Another enjoyable night out, even with COVID restrictions in place (which they were very serious about. Great dinner and they made us feel very at home.
Thank you so much, Richard, for joining us on Halloween and for taking the time to post your 5-Star Review. We do take all of our safety protocols seriously so guests can relax and have a great evening with us. We hope to see you again soon.
That's Amore takes COVID seriously. We felt very safe there. The food is excellent! Very nice atmosphere. We would highly recommend!
Thank you very much, Ack7, to post your 5-star review. And thanks for putting into words the spirit which guides us every day: We do take COVID very serious, but that only works if you feel safe while you're there. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
We dined for our anniversary. They sat us at a table in front of the window, which had a beautiful view of downtown! Service was kind and attentive, Covid precautions were closely managed, and the food (chicken piccata, Caesar salad, polenta cakes, table bread) and wine were delicious. We very much enjoyed our celebrator dinner!
Thank you so much, Kristin, for the 5-star review. We aim to provide safe and unobtrusive COVID measures while you enjoy the amazing view matched by our great food and service. Thank you for the honor of serving your anniversary dinner!
This was our first dining out experience since Covid and for our 22nd anniversary, we couldn't have been more pleased. From moments before we arrived and received a text from the owner that our awesome window table was running about 5 minutes behind to walking up to the door and being immediately greeted and temperature checked, to being seated and greeted by our server, the experience was phenomenal and the view of downtown was an amazing bonus. Our food was fine but not out of this world and while I know that wine is marked up, I couldn't give 5 stars for value. What gives That's Amore 5 stars overall was the delightful experience!
Thank you very much for taking the time to post your 5-Star review, Bday. We've drastically changed our business model and operations to meet the challenges of these extraordinary times. Your comments give us a much-needed pat on the back that our guest experience continues to be on par with our great food. Thanks for trusting us for your first dine-in experience.
The food was good, just not flavorful... I had the Dungeness crab pasta and my boyfriend had the Wild Boar Ragu. I just wished it was at least seasoned with salt and pepper. But overall a nice place.
Thanks for taking the time to post your review, Glenda. I'll pass your salt/pepper suggestions on to chef. Sometimes a guest can nudge us into a course correction, so we really appreciate your comments.
So nice to be able to go back to That's Amore. I just recommended it to a friend!
Thank you so much for your review and the referral, Teresa. We are so happy that folks like you have returned to the dining room, so thanks for trusting us to provide a great meal in a healthy environment.
Somehow there was still a same-day Friday dinner reservation and I am so glad there was! The staff is SO nice and attentive. They were very safe and went above and beyond to provide a safe and healthy eating environment. The tables have curtains between them to give some privacy and also designate areas due to the increased restrictions. The food was SO good. We shared a caprese salad to start along with some fresh baked bread. For our entrees I had the crab pasta (which was amazing) and my partner had the chicken risotto special with mushrooms. We also shared the tiramisu for dessert. Perfect date night spot!
Fabulous food. Wine priced affordably. Be sure to try the tomato basil soup. Otherworldly.
It’s a great little restaurant in Mt Baker. The food was wonderful and the desserts and homemade bread were fantastic ! Best cannoli I have ever had.
Fantastic experience. Just moved to the neighborhood and felt right at “home”; definitely recommend dessert! We’ll be back.
Thank you for the 5-star review, A. Our tagline is, "Welcome Home," and to know we've created that same vibe with outdoor dining alone makes us very happy.
The best food and the nicest owners! We were hesitant to dine during COVID but we felt extremely safe sitting outside on their small patio. We will be back! Thank you!
Thank you very much for the 5-start review, Lauren. We were honored that you chose us for your anniversary, especially during these extraordinary times. And thank you for letting other people know that our updated procedures to address the pandemic–from everything to spacing of tables to how the food arrives at the table–haven't diminished the quality of our meals nor dampened our ability to create a relaxed experience.
This place is everything you do not get in larger impersonal resturants. For a meal that you will tell friends about - this is it.
You hit the bulleye with this review, Oly. We want our guests to remember the experience as much as the food. Thank you so much. -Guy (proper pronunciation is, "Gah.") For those of you reading this thinking, "what the what?" That's a joke from our dinner conversation.
Excellent food and service as always. We’ve been several times in the past. This was our first dining out experience since the pandemic and wow did we ever pick the best place to go! We were celebrating our birthdays (6 months overdue because of the pandemic) David one of the owners and our server( I believe her name is Jena) made us feel so special like we were the only ones there!
They have excellent safety protocols so we felt very secure the entire time. We sat outside and our table was well positioned away from the other tables. Our entire meal and wine was delicious. The dessert was homemade by our server it was also delicious! She even treated us to it as a special birthday gift. Now that’s personal service!
