Thasos is a haven for those who don’t want to speed through moments in time. Surrender to the inviting yet transportive environment and allow your imagination to wander to the allure of the Greek isles. A place where pretense diminishes and guests are invited to unwind from the frenzy of life’s distractions by taking one back to a place of cascading blues and pearly whites: welcome to Thasos.
Sample delights inspired by the long-standing culinary traditions of the Greek culture presented with a fresh, modern twist. The menu is reminiscent of the undulating textures in the Mediterranean. Just as ancient fishermen were inspired by the vast oceanic beauty, we were inspired to capture the true essence of the sea. The menu honors Thasos' lush landscape and exterior, by blending the boundaries between nature and artifice.

Thasos Ratings and Reviews
Very good food was marred by incredibly sloppy service. Wrong appetizer delivered. Then, entrees brought out while correct appetizers were still being eaten. Fish had to be sent back to keep warm. When asked to bring out a new plate of vegetables (which had been sitting for 10 minutes while we finished our appetizers), the waiter asked if it was really cold. The hostess basically just blew us off when we brought the service issues to her attention.
Would expect better at these prices.
Although the food, fish especially was excellent many other parts of the meal were lacking. They had a variety of fish, all on display yet when asking the waiter about the fish all he said that they were white, flaky fishes. Fish was prepared very well but service was mediocre at best. Greek salad was good but small. Entrees come with no sides so you need to purchase side dishes to round count the meal. Fish was fairly priced and nice size portions.
Waiters need to be better prepared to serve customers who have never been there before.
Was here for a birthday dinner and I can honestly say that James was a delight. Made my girlfriend incredibly happy and made the food choice sound like we needed to eat everything on it. Her dinner and birthday cake was delicious and best of all was the violinist that made her dinner time even more memorable.
Beautiful restaurant which we have enjoyed many times in the past when it was Nisi? Decided to spend NYE there with friends. After an hour of waiting at the bar for our reservation, and watching the table that our hostess told us would be ours, we were dismayed when others walked into into the restaurant and promptly sat at what was to be our table. We were told they were friends of the owners. After further discussion, we were finally seated. We sat at our table waiting for a server for more than 10 minutes, and I got up and asked the hostess to please send one over. The place was woefully understaffed for what was surely to be a big night. When our waiter finally arrived, we promptly placed our orders. Entrees arrived quickly and before our appetizers and salads, which finally came out and additionally waiting. We were just happy to eat. As we were leaving, we felt sorry for the line out the door of patrons waiting to be seated. The place could benefit from some real management and most likely would make more money and maybe stay in business.
Although seating was delayed due to an unexpected group, we ate at the bar. Service could not have been better. Pacing of courses was perfect. Great seat to observe the seamless dance of staff, servers and general ambiance. One course is better than the next. Go. You will not be disappointed.
We have gone to this restaurant twice before in the past few years and it was excellent--good food and service, lively bar scene but a booth toward the rear of the restaurant offered us a good experience (in other words, we were able to have a conversation). However, when we arrived a few nights ago the place was dominated by very loud music. When we talked to the hostess about it, she moved us (party of 6) to a large dining table at the front of the restaurant adjacent to the bar. The move saved our evening. Once we were settled, the waiter took very good care of us and the food was very good (although the roast chicken I was hoping for is no longer on the menu).
Went there for Xmas dinner and it was fabulous. We had the Saganaki and all of the spreads to start.
They were fantastic. Had the lamb and the Bronzino for dinner. Both were unbelievable.
Desert was superb as always.
We love this restaurant and will go back and back.
You could be in an upscale to Taverna in Mykonos and but you are at Tosos which is even nicer. Lovely, high style decor, very friendly waitstaff and very good menu. Very cheerful bouzouki music combined with old favorites. But the music makes the atmosphere and it’s not intrusive.
I had dinner with a date on Christmas and it was lovely. I sat on the terrace and the server was fabulous; the food, as always was superb, and the music was amazing. We even got up to dance with patrons from other tables. This restaurant is beautiful and in my opinion is the best Greek food around.
We all liked the place very much but it is rather noisy . We asked to be seated in a quiet zone so that we could have a conversation......still noisy but not as much. The service was excellent and the food was very good. My only complaint is the noise. It was live music but that doesn't make it better. Noise is noise .
I love the food and the ambiance. This was not the first time I had been here. The food and ambiance were still outstanding but the service on this occasion was really bad. There is no sugar coating it, our waiter was the pits when we were here this time. There was a large holiday party of some sort and most of the wait staff was devoted to that party. I am not sure if that meant our waiter was trying to man too much of the rest of the house or not, or if maybe someone called out on top of that....but whatever the reason, it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had anywhere. Our waiter went missing before taking our order so we sat there, with the appetizer I had ordered as soon as I sat down done (the zucchini! I could eat just that and be in heaven).....no water/nothing to drink and waiting to place an order....when he came over, we asked for water and he walked away in the middle of us saying we would like to order now....walked away in the middle of us still speaking! He went to a table near us (we thought maybe he had remembered something he needed to do for them) but then walked away completely and didn't come back to us, forgot our water and we had to grab him when he went back to the other table..... It was a little surreal....it was that way the whole night. Even when we tried to get the bill to pay. He just disappeared....the restaurant was virtually empty at this point where we were and we couldn't find him. It was just awful.
I love this place and definitely will chalk this up to one bad night because it wasn't like any other time I've gone and is NOT representative of the service. But if the same guy is my waiter next time, I will need to ask for someone new.
