The menu seemed far more limited than we recall when they were located at the Tacoma Mall area. However, we understand there are a great many difficulties trying to operate with all the Covid and labor issues. Our food was fine, just an awkward delay of our entrees after our appetizer & soups. We did find our specialty cocktails not particularly good.
Interesting menu , food was great.
Ambience and service the best.
We sat inside, but the patio looked inviting as well.
Kind of a long drive from our home but we’ll worth it.
Nice variety of food choices, and our entire party was very pleased with their choices. Food was promptly served hot, was very tasty and in full portions. Service was pleasant, helpful and responsive. It was the first time here for all of us and I look forward to returning.
The food had no seasoning and was very bland.
The waitress was very nice and attentive.
As a vegetarian, I found min. to my pallet. We were able to modify entree but it wasn't special.
I love the Adriatic Grill. It has heart and soul.
My first time experience was superb. Everyone in our group of four experienced some great food and conversation in a very nice setting looking out over a beautiful setting. All of us will be back, I’m sure!
The food was excellent and the service outstanding. A memorable special occasion dinner with friends.
Our server was less than attentive and my one person meal with appetizer and 2 drinks came to over $70. I should have been more attentive to my order but that’s pricey for a family type restaurant. Regretfully my $28 salmon was over cooked and dry. I’m rethinking my decision about coming back.
So happy to be back at the Adriatic! Great food, as always and a great view of the golf course.
The Bruschetta was out of this world! Our server David was top notch! All the food we ordered, top sirloin, strawberry salad and chop chop salad was delicious as were the drinks :-)
The service was very slow. While the servers were friendly, they took a long time between visits to our table and the restaurant was virtually empty. The food was very expensive. There were two of us and we each had a salmon sandwich (small piece of salmon and one iced tea and it cost us $50 for lunch.
Excellent brunch dining experience. We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch, consisting of Bloody Marys, a unique Eggs Benedict and amazing BLT, with egg. Well done. Great venue, first class service and wonderful meals.
Everything we had was great!! Appetizers, drinks, entrees, salads. Every single dish was even better than they already were at the original Adriatic. The setting outdoors was relaxing and peaceful. A great evening. We took our kids and they enjoyed it too. I highly recommend a visit soon.
Only a few other tables occupied during our visit. Hostess was very friendly and seated us. Server was friendly and attentive with good recommendations. Enjoyed our meal very much, although the rigatoni and lasagna seemed a little too salty.
Adriatic used to be one of our favorite places to eat in Tacoma, but that location apparently went belly up. When we heard of the new place, we thought, “thank God, they’re back!”
Well, they’re definately NOT back, not by a long shot. The “ambience” is diner-chic. The food was a step above Applebees, several steps below Adriatic. The wait-staff was both uninspiring and uninspired, and seemed to want us out of there asap. Their location makes one thank God for the age of the GPS, and if you don’t have one, good luck! Then there was the stomach/GI problems we both had that evening into the next day (will spare you the details!) Not going back anytime soon, which is such a shame as we went to the other location regularly, and loved it each time!
What a huge disappointment! :-(
Of course the atmosphere is wonderful setting with the patio and golf course. The food was delicious as the menu showed and nicely presented. Drinks were great as well. The staff were also pleasant and attentive. Will definitely return.
Great service friendly staff.
Chef Bill's food was delicious! Service was slow and inattentive, but courteous. Bartender was extremely slow. Because the food was SO good, I can still recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.
Great food, amazing server, outdoor seating was lerfect
So great to be back at the Adriatic and ordering some of the great menu items. There are so many of my favorites I feel like I should go overnight for 2 weeks to have them all. One of my very favorite restaurants in Tacoma. It has a beautiful outdoor area to sit in and enjoy the scenery at the golf course. Chef Bill brings it like always! Love seeing the people that used to work at the location by the mall still with the restaurant. That is a testament of what a great place it is to work too. Will be back again soon. Loved it.
Loved adriatic for a long time. Always good without fail.
