Great food and drinks from the brunch menu and our server was amazing!
Showed up on time for reservation with a party of 4, was told to wait for a table since a number of large parties had just left. Waited for 5-10 minutes and were then seated. Music was loud and wait staff was nowhere to be seen. 30 minutes later and still no one had takes to us, nor had our order been taken. We got up to leave and the hostess who seated us said “Thanks guys!” as we walked out, seemingly so oblivious that she didn’t remember seating us a short while before. Save your time and money and go somewhere else for a good burger.
Loved the food, music was amazing with the dj inside taking request.
Went in for burgers and drinks. Hostess was polite but the service was quite bad. My drink was incorrect and had to wait 12 minutes for replacement, the wrong food item was delivered but didn’t even bother asking for it to be fixed after waiting 10 minutes to be checked on by our server. We didn’t receive utensils or napkins before or after receiving our food, had to ask. Cocktails were alright but priced as high as some of the much better cocktail bars in the area and 90% ice. Would not recommend.
Everything was great except they didn’t have enough serving staff. The server was doing his best but was the only one on call.
Amazing. I loved the food and the customer service.
Brunch service was terrible - our server was apparently (in his words) “covering the entire restaurant”. Food order arrived wrong, from wrong sides, to the wrong dish completely. one guest had to have their meal made “on the fly” while the rest of our party enjoyed their meals and finished before her’s arrived.
In between taking tequila shots with a nearby table, our server would FINALLY remember we existed and offer to refill our bottomless carafe or waters. How sweet of him to take the time from chillin with his buddies.
There was a basketball game on during brunch which was fine except for the atmosphere became much more sportsbar with your fraternity brother hooting and hollering - so check game schedules before reserving. If you’re looking for something gram-able though the Ainsworth checks the box for unclean dusty faux-vine wall and neon light sign... which probably was cool in LA 5-8 years ago.
If you want to use the restroom by the way make sure and bring a flashlight and some wet wipes. Sticky floors and surfaces in all black poorly lit cubicles. Disgusting.
If you are an early 20 something who loves overpaying on Mommy and Daddy’s cc then this spot is for you. If you’re an adult who enjoys good environment, good food and 20% service... pick anywhere but here.
Food and service was really good
I made a reservation here for my boyfriend’s 21 and let me say it did NOT disappoint. We went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ playing really good music the entire night. The waiter was amazing and always refilled our water glass when he saw it getting low without even asking. I’m not sure what his name was but he just had the biggest smile and seemed like he really cared we were having a good time. The ambiance was great there was red lighting and it gave off club vibes and the food was amazing as well. We ordered a lot for the whole table and every dish like the truffle Mac and cheese chips and Guac nachos 24k wings etc. was absolutely delicious. The only thing I will say is that when my boyfriend and I walked up to enter the restaurant there was a security guard standing there and said it was only 21 plus so he was checking ID’s before we came in and I’m not 21 yet so I explained that when I made the reservation it didn’t mention the restaurant was 21 plus. He brought over the hostess and she let us in but warned me not to drink any of my bf’s drink or she would have to ask us to leave. It was a great experience overall and my boyfriend and his friends really enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend and come back here again!
The food wasn’t great but the atmosphere is the reason to go. The drinks are very sugary, not my favorite
I had an awesome time for my birthday. The hostess was awesome. Thank you for the service.
Food was very good. I had the skirt steak and it was prepared exactly to my liking. Others in my party also enjoyed their meals. Service was great. The ambiance was nicely established by the spacing among guests. The Music from DJ was load. Hard to talk. This place had nice seating inside and some outdoor seating as well. I suspect this place is missing the crowd that would welcome load DJ music. It now transitioned into a sports bar feel. Overall ok place with good food.
We wanted to watch a basketball game but the music was SO loud that we bailed. Seriously? Why did it have be so loud? How do people talk to one another when it is so loud? This is not a real sports bar, it feels more like a club with food and lots of TVs. Go around the corner to the nice Irish pub on 6th Ave.
Drinks were weak, food was mediocre, noise level was super-loud and it was impossible to level our table so it teetered the entire time. Would not recommend.
We walked in and our eardrums practically burst from the noise. I had to shout at the top of my lungs from the noise. Additionally with masks on it was impossible to hear anyone clearly. We were lucky enough to get an outdoor table but it was ruined by an aggressive NON MASK WEARING homeless man who harassed us several times at our table. There were no employees out there policing their outdoor space so I had to finally go inside to get someone to deal with it. Absolutely never again.
Love it here, the drinks, the music, the decor, the food everything was great! The service/ hostess amazing!!
