    Incredible dining room servers were very friendly and helpful. Food choices on buffet were excellent with great preparation and flavor.

    Beautiful historic hotel. It is undergoing construction, which put a damper on our experience. We were seated at a table next to a large window that was boarded up, so we had no view of the outside. They currently only have a buffet dinner. It was very limited on choices and the food was average at best. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Skip the dinner and pop in to see the hotel until the construction project is completed. On a side note, the website was adamant that a dress code would be strictly enforced. The people ahead of us were immediately seated wearing jean shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes.

    The food was delicious. The ambience was ok. Very different experience between buffet and a sit down dining experience. The views are pretty but nothing that you can’t see from a regular walk around the park. Very much disliked that as a paying customer at the restaurant who spent over $200 that they would not provide the WiFi password so we could call family - apparently they only provide it to hotel guests and there is zero service in or around the restaurant/hotel without it. Overall, would suggest friends/family skip it.

    The restaurant is buffet style right now. The prime rib was fine but nothing exceptional in the food quality for the money spent. Deserts were mostly tasteless.

    It was a buffet. You pay that much I expected table service. Food was excellent! Our waitress seemed to have a lot of trouble keeping up with drink orders. Ahwahnee dining room is a special place!

    Great dining room and setting. Menu is very limited and the buffet is mediocre. The Ahwahnee is not near to its excellence of olden day or even more recent history. We cancelled all subsequent dining room reservations at the Ahwahnee Hotel.

    The food at the Ahwahnee has gone downhill. For dinner, only a buffet was available, and it was only average in terms of the food choices and preparation. Years ago the food at the Ahwahnee was wonderful and special. That is no longer the case. Being in the magnificent dining room is always a treat, however, even with earthquake work covering parts of the windows. The service was excellent.
