This is the best high end restaurant in Evanston. Wonderful food. Always a great soup. The foie gras and the goat cheese tart are outstanding! Highly recommended!

What a disappointment. No mention was made of our milestone anniversary - which was noted on our Open Table reservation and VERBALLY by me when I received the confirmation phone call. Our server seemed to be in a hurry to not deal with us, asking how things were over his shoulder as he was walking away. Our plates of food were lovely, and plopped down with no description at all. I think that $52 for a small plate of risotto is highway robbery. All the portions were small and over priced. I wish that I had celebrated my anniversary at the famous hot dog franchise that is Chicago's local pride and joy. I always feel "seen" and appreciated there. And we would have saved about $200. Honestly, I could cry, I am so very disappointed.

A valued experience. Total sense of elegance in a quiet environment, yet comfortable even casual, like being in afriend's very large home. Smll well chosen menu. we enjoyed perfect scallops, tender octopus, silken duck breast, eaqch supplemented by a perfect sauce, and other appropriate vegatables colors. Eleganr bread, which you have to ask for, was the only fault I can find, it was absooutely required to help to fully enjoy the sauces. A show off desert of many flavors and colors based on the richest chocolate. By no means an inexpensive dinner, but a meal of superb value. Service is perfect, patient, literate, very well informed.

The worst service ever. Sat for an hour and didn’t get our appetizers. The server was very inconsiderate and dint even bother claiming the chef got too busy when there were less than 20 people in the restaurant. Will never go back.

The food is remarkably fresh and tasty at this restaurant, which is tucked away underneath the railroad tracks in Evanston. Its decor is tasteful and the noise level is quite quiet, a nice change from most restaurants. it is my current favorite restaurant in the northern suburbs.