The restaurant was nice and very energetic. We enjoyed dinner during March Madness and we had brunch her the next days. Manager was nice and continued to check on us. Wait staff was busy and didn’t check on us or take our order quick enough where we were there for dinner and drinks.
The waiter wasn’t wearing his mask when approaching our table
Unsafe a lot of maskless people wandering
It would have been nice to have been able to order off the lunch menu since it was 2pm.
They weren’t open-so very disappointing! Had to find another restaurant
Went here before the Eagles concert. We waited long for service and the waitress said she was brought in from another location. She didn't seem to know the menu. Drinks took forever and the place was very loud with bad music.
The manager was very nice and responsive and changed the tv to our choice.
Overall...….it was okay. Very young crowd and loud since the bar is in the middle.
Gold wings were pretty descent the mimosas weren’t strong at all I know that’s not the whole idea but I felt as though we were drinking orange juice for 2 hours
Perfect place to have a chill birthday dinner. Waiter was attentive and made sure my medium sized party was well taken care of. Good music, great drinks, and amazing food at a good price in the city. Would definitely recommend a friend to go!
There is the hype surrounding the Ainsworth due to the Gold dipped wings they serve. My husband enjoys novelties like this so we went there for our anniversary. (At 65 dollars for 10 wings, this was supposed to be one of our enjoyable dining experiences) Sadly, it was a waste of money and dining experience, being that we were in the city we could have hit up virtually any other restaurant and would have an infinitely better experience. The wings are absolutely disgusting. They were soggy and the flavor was really off. The sauce didn't taste like any other wing sauce I could compare it to and it had a metallic aftertaste. We ate two, we really tried considering how expensive it was but they were so gross. The restaurant would not comp the order; they gave us a round of drinks instead. Our server was very apologetic, apparently, they get frequent complaints on the wings. I should have read the reviews first and saved myself the trouble but I am hopeful that you are reading mine and do not make the same mistake I did.
We had a terrible experience. They did not have our reservation when we arrived, but did seat us. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone came to take a drink order and then another 15 minutes before someone different came to take our food order. Food and service were both not good!
Our waitress was amazing! She was super attentive and great with my food allergies. The food itself was just ok. I got the salad with skirt steak which I enjoyed, but it was a bit on the smaller side. My boyfriend had a burger with fried Mac and cheese and he really did not like his meal. Too much cheese and Mac and cheese (we never thought we’d say that). It was just overkill. He took most of the cheese off, but the burger was nothing to write home about. My boyfriend is easily pleased when it comes to food but this is the first time we have gone out and he was unhappy with his meal.
Comfortable and spacious bar / restaurant. Although a small menu all choices were delicious (quesadilla, pulled pork sandwich and Chelsea burger) Looking forward to returning.
Food was good and portions were huge. I asked for more cheese on the salad which was brought to me at no charge which was nice. Lots of screens to watch sport, great Christmas decorations and fun beanbag game.
Great for sports watching. But the server was too busy texting to ever check on us.
Really disappointed with recent dinner. Food below average - never have seen smaller buffalo wings - better off with frozen wings from Costco. Service apathetic - everything was a chore it seems. Nobody paid much attention at all or asked how our food was. Very disappointing as we have been coming to Ainsworth before MSG events for many years. They have really fallen off their game.
The food was fantastic and the hostess was very sweet. The music was so loud, I truly felt like I was at a club. They appeared to be understaffed because the waitress said she was working both the front room and the back room where we were seated, so the service was slow.
Love the Ainsworth but we made a reservation, paid for the $30 cab ride only to show up for the “closed for a private event” sign on the door. Little heads up next time would be great. Roll tide.
Took my boyfriend because he wanted that mac and cheese burger. We had a great time. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the food was great. There was a slight error with my food because of my food allergies but i end up getting the Chicken Ceasar Flatbread and it was Amazingly Great!!! I would definitely come back!
While it is advertised as a sports bar, not a place I would recommend to watch games. They need to decide what their brand is going to be - sports bar or party bar. Whatever it decides, fine, but you can't be both.
The food was great but the service was awful. Waited 20 minutes just to get water. Waited another 20 to get our food. Our meals arrived before our appetizers. Overall a disappointing experience.
Amazing, that burger and customer service was phenomenal going back there again!!!!
Went to the Ainsworth with friends for dinner. The food, drinks & service were all great. Only downside is that it’s always insanely loud inside that you have to shout to hear each other.
My friend and I went to try the gold chicken wings, it was delicious. The ambiance was also great the only thing was that we had to keep getting up to get our waitress. Other than that I would definitely come back again.