We've read your amazing review to everyone who can't run away fast enough, A. Non. We are so glad you chose us for your celebrations, and it means a lot to us that guests are noticing the extra safety measures we have in place beyond what's required. David and Jena are a fantastic team.
The owners are very nice people and the location is in a great neighborhood. Food is always delicious and the service is exemplary. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good food with great service in a quiet very nice neighborhood restaurant.
You are so kind, John, to provide such a glowing review and rating. We are so thrilled to once again offer outdoor dining in addition to our curbside service.
We have been going there since 1995, and there is a reason why we keep coming back. The food is wonderful, the prices are reasonable, the view of downtown Seattle from the south is unique and superb, and the staff is enjoyable.
Whoo Hoo, DerekH. Thanks for hitting our trifecta of service: Reasonably-priced wonderful food, the view (even though you do stroll to the north end of the building and enjoy it in the Viewpoint Park), and enjoyable service. See you again soon.
Fantastic food, excellent service and great ambience. It really felt like special occasion!
Thanks for the fantastic 5-star review, Brunal. Since we choose not to provide indoor dining yet, it's affirming to get comments on our ambience and service. We've enjoyed that sidewalk cafe space for years, and we know how to make it as enjoyable as dining in. We strive for every guest to feel like they're celebrating something special. Glad to know we hit it with you.
During this Covid phase 2, we dined outside at a table for two. The sidewalk dining was nice on a temperate July evening after a trying week of work. We had a nice rose to open the experience and freshly made house bread with olive oil and balsalmic. We skipped the salad in favor of dessert so we started with the special, rosotto with wild mushrooms and boneless chicken, and the newly restyled chicken parmagian. Both were full of flavor and nice to have freshly made to serve instead of take out soggy cold at home. The dessert was new, raspberry cake - two cylindrical layers with cream and raspberries. There was more magic in the cake than my description since we nearly licked the dessert plates. We lingered for a bit longer finishing our rose bottle. It was really nice to eat out again at one of our favorite local restaurants.
We so very much appreciate your 5-star review, bluetreedog. We really love when someone narrates through each course of their meal. For future reference: We don't stand on ceremony here and never frown on people licking their plates. And it's very satisfying to watch people linger over their wine and enjoy the dining experience again. So thank you.
That's Amore was the perfect place for my birthday dinner during the pandemic. Outdoor seating was out in the open and our server (one of the owner), placed all of the food and drink on an adjacent table for us to retrieve to keep social distance. All the while, you still got the chatter and social interaction that we're all so missing. Never mind the fact that the food was divine (it always is!). Will definitely return soon and love having this wonderful restaurant with delicious food and delightful service so close by.
Thank you so much, Ryan, for the 5-star review and the extra comments. So glad the changes we're using–such as the, "common-ground," table that keeps you from having my mask right up against yours–are appreciated. You get on back here for another divine experience soon, ya hear?
Excellent Caesar salad to start. Both the crab pasta and chicken Marsala were scrumptious. Service was the best as we enjoyed our meal outside on a beautiful day.
Thank you so much, josher, for the 5-star review. It's so nice to read that our food–and service–have retained their, "scrumptious," nature. And thank you for supporting the cafe during these uncertain times.
An amazing restaurant with incredible food. I've never had a bad experience or dish. The owner and staff have always been amazing and friendly. Definitely give it a try!
Thank you very much for the 5-star review, James. Sorry it took awhile to respond as we've been running curbside service for both lunch and dinner. I'm glad y'all got to be with us in the dining room. We can't wait to see you again when this, too, shall pass.
Great food and service in a homey atmosphere. It’s one of the few places we go to repeatedly.
Thank you very much, Shari, for your 5-start review and your additional comments. You've handed us a compliment in all of the three pillars we live by: Great food, great service, and that feeling stated in our tagline below our name on the menu: Welcome Home.
This is place just so cool. The view of the city is stunning yet serene, the service is the right balance of attentive and hands-off, and the food is all deliciously simple and well-prepared. I had my anniversary dinner there with friends and it was an epic time!
Thank you so very much, phatmann, for the 5-Star Review and your comments. "Just so cool," made my night, and I'll be working on my delivery of that line for the next person asks what kind of place we are. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special night. We look forward to seeing you again.
We love this wonderful restaurant. It's our special go to place for celebrations and for visiting out of town guests. Beautiful views, creative food and the best customer service possible.
Hi there, Twigs, So nice of you to post such an awesome 5-star review during this time. I actually love when there's a lag between someone enjoying their meal with us and when they post..I like to think of that time as when you're baking your review, and it turns out oh-so-good.
Favorite South End neighborhood restaurant. Consistently good food, fair prices, and friendly staff. Space is a bit tight (pre-Covid) but comfortable. It can be a bit loud, but not in a bad way.