Server said that another table was more important then ours because they had a 5 year old child as to why she didn't bring us our drinks first. Food came out luke warm and mom mothers steak (on mothers day) was extremely undercooked.
Bugs in the water. Food took more than an hour and 30 minutes. Hair on my plate. Ambiance was ugly with poorly cut sheets of plastic between tables. Server was invasive and ingratiating
The quality and hospitality of the service is exceeded only by the amazing variety of and excellent food!
For some reason they can’t get the kitchen timing right at this place. It’s been a thing in past visits but it was really bad this time. Because of Covid we were seated as tables of six adults and five kids. Even though we ordered at the same time and nobody else was in the restaurant, by the time any kids got food most of the adults were done with theirs. It was easily a 20 minute difference.
The weird thing was the kids ordered butter noodles and salad. It wasn’t something intricate.
The service was good and the food is always pretty good. That said, most items on the menu seem priced about $5 more than they should be.
Food just like the old Adriatica! Yeah! Would highly recommend.
Our 44year anniversary was expecting a nice dining experience with some ambience. Instead we were seated in the bar at a table for 6. We ordered a cocktail, cup of mushroom soup and antipasto plate for our appetizer which was very good. We asked for another cocktail and ordered our dinner, spaghetti and clam fettuccine. We waited for our cocktails and our waitress said he was very busy and it would be awhile for our drinks. Not sure where all the people were that were ordering drinks as there were not many people there. Our dinner came and we canceled our cocktails. The spaghetti was dry and the clam fettuccine was awful and I should have sent it back. The tiny clams were full of sand and the fettuccine had no flavor. Overall the soup got a 10 everything else gets a 2 😢
This is the perfect patio for an delicious meal. Impeccable, friendly + warm service by Nicki + Becky. They have the best happy hour around all day on Mondays + Tuesdays. So far, the crab cakes are my favorite. Less cake than crab paired with a tasty smoked tomato sauce. I look forward to trying more dishes. This is an ideal spot for date day/night. Thank you greatly to all the staff at Adriatic Grill. 💖💖💖
Food and drinks were outstanding. Wait staff were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of.
We loved our server/bartender Elenore! The food is great, taking me back to one of my favorite Tacoma sposts, just in a new location. The interior, layout and feeling of the space is very dated. The whole interior of the building and the feel of the restaurant could use a freshening and modernization. But props for just being open and serving good food in these tough times!
Fine addition to Lakewood. Chef Bill knows what he is doing and puts out a great meal at fair price. Once the covid is over, he can expand this menu more. They are very good at cleaning and taking care with tables, etc. I had the Lasagna, which Bill has always been a master at doing, I recommend it. Wife had salad and enjoyed it. Wine list is good and they have a full bar.
Wonderful find at Oakbrook Golf Course. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place. Stopped in for lunch and found food and service worth 4 stars.
The bruschetta appetizer was delicious. The calamari was okay, too many small tentacles. It was tender. The clam linguine was very delicious. The Caesar salad with chicken was very good. The portions were generous. Service by David was very good, very attentive and very pleasant.
Delicious as always! So happy to be in doors again! The staff had a rough year! We appreciate each and everyone of them! Having to workthrough this pandemic and still providing us with great service and excellent food!!
Thank you all!!
Craig and Tammy Mazanti
We had a lovely dinner on the terrace. The service was courteous and prompt. We very much enjoyed this delicious outdoor meal.
Food was excellent as it always is when we dine here. My only complaint is that they dress their salads a bit too heavy. I had the shrimp spiedini, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. I paired it with a caesar salad. My daughter had the sliders and she said they were excellent. Hubby had the burger and he really enjoyed it. Always great service and their bread they serve beforehand is so delicious!
So happy that Adriatic has reopened their doors. We celebrated my birthday and our waitress was so energetic and informative. Thank you for making my birthday memorable.
So glad to see this restaurant come back! The food is just as good as it had always been.
I know we were eating in a golf club, but listening to a golf tournament in the restaurant (not the bar) was a little off-putting
