   Fabulous experience, one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had for a long time. Attentive but not obtrusive. Delicious and gave takeaway box as we couldn’t eat all the cakes. Will definitely recommend and visit again! Staff a credit. Warm and friendly. Excellent presentation of delicious food.

   Booked in advance. Arrived with 90 year old to be told dining room not serving lunch on a Saturday! How can this be anything other than unacceptable. Why accept the booking?

   Seated in the bar area so it was very noisy guests on work calls, checking in and out and plumbers looking at radiators. The food came out 20 mins after tea which was then cold and sadly the sandwiches were very hard almost stale. The waitress was lovely but she was the only positive from our experience.

   Seems that the hotel is starting again with a new inexperienced team. The food was OK and the waiter tried to deliver good service, but am not sure he had the appropriate training to deliver an afternoon experience that matched the £30 a head cost. Overall disappointing and not good value.

   Amazing afternoon tea; seated in the Lanson Champagne bar and were practically the only guests sitting for a 4PM tea. Wonderfully decadent to have the place virtually to ourselves on Christmas Eve Eve!

   We visited the apres ski bar after sight seeing in bath. We were a party of 12 and found it to be a comfortable relaxed atmosphere, and very festive! Would definitely visit again.

   We waited 35 minutes to order and then another 40 for the food to come even though there was no one else there. When the food arrived we were told they were out of stock for the kids starters so they just brought out the mains and they had no peas either. Really poor all round. The young man working was nice but there were a lot of issues.

   Booked restaurant but had to sut in bar as dining room had a coachload in for afternoon tea. Bar luckily was quiet. Had to ask for menus, but eventually had drinks and meals were great. Great service by bar staff. Asked for dessert nenu abd was told NO DESSERTS as kitchen dealing with afternoon tea. Very very disappointing..can't believe a kitchen/hotel if this caliber couldn't provide desserts. We booked well in advance for them to have told us beforehand. Would we have had same service had we been staying guests. Our Birthday treats were spoiled as we had to look elsewhere for dessert and drinks. Bar staff very apologetic and obviously embarrassed. Not the dining experience we had envisaged.

    I booked a table for 3 Dec, it was a rainy day so we were looking forward to a cosy place for a drink. We arrived on time and our table was just being vacated which was fine. There was no staff to clear the table so we did it ourselves. At the bar the drinks very limited. They had run out of white and red wine, I appreciated it was a champagne bar but the champagne they were serving was of a very low quality. Once we ordered we went back with our drinks to the table. Where I sat the wall was wet as the rain got through. The overall feel of the place was very poor, nothing like on the pictures, even the decorations on the website if you look closely are not the same, must be last year photos. The whole place looked cheap, which it was, cheap long shed with badly stocked bar. We finished our drink and left. I would not recommend the place as there are better bars to have a drink than in a leaking shed.
