allis is a public outlet located on the ground floor of Soho House Chicago set in a relaxed and welcoming social space for group dining, meetings, and date nights.

Serving modern European dishes drawing inspiration from British Brasseries along with classic and seasonal cocktails.

On Fridays through Sunday from 1pm to 4.30pm, we offer an elevated afternoon tea experience. Enjoy tea and Champagne paired with pastries and savory bites. Afternoon Tea is only available to book through the OpenTable experience.

Additionally, The Allis offers a traditional Sunday roast, served from 1 PM – 5 PM, at a price of $75 for 2 people. Reservations for the roast can be made through OpenTable or by calling the restaurant at 312-521-8000, walk-ins are also welcome.

The Allis Bar is named after the family that commissioned the restaurant's historic building in 1907 and features bar and patio seating.

Limited reservations open to the public Friday thru Sunday. Please note any allergies or dietary restrictions, not all allergies can be accommodated.                                                                 We visited for breakfast/brunch three times during our 1 week visit. The service was a little slow on one occasion but we loved it at The Allis. Would highly recommend.

                                                                We always wanted to have lunch at The Allis. The ambience was great and food really good. But our waitress was the worst. She had a terrible attitude, and has been one of the worst experiences we had. She treat me like ignorant when I asked if she can ask the kitchen to heat my soup, responding “well it’s supposed to be cold” like if we were talking of a Gazpacho! Which I mentioned was not the case. She ended leaving and after a long time, I decided to continue eating my cold soup…and I can go on and on in details of our experience. Really sad to see how a cool place, can have such terrible waitresses. I read multiple comments of different platforms and there are consistent with mine. Lastly, I found interesting that a hotel charging $600 per night has not done anything to fix this situation.

                                                                The Allis was exceptional. The blueberry ricotta pancakes were better than usual. I enjoyed the experience and the pastries, and the staff's thoughtful acknowledgment of my sister's birthday with a dessert was refreshing.

                                                                We went for afternoon tea and drove about 2 hours to experience a 65$ lackluster experience. They seat you in the lobby of the hotel where people with luggage and swim suites were walking in and out. The food and service were great but the placement and cost of the experience left a LOT to be desired. If you are looking for an upscale tea experience. Do not look here.

                                                                Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. I ordered Shasuka, it was very tasty. My husband ordered the avocado toast and truffle fries, both were good. The restaurant was unique in decor and seating, but I enjoyed both. There were many people in and out but it did not take away from my experience.

                                                                The aesthetics of this place are pleasant, and it is great for pictures and a nice yap session with the girls. However, the food is very substandard. We have been here once for an afternoon tea service and once for a group brunch. While the presentation was great, the afternoon tea offerings looked lifeless and did not taste fresh whatsoever. Our server was very pleasant and treated us with great care, which was appreciated. As for brunch, we were with a much bigger group, and once again food was just ok and leaning towards the blander side. Slices of toast were oozing oil, and eggs that a party member ordered were way overdone. The shakshouka is advertised as a vegetarian option; however, when my friend and I were upstairs, we noticed the slices of toast were cooked right next to meat products on the same grill. This was upsetting to see because both my friend and I are pork-free and saw bacon on the same grill as the bread that is being served with "vegetarian" meals. Again, even with a big group, the service was impeccable. Love the look and design of this place, and with a little more care for the preparation of the food, it could make dining here exceptional. I do believe more attention should be given to cross-contamination, especially if you are labeling items as vegetarian or vegan on a menu.
