   There is not much choice. Bar or buffet. Fish and chicken were both dry Beef was good. Sides were not exactly popular items. Succatash, really! How about some mashed potatoes! Not worth the price. Wine list was fine, but half were not available. Better to postpone your visit until the Grand Dining Room is remodeled.

   I have been to the Ahwahnee many times before. It was always a magical experience. Dinner this evening was on a par with an average wedding buffet. Nothing special. Service was indifferent. I hope they will up their game after construction is complete

   Initially skeptical about the idea of a buffet. But, the food quality was exceptional as was the variety.

   I got sick after dinner. I believe the shrimp was off but I’m not sure most of the food was kept at a food safe temperature.

   The dining room was still closed for renovation, a fact we were informed about just a few days before our trip, so there was a buffet arrangement in another part of the ground floor. The room was cold and the meal only fair. We were there for three nights and there was little variation. We felt the meal was overpriced given the situation. The staff, however, were attentive and tried their best.

   I would eat before you come😝 the dining room is being remodeled and the temporary buffet is not at all good. In general, all the food in Yosemite needs an upgrade. Although, they do have a Starbucks 👍

   Having read prior reviews which described unsatisfactory dining experiences we expected that corrections would have been made however we experienced the same shortcomings of cold food, unsatisfactory food quality and less than stellar service due to understaffing during our dinner on 10/31/23.

   The Ahwahnee dining room is closed for kitchen repair. Would have liked to know this in advance. Dinner is being served in the Solarium and surrounding space and is a buffet. While okay, this was not the dining experience we expected.

   The dining room is under renovation, so in lieu of the usual table service, the Ahwahnee is offering a dinner buffet. The quality did not match the $60 pp price. They are trying to make the best of things, but they did not pull it off. The vegetables were cold and the service was patchy. Instead try the food at the bar or at the lovely Mountain Room at Yosemite Lodge. Our previous experiences in the dining room (w table service) were great. Too bad. I hope the renovation is completed soon.

    Excellent food and professional service. Prime rib and polenta were notable. Beautiful, Historic Arts and Crafts setting.
