Thasos is a haven for those who don’t want to speed through moments in time. Surrender to the inviting yet transportive environment and allow your imagination to wander to the allure of the Greek isles. A place where pretense diminishes and guests are invited to unwind from the frenzy of life’s distractions by taking one back to a place of cascading blues and pearly whites: welcome to Thasos.
Sample delights inspired by the long-standing culinary traditions of the Greek culture presented with a fresh, modern twist. The menu is reminiscent of the undulating textures in the Mediterranean. Just as ancient fishermen were inspired by the vast oceanic beauty, we were inspired to capture the true essence of the sea. The menu honors Thasos' lush landscape and exterior, by blending the boundaries between nature and artifice.

Thasos Ratings and Reviews
We had 8:00 reservations, but did not get seated until 8:40. We ordered Spanakopita for an appetizer, only to be told they were all out. When a friend and I were going to order the same dish, the waiter suggested we share because it was large, which we happily did, and was grateful for the advice. However, when they brought the dish, they didn’t bring us plates to eat it on. It took several minutes down someone to bring us plates! The food was excellent, however, I would have liked the waiter to be a little bit more attentive. It was very crowded and very loud, but I will go back!
Went on Valentine's day. Thought a reservation would be good enough to get a table around that time. Seemed like the restaurant way overbooked. Waited about 20 minutes for a dinner that was reserved. Didn't get any server at our table for the first 15 minutes. They seemed very rushed/short staffed/overbooked. The staff seemed to just want us in and out and was rushing us through the entire dinner and completely ignored us after our entrees were served. The food was good, they were polite, but again, I think they were way overbooked. Was really crowded and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. I've been there before many times and each time since the first it's gotten progressively worse. I don't think I'll go again. The food is good, but I just don't think it's worth it overall.
When visiting area we usually make reserve but end up at bar for drinks and Meze plates. Despite a noble effort by the staff to keep up with intense pace of a sat nite they lost the battle and we clients were the casualties. Food quality remains high fortunately. Suggest going early or late, try weeknites, or expect long frustrating wait time. Still, they know their Greek cuisine.
The service was absolutely horrible. We were seated and questioned for the reservation number (of people). The manager was super rude and didn’t apologize until midway through the meal. Our appetizers came and we ate them before our drinks even got to the table. The. We ordered entrees and they took about 45 minutes to come. The manager told us we would get free drinks but they charged us for all the drinks. It was unbelievable.
there are multiple choices of delicious fresh fish--with options not found at other restaurants-along with usual options (bronzino, salmon). The fish is grilled to perfection. The greek salad is fresh and tasty. The other appetizers and dips are worth sampling. We always have a great meal.
Although the food is very good, the ambiance is very disturbing. The general feel of the space is very loud to begin with. Add to that a very loud band playing and it was impossible to have a conversation with a person across the table. I couldn't wait to be finished. I have been to Thasos on several occasions because the food is good. But I will not be going back.
Came here with my husband on a Friday night for a romantic dinner, and had the best time! The place is absolutely beautiful, food was awesome and the best part of the night was the flawless service we received from our waiter George Kontis who was such a professional! Thank you so much for a wonderful night! We will definitely be back!
Very good food was marred by incredibly sloppy service. Wrong appetizer delivered. Then, entrees brought out while correct appetizers were still being eaten. Fish had to be sent back to keep warm. When asked to bring out a new plate of vegetables (which had been sitting for 10 minutes while we finished our appetizers), the waiter asked if it was really cold. The hostess basically just blew us off when we brought the service issues to her attention.
Would expect better at these prices.
Although the food, fish especially was excellent many other parts of the meal were lacking. They had a variety of fish, all on display yet when asking the waiter about the fish all he said that they were white, flaky fishes. Fish was prepared very well but service was mediocre at best. Greek salad was good but small. Entrees come with no sides so you need to purchase side dishes to round count the meal. Fish was fairly priced and nice size portions.
Waiters need to be better prepared to serve customers who have never been there before.
Was here for a birthday dinner and I can honestly say that James was a delight. Made my girlfriend incredibly happy and made the food choice sound like we needed to eat everything on it. Her dinner and birthday cake was delicious and best of all was the violinist that made her dinner time even more memorable.
Beautiful restaurant which we have enjoyed many times in the past when it was Nisi? Decided to spend NYE there with friends. After an hour of waiting at the bar for our reservation, and watching the table that our hostess told us would be ours, we were dismayed when others walked into into the restaurant and promptly sat at what was to be our table. We were told they were friends of the owners. After further discussion, we were finally seated. We sat at our table waiting for a server for more than 10 minutes, and I got up and asked the hostess to please send one over. The place was woefully understaffed for what was surely to be a big night. When our waiter finally arrived, we promptly placed our orders. Entrees arrived quickly and before our appetizers and salads, which finally came out and additionally waiting. We were just happy to eat. As we were leaving, we felt sorry for the line out the door of patrons waiting to be seated. The place could benefit from some real management and most likely would make more money and maybe stay in business.
