   Hidden gem with amazing quality food. Very unique and personal experience. Had the pleasure of having the place all to ourselves on a rainy Wednesday evening.    Amazing value for quality omakase! Fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. My husband loved the complimentary sake. Service was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back.

   I can’t tell you how great this experience was. The food was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was perfect. The sake was the perfect pairing. The staff were perfect and attentive. I would absolutely recommend anyone who reads this to treat yourself to this truly wonderful experience.

   Wow! Don't hesitate to make a reservation. I celebrated my birthday here and the host & chefs made it very special. The fish quality is top notch, the price is reasonable, and it's definitely top 2 omakase's I've ever been to. The trajectory/flow of the omakase was extremely balanced, which is not always the case, and made the night especially good. Already looking forward to coming back here.

   Fantastic restaurant and SO lucky to have such an incredible spot in Queens! Delicious sushi and very creative appetizers, some of the best in the whole city for an amazing price. Absolutely coming back again and again!

    Outstanding service! Food was on the top level, we were geeeted with green tea while waiting for our tables to be prepared. Food was described in a nice friendly fashion, would highly recommend coming here for a date or any occasion!

    Great food, friendly staff and servers, unlimited sake, and the omakase was great! Been to half a dozen omakase experiences and this one was the first one where we were full! The otoro with truffle on top was amazing. We were celebrating an anniversary and they brought us a cheesecake slice which was so kind of them!

    We really enjoyed everything about this experience! The food was incredible, the service was on point and the atmosphere was very chill. The only thing I didn’t love was that they don’t have the price correct only and no price listed on the website or on a menu when you arrive so we went in thinking it was going to cost one thing and came out paying a bit more than expected. It was still very much worth what we paid but a little more clarity would’ve been appreciated

    We had an excellent dining experience at That Place Omakase. The sushi chefs were amazing and highly skilled. The gentleman who attended to our other needs was very attentive and kind. The dishes were beautifully prepared, fresh, and unique. The ambiance was relaxed and the decor on the floral backdrop along the walls was a nice touch. As an omakase experience, it was as good if not better than the pricier Manhattan omakase spots we have been to and we will definitely return.

    This was my first time at an omakase place, and it was amazing. The owner/host, Chris, answered any questions we had and was very welcoming. The food was amazing, the service was attentive, and the music and ambiance complemented the experience nicely. It was definitely worth the price, and I look forward to going back!

    The server we had was the owner. We were lucky enough to be there with his childhood friend. They were so nice and so much fun. It was well worth the price. The quality of food was superb and even food I wouldn’t normally eat at was amazing. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Would be great for a date or a friends night out. I didn’t take any pictures of the sushi part Of dinner as i may have had a few sake at that point.
