The server forgot to put in 2 items in our order
Our waitress tried....venue is busy/chic...I was not impressed...
I like the Allis for the ambiance. Sometimes the food / staff is hit or miss with hot food and service respectively. I would recommend giving it a shot for lunch/brunch!
Clean, fun, and cozy atmosphere
Food didnt quite match the drinks and atmosphere. Appetizers much better than entrees. Steak frites very chewy and grainy. Fries were extra salty also. Very sub par for $27
The Allis is a nice date spot, with good drinks and a good ambiance. It is a cool setting that you'll enjoy.
The burrata was delicious! This place is becoming one of my go-tos. If you like pretty, hip, interesting interior design, it's worth checking out.
This is my second time here. Before I was pretty like this place since it's a good choice for hanging out with friends, spending afternoon time. This time is not very pleasant. There were tiny flies staying around our food all the time. But the staff there was acting like seeing nothing. It's a 60 bucks afternoon tea but they just can't make sure that we were staying in a clean and tidy place. If I could give a zero star I would.
We enjoyed half priced wine on a Monday night with a few shareable plates. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food!
Came here for an early brunch with girlfriends. Service was a bit slow but our server admitted she was new so we were patient. We were a little surprised that the “house pressed” juice was actually bottled juice and not freshly juiced. Would pass on that portion of the menu but the food and brunch mimosas were delicious! Will definitely come back.
I’ve been to the Allis before and the food has been absolutely delicious. On this visit I ordered crab toast and the Burrata. The crab was just so-so. I was seated on the less cozy lower level up against the front door so the ambiance was a bit lacking. Waitresses were nice but not at all attentive. That would have been my biggest criticism. I was there for 3 1/2 hours and the service was incredibly slow. Overall, it was fine but not on par with past visits.
The service was great however, the server assumed that my guest and I were not members which was a little mean but it’s cool. Great food and ambiance!!
Meh. It was ok. Wouldn’t return.
Unique setting in hotel lobby. Interesting lunch items, can be combined for set price. Great people watching locale.
The place is amazing, bright, and something that you don’t expect! I lived the floor, the big chandelier le on the roofs and and the general atmosphere. Me and my husband came here for brunch and we will definitely come back soon!
Top 3 worst service experiences ever. No one addressed us for 15 min upon arrival, and we had a reservation time we arrived early for. Once seated, it took 25 min to get afternoon tea and snacks. Beautiful place, but awful service and subpar food. Disappointing.
We sat outside and had a nice brunch. Everyone who works there is helpful and assist even if it is not the table they are waiting on. Definitely will be back
Food and ambience was great
we went for brunch early so that the patio was available and there was very little hassle. Our server Alina was helpful and attentive and she made some very good recommendations. I had the Allis breakfast with whole grain bread (which is baked by them). All the components of this dish were done perfectly and the result was a pleasant start to my day. My wife had the smoked salmon bagel. The lox for her dish and mine was some of the tastiest and fresh I have ever had and they do not skimp on quantity. This place is on notice for our repeat visit.
I arrived early and after sitting for 30 minutes without a waiter stopping by, I went to the bar to get my own drink. At 4:30, I went inside to the bar to get my 2nd drink because the waiter still had not stopped by. While at the bar, I asked to close my tab, and the waiter who should’ve been serving me asked if I was sitting outside to which the bartender serving me and I both said yes. As I waited for my guest to arrive, the couple sitting next to me began to comment on how strange it is that they got served and I didn’t. At about 5:15 p.m. the waitress stopped by the couple’s table, and never stopped by mine. When my guest arrived at 5:30 p.m. she still didn’t check on us. At 5:45 p.m. we both begged for someone to take order. This dismissive behavior continued the entire evening until we left at 10 p.m. while the table that was sitting next to us got full attention. This left the people who were sitting next to us baffled. And while this awful service was extreme, poor service is a consistent issue at The Allis since it opened.
