As always the food and service was excellent with a wonderful pianist and nice atmosphere the Alley never lets us down.
Poor service, food took forever and they weren’t even busy. Steak was ok. Ok is never how I want to describe a steak.
We had to be at a 6PM concert and drove in to town. If I hadn’t looked at the web, I would never have gone it. The only real eye catcher on the street says Bowling Alley. We went in and the alley was new and clean, and the restaurant was upstairs. Wee walked up and it was immediately apparent somebody knew what they were doing with wood, wire ,contrast, and top floor of original brick with a bar and small stage.
The waitress happened to be headed to grad school in oboe—which means she is into details. We told her of our time constraint and we were out on time, but also had a chance to dance to the Jazz Standards being played live.
Murray? Who knew?
The service was very very slow. We had children with us and it was hard to keep them happy while waiting on our meal. The food was delicious. I was disappointed that Todd took so many breaks or it seemed so - maybe bc the service was slow.
Piano player great little loud if sitting
Close food excellent
Wonderful atmosphere, top notch service, delicious food, we will be back!!!
I thought the flavor of the prime ribeye left a bit to be desired. It was a good cut of meat, but I tasted a bit more char than steak. Maybe it was a seasoning problem, though I’m not sure. The steak I had the last time I was there almost 2 years ago was sublime, but I just couldn’t say that about this one.
Glass had a chip on it - had to send drink back. One of the meals had shells still on the shrimp - it was a pasta meal. Ribeye was grizzly. Filet was good.
Steaks were delicious and cream spinach is a must have. Wonderful atmosphere with piano/singing made for a great evening. Lindsay was our waitress and she was THE best!! Will request her when we dine there, again.
We are regulars. The food is always good. We love when Todd Hill is performing and Matt is a great server. Beautiful atmosphere.
Good food and atmosphere. Server could have been a tad more attentive, but overall a very good experience.
Pretty neat place. Food was pretty good but service was excellent. Bathrooms were immaculate. It was cool to have a good meal and then go bowling
Was celebrating 60th birthday and did not get a greeting or a comp dessert, ordered a dessert, received our check before the dessert waited over 10 minutes ,no dessert, complained and they removed the price for 2 desserts when we only ordered one. Then we left the building only to find that someone blocked us in the parking lot!!! Waited for over 15 minutes before whomever moved their car, they didn't even tell anyone. Enough!
Very enjoyable evening overall. Service was slow, we got our app just before our main course, and the app was cold and not very good. We had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips. We did not eat our app since our main course had already arrived. The main course was great and very good, we had the filet and ribeye. AS stated overall the evening, meal, atmosphere was great and we will go back, but if any improvement could be made it would be in the service area,
Things was our first visit. The ambience was great, the wait staff fantastic, the food delicious! But the time it took to serve our main dish was slow. That's why I'm giving them a 4 for total experience. That being said, we didn't mind because we were able to visit, enjoy the live dinner music and just relax. And, we will definitely be back! Kudos to Matt, our waiter. He wad great!
Great atmosphere and service along with excellent steaks. Perfect place for date night
We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for food. Steak (Med. rare) was charred to the point of tasting terrible. Surf option scallops were tough and cold. We were sat too close to the piano and we’re unable to enjoy conversation over dinner. This was the second and last time we will visit the Alley. We went when they first opened and attributed the negative experience to the restaurant being newly opened. Our tab was $147.00 for two people, Cocktails included.
Wonderful meal. The service was great and timely considering it was Valentine’s Day.
We were seated overlooking the bowling alley. A bit cool there. Service was a little slow, but it was Valentines evening. We will be back.
We come here every Valentine’s Day. And every single time we LOVE it. The food is always delicious and the service is prompt but not overly hovering and it’s perfect for our big “treat yourself” date night!
Outstanding food with a great atmosphere 10/10! I would recommend this place to anyone.
This was my birthday dinner. My husband order the cowboy steak and ordered it medium. When our food came my husbands steak was burnt on both sides. He sent it back by the time his food came back I had finished my lobster so he took it to go. We were not offer desert but they did adjust the bill so we were only charged half for the steak. This was the first time we had had a bad steak.
