Fried fresh haddock served with house tartar sauce on a bed of crispy hot fries
Thankfully we enjoyed the company and the ambiance because the food was just okay and the service was fair. Our server was a little overwhelmed when we were very seated, and a bit distracted for the remainder of our dinner. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if we’ll return.
Was Veterans Day and we were very surprised that there wasn’t a special for veterans. 🤷♀️
The wait staff was friendly and made it possible to have a good birthday dinner
You are always guaranteed a good meal here with good service.
The food was good, I liked the selection of tacos for Taco Tuesday. I was rather annoyed when we realized the bowl for the guacamole was filled in with lettuce on the bottom. I'd rather just have a smaller bowl so I know how much guac I was actually served. It's disappointing to realize the half bowl of guac you thought you had left is actually almost empty.
Had a fantastic brunch here this weekend. Food was great and the bottomless mimosa/Bellini/Bloody Mary bar was very cool.
Has plenty of outdoor space, including umbrellas for sun and heaters for colder weather.
As always, we enjoy our Tuesday date nights at the Ale House. The sliders and tacos never disappoint, and Madison our server is great. We now ask to be seated in her section. Looking forward to next Tuesday.
The food and service here is great. It’s not always the cleanest place in the world but that’s my only complaint.
Just a bad experience. Initial greeting and subsequent drink delivery was terribly slow. Food was lackluster. Fish and Chips were warm and not crispy. Tex Mex Rolls were the highlight. Likely be a while until we come back.
Really good food, lots of options. Service was fantastic!
The staff is always great. The food is quite good, and happy hour specials are great.
Everything was fantastic minus service. We got seated an no waitress came. I had to ask someone passing by who was cleaning a table if they could serve us. They said oh you're not in my zone but hey I'll serve you it's okay.
We’ve been a few times now and the food and service doesn’t seem to get better or worst…it’s about average. Although the place was low capacity, service took a while. We did get to sit outdoors; that was a good thing as it was kick-off Sunday and were concerned with being inside with the crowd.
We will return, but it will be a time when we’re not looking for great, but rather a quiet place, decent meal and time and space to talk.
Great food and atmosphere. Always a great time when grabbing a pint and food with friends on their patio.
Food was great,server was awesome
This is our go-to place since Clyde's left Columbia.
Had a lovely evening our server was attentive but not pushy. Food and bevs were great.
Can’t go wrong with a classic burger. Great service as well
My fire d is moving to Arizona
Food is fresh; service attentive. Great choice for casual dining experience.
The few things I wanted were out of stock but what I ended up getting was ok
Quality of the food was mediocre. Beer selection was good. Server was very nice. Price of food was a bit high for the quality and portions.
Our waiter, Alex, I think, was excellent. Food was delicious; my husband and I both got burgers, and they were cooked just right. And, the sweet potato fries were addictive! We brought friends who had never been to Ale House, and they both enjoyed their meals — blackened chicken pasta and tacos. We will be back!
We recommend the PEAR SALAD with Grilled SALMON, the 🍔 BURGERS, MAC & CHEESE, and BMORE BREAKFAST Nitro.
This was def a great first time experience. Food was delicious! The great experience started at the front door with the hospitality staff and our waiter was awesome.
Will be returning in the near future!
Wait staff were friendly and accomadating to my 2 daughters with intellectual disabilities. Food is consistently good.
The Ale House brunch is amazing. Great food and drinks. They have bottomless mimosas, bellini’s and bloody mary’s. Great place for a date or with friends.
The first thing we noticed upon entering this restaurant was the raucous private party happening in the dining room; it made for an exciting and noisy dining experience. The food here is generally reliable, but this time we were disappointed. My carnitas mac and cheese had a bone (or something as hard as a bone) in the dish, and my son's corn dog was burnt to a crisp. Moreover, my daughter's pasta (made for children) was topped with semi-spicy marinara. She wouldn't eat any of it given the spice. The happy hour special was enticing - $6 cocktails. The draft list is awesome. The service was great in certain aspects and poor in others. Our server (admittedly new) didn't know much about the menu and was relatively attentive, but the runners were very helpful. One stopped by our table various times to ask how we were doing.
Very happy with brunch at The Ale House. Table was ready on time. Service from Joey was great. Wish there were scrambled eggs on the menu. Only bad thing was sour blueberries in the fruit cup. We'll be back.
Visiting for boys lacrosse tourney. We were told they could not take a reservation for a group of 18-20. Even splitting the group up. So we Made several different reservations. Upon arrival another party arrived with a reservation for 14 while we were checking in! So thinking it couldn’t hurt to ask, I explained our situation. The hostess was wonderful (or maybe she was a manager- I’m not sure)! First, she was surprised we had been told upon calling the day before that a large party reservation was not allowed. But she calmly and efficiently got us 2 tables for 6 and 2 tables for 4 in close proximity at the same time. Wonderful. Everyone was seated and served without a glitch. Wait staff was polite and efficient. Drinks came out quickly and food was served shortly afterward. They also accommodated separate checks according to each kids jersey number. Seamless, good food great fun. Everything was awesome not an easy feat when serving hungry teenagers and travel weary adults. Well done!
Steak was burnt and fries were cold. The food was not good! I had a much better experience last year. What happened Alehouse?
Reservations were easy to make. Seating was spacious at the booth. They also had outside options. Music videos were playing and I enjoyed the music - R&B. Service was good - our server had just started his second day and he did everything right! He came and checked on us frequently after we had our food and asked us how things tasted. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.
It was a birthday occasion. We truly enjoyed ourselves. There was great food and great atmosphere.
The ambiance the music and the food was great until a customer came in with her enormous giant white dog whom she couldn't control
Burgers and beer were great!! Server was very nice, but a bit forgetful at time’s.
Not as good as usual.. Served the wrong drinks twice and served a salad that they didn’t take the cheese off as requested. Served food with no silverware and we had to wait quite a while to get some. No offered refills on water.
Thomas was terrific as our waiter - never missed a beat and was on top for everything
Crispy chicken was very good & tender - fish & chips was wonderful - perfectly fried & a big piece.
Thanks for the very nice lunch!
We had very bad service. Our server was not attentive, our food was cold, several times we had to inquire about when our drinks would be coming from the bar. Our food came out before our beer and smoked Manhattan (two fair easy drinks to pour).
Food and Beer choices at Ale House of Columbia were pretty good. Service could've been a little better as it seemed a little slow. Our waitress was training a new waitress, so that could've slowed things down a little.