Salmon sensation. I’ve always enjoyed the all day breakfast, but $17 dollars for 2 eggs, salmon, a tomato and 1 slice of toast is too high.
So good! I loved the decor the food was amazing! One of the best almond milk lattes I’ve ever had!
Very nice staff and charming atmosphere
Prompt service and tasty food and drinks
We arrived for our reservation (during our honeymoon) and were told to sit and wait. We sat on a crowded couch for 20 mins and weren’t offered a water even though we were dying of thirst. They finally came to seat us and handed us a regular menu which was of no help because we were there for afternoon tea (they didn’t ask). We were seated at a wobbly table without water where we waited again for 15 mins while everyone around us was happily eating. We finally flagged down a bus boy for water and after he poured we waited for another 10 minutes without being acknowledged by a server. Finally we walked out and went to shake shack where we were served a great meal with great service for way less $$. Horrible experience.
Came here for breakfast on a Friday morning and it was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed after an early morning flight. Delicious food for great value! The space itself is also beautiful, making it a wonderful experience
I go here all the time, for different types of work and personal events/meetings. My biggest complaint is that it feels like the wait staff is trained to leave the tables alone for long periods of time. I am constantly chasing them down for the bill or any additional things we might need or want to order. It is bizarre bc it's like this with everyone, which is why I think that is how they train folks. Great place overall, but this aspect makes the experience frustrating at times.
Lovely afternoon tea in a relaxed, artsy lounge at Soho House. Excellent tea, great sweets & interesting cocktails.
Beautiful place, and a surprisingly great happy hour! Also they have live music on Tuesdays!
My daughter and I came for afternoon tea after going wedding dress shopping! The tea service was beautifully presented and delicious.
The food was great! Got the Salmon tower and it was a huge amount of food. Our service is what lacked. She never asked if we wanted refills and ignored us most the time. We tried to get her attention but she would just walk by quickly. I would have had a couple drinks if we could have gotten her attention.
I had a good time thanks to you!!!! Everything was so cute!!!!
I truly don’t know who they think they are. It might be “SoHo House” but it’s mediocre. Totally average but with humongous ego. Service was terrible and the food was nothing special. Not coming back.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Server was lacking. Took forever to check out then she said she could either split it or just tell her what each bill would be. So she clearly wasn’t paying attention to our table. She was by for the worst part of this place.
Great space! Loved the decor and it was a good noise level - perfect for conversation. Only downside was the service was slow. We would have ordered more drinks if he came by more! We also ordered something on the special menu price that was supposed to be $9 but it was $15 on our bill. We had been there for so long and it was so slow to get his attention, we didn’t think it was worth it to try and get it adjusted. So it was a good experience overall, just needs more attentive service.
Usually a really good brunch place, but was really underwhelmed the most recent time I went. We had a reservation but weren't seated until 20-25 minutes past, and only after we asked. After we got our food, we weren't given cutlery until we had to ask for that as well.
Perfect lunch spot. Tasty food in reasonable portions with gracious service.
Yes, Yes, Yes!! Amazing food! Great Service! Beautiful Atmosphere!
We will be back!
The parking should have been validated if you are eating at the restaurant.
We went for a work team outing and had a pretty terrible experience. We were seated in the lobby of the hotel vs. in the restaurant, it took us about 15 minutes to be greeted, another 30+ minutes to get our drinks and then we had to ask to place and order for appetizers and again for dinner. Our server was completely aloof, the vibe was terrible and while the food was okay... it was already a tainted experience and I will never return.
And also... when you make your reservation on OpenTable they ask if you want cookies. I said sure, that's kinda cool that they do that. Well then we didn't get them. When I asked the server seemed super frustrated and said we could only get two (there were five of us) and that she has no way of knowing that we marked yes to the cookies on our reservation. It was the silliest thing... that we would have never cared about... but the way she handled was totally inappropriate. The cookies did finally come, and everyone loved them. But that was just weird.
