I wasn’t overly impressed with the Acorn Bar and Restaurant. My meal was of average quality and the other meals at my table were also average. There’s not a lot of ambience - I wouldn’t choose to dine there again.

Food always great but they forgot about our entrees which then had to come out with mains but said we wouldn’t be charged for entree yet were charged when bill rung up. Also had to remind them of the beer that was part of their special which didn’t come out.

The good service is let down by a very basic menu - unimaginative pub food. No specials board to give it a bit of a lift and very little suitable for vegetarians/ vegans. We have been visiting the Acorn over many years and through 3 owners. The food was amazing in the early years but has gone down hill. It’s a shame because it is a welcoming and fun place to visit- bands still too loud though.