Restaurant had two large parties and once they were seated our waitress was MIA. Did not have mint or vermouth for drinks. When asked about our entree they were brought out but presentation was terrible and food did not taste good shrimp was rubbery.. Salmon was charred not blackened. Noodles and veggies looked like they had sat under warming light for way too long. Manager came over and we told him it was not good. He comped our food. Won’t be back anytime soon. Unfortunate since this restaurant is the only one of its type in town. Have to drive 1-2 hours to find something similar. Had takeout at Applebee’s night before and food was so much better than at this upscale place.
This was our first time at The Alley. We chose it for our Anniversary dinner, which I posted on Open Table when I booked. We walked through a large room that was maybe 1/4 full before being seated at a very back table in a separate room overlooking the bowling alley. Not a very nice spot. I had the lobster tails. They were really tough and not good. My husband’s swordfish was mediocre. We had ordered the cheddar garlic mashed potatoes, which were very lukewarm. After complaining, they brought out a new bowl, but again, just lukewarm with not much flavor. When the waiter asked how our food was, we both said mediocre at best. They deducted 10% off of our bill. We were not trying to get a discount, just telling the truth. It was not a good experience, and we do not plan to go back.
Wonderful evening at the Alley. Food, ambience, service all excellent and we enjoyed the extremely talented Todd Hill’s musicality!!
We had the Prime Rib and bone in ribeye both were excellent both were cooked as ordered! Service was outstanding, wine selection could be a little better.
The sides were also great
One, if not my favorite, steak places in Western KY. My ribeye was off the chain! Celebrated my wife’s birthday and they took care of her and made her feel very special. No doubt will make the 50 min drive to go there again. Worth every mile of travel to get quality food and service in a beautiful setting.
This is a fine dining restaurant which we were unaware of. It is above the bowling alley. Since we took our grandkids bowling, we thought we would try it. We were way under dressed for this restaurant. But the food and staff were great!
Our group was very satisfied with the atmosphere, the food, the service and the entertainment. All members of the party said that they would be back. This was the second trip for three of us and the first trip for the other two. On our first trip, we were very surprised to find a place that nice at a bowling alley.
This was definitely a great experience.
We were a party of 6 on New Year’s Eve at 8:00. We were seated in a semi private room with 3 other tables. I should expect some noise but the one table beside us had some very loud people that lasted for about 30 minutes of our dinner. Four of our party said that they were pleased with their food. The quality was good but my steak was over cooked and arrived to my table cold as did my baked potato. My wife’s pasta was cold and was dried out on the edges. I do not think that it was made fresh but if it was, it was left under the heating light too long but still arrived to the table cold. The salmon was prepared as ordered and appeared to be relatively fresh as were the salads. The manager did come by the table at the end of the meal to check on our experience. I did not say anything about our concerns of the experience as we on our way to a party and I did no want to ruin our mood. Overall, average for the price on the evening that we dined.
New Years Eve dinner
For the price, food was not as expected. Crab Alfredo does not actually have ANY crab in it; it’s only crab flavored Alfredo and pasta. Pork chop was incredibly dry and tough. Veggies were very salty. Salad not included with entrees. Service was excellent. Seating was swift. Long wait for food.
Meat was a little overcooked but very good otherwise
Our waiter Matt was great.
Food coordination from
Kitchen was HORrIBLE.! Again!!
We were in side room, by window--a little chilly and couldn't hear music. Main room is nicer. I ordered steak medium well and was more like well-done. Husband ordered medium and it was medium/well. But service was great and steaks were still delicious!
Food was very good. They were very business the night we were there it took a while for our food to arrive. We were given free desserts to compensate for the long wait. We’ll be back.
Seated by the bar for my 94 year old mother in laws bday. Asked to be moved 2x and hostess ignored us.
It took over an hour after we ordered to receive our meals.
Management should have come to the table and apologize for that long of a delay.
Worst restaurant experience ever. Over 2 hours to get good. They were out of bread, baked potatoes, mash potatoes and no they were not busy. Worst waitress ever. Over 30 minutes to get drinks. Good was not cooked properly. Will never return
We had reservations and when we got there, they had no clue. They proceeded to seat us in with a large party in the very back at a two seater. It was very loud. The bread came out and was burnt. We waited an hour and a half to get our steaks and they were both overcooked. We did not complain because at this point we were just ready to leave. The waitress offered us dessert to go because of how long we had to wait to get our meal. Very poor and would not recommend, especially for the price.
