Banquet style event with banquet style food at a premium price. Food was fine but not for the price.

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving at the French Lick Springs Hotel. The food choices were extensive and covered the traditional items from many regions. Everything was delicious. I did find that nothing was very hot, it might need to be hotter when served because of the way it is set out and the time to return to the table. Our waitress was so sweet and took care of all our needs efficiently, as well as those of the other larger parties around us. She even went out of her way to find us as we left to thank us for the tip we left on the table.

Very costly. Some of the food was very good but the turkey was horrible. It had some kind of rub on it and was very salty. Vegetables were delicious. Service was fine. Staff at French Lick are always friendly. Buffets are difficult because, by the time you get your food and sit down it is cold. Would prefer being served.

French Lick did a spectacular job with the Thanksgiving day dinner. Very well organized which made wait time to purchase drink, be seated, buffet and paying minimal. All employees were extremely nice and food and presentation were fantastic. We are planning on going again next year.

The chocolate festival was amazing, a great variety of chocolates and desserts and great drinks but felt it was a bit over priced, at 50 bucks per person! The food is all chocolate and we felt it would have been nice to be able to take some home with us. Since you can only eat so much chocolate before it makes you sick! We also felt it would have been better if the time of the event would have been around evening/ after dinner times. Since again its all desserts and chocolates and nothing else, this would be something that would be great after a dinner or even set into the dinner times. It was from 1-4pm kind of a odd time if you ask me! But overall great!

The food was great could have had more small tables to be a bit more private. I thought the price was a bit high thirty dollars per person would have been more inline.

Had a great time sampling the different chocolate based foods. Spent two hours there and still didn't sample a third of what was available. The lectures/demonstrations were entertaining and informative. Tommie's chocolatini was superb!

As first time goers, I and my sisters had a lovely time at this choc festival. We enjoyed trying different things and just being together at something that we hadn't experienced before. It was an eye catching atmosphere when we walked in and very well done. The only thing we can critique is that it would have been nice if at the end of the time a server could have given everyone a small box to take home a few of our favorite things. For the cost we all thought that would have been nice.

Food was good, service was excellent- the chef came out to help my wife decide which foods were ok for her with her dairy allergy, and they made gravy special for her. The decor was pretty plain. Big open room, tables lined with chafing dishes, very little done to make buffet look nice. Could have used a bit of dressing up the tables to make the ambiance a bit nicer.

Food was amazing. However, I felt for the price they could have included soda and champagne. Ambiance could have also been better. It was like a fish bowl. Lighting could have been lower, maybe candles, decor that would have warmed it up a bit, made it feel more homey.

While our server was non-existent (except when he delivered the check), the food was superb and the hotel itself was lovely. We did wish for a few more Christmas decorations and louder Christmas music in the ballroom itself.

The food was without taste. Think large chain restaurant buffet with less selection or nursing home. The tables were arranged in a large, impersonal, conference room. There didn't seem to be a pleased face in the place.

Server took our drink order but never returned with our drinks. We had to flag down our waiter and give him our drink orders again. Food was delicious but seemed pricey for what we were able to eat. This was our fourth year for going to the buffet but do not think we will be going next year.

Holiday buffets can be hit or miss, but this one was a definite hit. It was set up in a large ballroom, so there was plenty of space for the four buffet lines, two carving stations, and dessert table. Reservations were staggered so there was never much of a wait in line and it didn't feel at all crowded. The food was delicious, with a good variety of meat and vegetable dishes, plus many sweet delights. French Lick Resort is so elegant but also friendly, and the service at the buffet carried out this theme. Winner winner, turkey dinner!

A bit pricey for a buffet, but a great way to do thanksgiving when cooking a big meal for few people doesn't make sense. Will definitely do it again.