Thank you for the 5 stars, Max. Boy do I have good news to pile on top of your review: We've made tons of changes to the dining room. So when we do open the dining room, you'll enjoy the same staff with fewer tables (extra space) and sound dampening floors...not to mention everything else that's in our all-new dining room.
I love this neighborhood restaurant - they are all about great food, great service and a great experience. The meal is consistent and is a fair price. Have recommended many times and have brought friends. 👍🏻💕😋
Thank you so much, SeattleCindy, for the 5-Star Review and the comments. We strive to go beyond just serving food and instead creating an experience around the food that Chef Richard creates.
Great food, great wine with great friends.
Thanks, A, for taking the time to shore your 5-star review with us and other diners!
Enjoyed their new Oregon Pinot Noir!!
Whoo Hoo! Our prior Pinot Nero was definitely not hitting the Mark (get it?), so I took a chance on this winery that's new to us. The Laurel Ridge Pinot Noir performed beyond expectations. Kudos to our long-time wine rep who has taught me so much over the years and whose recommendations have helped me expand our offerings. He's the same vendor who convinced me to add the Kvanchkara. If you haven't tried it yet with dessert, you're missing out on a little-known treat.
Small intimate restaurant with authentic Italian food. Service was a little slow, but clearly both servers were pretty busy.
Thank you for the 4-star review, AtriC. We know it takes time and effort to determine a rating and to provide additional comments; and we appreciate you taking the time for both. We'll be at the ready to get that fourth star next time you're in the dining room.
Took my wife there for her birthday. The food was great and the staff went out of their way to make the night perfect.
Thank you so much for trusting with your wife's birthday dinner. The food is pretty great, and we always strive to match it with personalized service.
We went for Valentine's Day dessert pig-out and all three choices were excellent. The lemon sorbet was perfectly tart, and quite a large portion. The chocolate decadence was divinely rich and creamy. The two cannoli were creatively done with candied orange peel and butterscotch chips. The staff were friendly but the service a bit slapdash. Unfortunately for us there was a table of about 12 young men drinking and laughing very loudly. This restaurant is always noisy when full but we didn't expect that on a late weeknight.
We always appreciate high ratings and detailed reviews; so thank you for taking the time to write about your evening, Linda. And it's so nice of you to have your pre-Valentine's pig-out with us! Sometimes a large, loud table can absorb staff attention just as much as they grab other diners' attention with the noise. We'll be more cognizant of those factors. Thanks again!
great service, great food and perfect for date night.
We appreciate your 5-Star Review. Thanks for taking the time to rate us, Anonymous!
It was of great value and very tasty.
Thank you very much, EastsideDiner, for posting your 5-start review and for including your personal notes. We strive to provide tasty food at a great value every night of the week. Thanks for the confirmation.
Great view, quaint warm restaurant with great food & genuinely welcoming service
Your 5-star review hits all our best parts, Amanda. Thank you so much for taking the time to post it.
Reliable neighborhood place with everything from pizza to “gourmet” specials. Never had a bad meal. On a Saturday night it was pretty loud but so is everyplace, it seems.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post your 5-star review, Jane. The noise level sometimes gets to us, too, and we're investigating solutions.
Great food and fun neighborhood spot! Kids liked it too. Will definitely try again!
We really appreciate you taking the time to post your 5-star review, seattlegal. We always strive to have our service and atmosphere match the awesome food, and it sounds like we hit the sweet spot for your family. Yeah us! We hope you'll be trying us again soon.
Always great !
We really appreciate you taking the time to post your 5-star review, Mark. It's always nice when our guests affirm our efforts to provide great meals with great service every time. We hope to see you in the dining room again soon.
We were promptly seated a few minutes before our reservation to a ya le near the window and were able to see the beautiful view of the city. Dinner was excellent. When we ordered dessert and they found out it was my partners birthday they comped the dessert which was much appreciated! The only two minor downsides was that it was quite chilly in the space and they didn’t refill my water for a while but a great neighborhood spot! We will be back.
We really appreciate you taking the time to post your 5-star review, Loveleeb. It's our pleasure to add a little something special–like a dessert on us–when you choose to celebrate your special occasions with us. We're playing closer attention to the temperature in the dining room and watching for glasses in need of water. We hope to see you in the dining room again soon.
Family experience with Gormet tastes!
Don’t miss this place
We really appreciate you taking the time to post your 5-star review, OldSchool. Our team works every night to provide a great experience for families, dates, single diners, etc. as they enjoy our food. We hope to see you in the dining room again soon.
Always a great date night restaurant. Super friendly staff, great views and good food.
Guy and David (owners) and staff are amazing! They've turned this neighborhood restaurant into one of our favorites. fresh pasta and specials were delicious!!!
